  • This work presents a simulation model for a specific UV disinfection system (UVDS) powered by a Photovoltaic System. The global UVDS also includes the electronic converters, Electronic Ballast, UV Lamp and Motor Pump. The equations that model the physical components' behaviour are connected to obtain a dynamic global model. The latter is converted in a Simulink/Matlab model, which allows to carry out simulation series concerning the entire UVDS. The physical parameters: the irradiation G and the temperature T, are considered as inputs. series of measurements carried out in order to show how these parameters affect the current, the voltage of the PVs and especially the value of the current of the UV lamp, on the other hand a study on the behavior and the evolution of the parameters of the motor pump such as the armature current, motor torque, speed of rotation and the water flow. The purpose of all this is to realize how important are the two parameters concerning the lamp current and the water flow because they are two very important factors to keep an adequate water quality.

  • Recently, major developed countries have strengthened automobile fuel efficiency regulations and carbon dioxide emission allowance standards to curb climate change caused by global warming worldwide. Accordingly, research and manufacturing on electric vehicles that do not emit pollutants during actual driving on the road are being conducted. Several automobile companies are producing and testing electric vehicles to commercialize them, but it takes a lot of manpower and time to test and evaluate mass-produced electric vehicles with driving mileage of more than 300km on a per-charge. Therefore, in order to reduce this, a simulation model was developed in this study. This study used vehicle information and MCT speed profile of small electric vehicle as basic data. It was developed by applying Simulink, which models the system in a block diagram method using MATLAB software. Based on the vehicle dynamics, the simulation model consisted of major components of electric vehicles such as motor, battery, wheel/tire, brake, and acceleration. Through the development model, the amount of change in battery SOC and the mileage during driving were calculated. For verification, battery SOC data and vehicle speed data were compared and analyzed using CAN communication during the chassis dynamometer test. In addition, the reliability of the simulation model was confirmed through an analysis of the correlation between the result data and the data acquired through CAN communication.

  • High-utility itemset mining (HUIM) is a dominant technology that enables enterprises to make real-time decisions, including supply chain management, customer segmentation, and business analytics. However, classical support value-driven Apriori solutions are confined and unable to meet real-time enterprise demands, especially for large amounts of input data. This study introduces a groundbreaking model for top-N high utility itemset mining in real-time enterprise applications. Unlike traditional Apriori-based solutions, the proposed convolutional sequential embedding metrics-driven cosine-similarity-based multilayer perception learning model leverages global and contextual features, including semantic attributes, for enhanced top-N recommendations over sequential transactions. The MATLAB-based simulations of the model on diverse datasets, demonstrated an impressive precision (0.5632), mean absolute error (MAE) (0.7610), hit rate (HR)@K (0.5720), and normalized discounted cumulative gain (NDCG)@K (0.4268). The average MAE across different datasets and latent dimensions was 0.608. Additionally, the model achieved remarkable cumulative accuracy and precision of 97.94% and 97.04% in performance, respectively, surpassing existing state-of-the-art models. This affirms the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed model in real-time enterprise scenarios.

  • Previous research on solar power generation forecasting has generally relied on meteorological data, leading to lower prediction accuracy. This study, in contrast, uses actual measured power generation data to train various ANN (Artificial Neural Network) models and compares their prediction performance. Additionally, it describes the characteristics and advantages of each ANN model. The paper defines the principles of solar power generation, the characteristics of solar panels, and the model equations, and it also explains the I-V characteristics of solar cells. The results include a comparison between calculated and actual measured power generation, along with an evaluation of the accuracy of power generation predictions using artificial intelligence. The findings confirm that the LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) model performs better than the MLP (Multi- Layer Perceptron) model in handling time-series data.

  • A proportional integral derivative (PID) controller is designed and applied to a magnetic levitation conveyor system to control the levitation gap length of the electromagnet constantly. The PID gain parameters are optimized by response surface methods (RSM). The controller is verified with the state-space model of electromagnetic suspension by MATLAB/SIMULINK program. And, the controller and the state-space model are also verified experimentally. Simulation and experimental results shows the effectiveness of the PID gain tuning by RSM as compared with the classical PID tuning.

  • The benchmark on the ASCE cable-stayed bridge has gathered since its proposal the interest of many specialists in the field of the structural control and the dynamic response of long span bridges. Starting from the original benchmark statement in the MATLAB framework, a refined version of the bridge model is developed in the ANSYS commercial finite element environment. A passive structural control system is studied through non linear numerical analyses carried out in time domain for several seismic realizations in a multiple support framework. An innovative electro-inductive device is considered. Its positive performance is compared with an alternative version considering traditional metallic dampers.

  • To satisfy the high voltage direct current (HVDC) grid connection demand for wind power generation system, a novel topology and control strategy of HVDC grid connection for open-winding permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based wind power generation system is proposed, in which two generator-side converter and two isolated DC/DC converters are used to transmit the wind energy captured by open winding PMSG to HVDC grid. By deducing the mathematic model of open winding PMSG, the vector control technique, position sensorless operation, and space vector modulation strategy is applied to implement the stable generation operation of PMSG. Finally, the simulation model based on MATLAB is built to validate the availability of the proposed control strategy.

  • A wind generator system model includes wind model, rotor dynamics, synchronous generator, power converter, distribution line and infinite bus. This paper investigates the low-Voltage Ride-Through capability of PMSG wind turbine in a variable speed. The drive train of a wind turbine on 2-mass modeling can observe the shaft torsional vibration when the low-voltage occur. To reduce the torsional vibration when the low-voltage occur, this paper designs suppression control algorithm of the torsional vibration and implements simulation. The simulation based on MATLAB/SIMULINK has validated at the transient state of the PMSG and an experiment using 3kW simulator has validated the LVRT control.

  • Variable step size maximum power point trackers (MPPTs) are widely used in photovoltaic (PV) systems to extract the peak array power which depends on solar irradiation and array temperature. One essential factor which judges system dynamics and steady state performances is the scaling factor (N), which is used to update the controlling equation in the tracking algorithm to determine a new duty cycle. This paper proposes a novel stability study of variable step size incremental resistance maximum power point tracking (INR MPPT). The main contribution of this analysis appears when developing the overall small signal model of the PV system. Therefore, by using linear control theory, the boundary value of the scaling factor can be determined. The theoretical analysis and the design principle of the proposed stability analysis have been validated using MATLAB simulations, and experimentally using a fixed point digital signal processor (TMS320F2808).
