  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the effects of physical manipulative and exploratory geometry software on the spatial sense for 5th grade elementary school students in learning nets. For this purpose, ton experimental group used Geofix, an operational learning tool, and the experimental group used Cabri 3D, an exploratory geometry software to learn the nets of solids. The comparison group was learned by worksheet only without any manipulative or software. Spatial sense tests were conducted before and after to determine the level, and eye tracking were used to analyze the strategies of students in solving nets problems. As a result, it was confirmed that the using Geofix group was the most effective for the spatial sense, and Cabri 3D could also be a good tool for learning the nets of solids. In addition, after learning the nets of solids, the analytical strategy, which was the most effective strategy for students' solving strategies, increased. In the process of solving spatial tasks such as the spatial sense tasks, eye tracking technology become a very useful tool for exploring students' strategies, so it is expected that objective and useful data will be collected through more active use in the future.

  • Because of the rapid change in the educational paradigm in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education is becoming increasingly important today. The 2022 Revised Curriculum focuses on AI Education that can cultivate the fundamental skills and competencies needed in the future society. The following are the directions presented in this study for improving computational thinking and mathematical thinking in AI Education in elementary and secondary schools. First, studying teaching principles that allow students to understand AI concepts and principles and develop their ability to solve real-life problems is necessary in terms of computational thinking skills education. Second, an educational program is required for students to acquire algorithms using formulas and learn principles in the process of computers thinking like humans as part of their mathematical thinking ability to understand AI. A study on expectations through the analysis of competent learning effects that may arise from the relationship between instructors and learners was proposed as a future research project.

  • A software size estimation has to be analyzed in the beginning of the software life-cycle and helpful to the prediction of its size and cost. The software cost has been calculated by estimating software size from the user's point of view since the function point method based on international standards was introduced for the estimation of software size in 2004. However, the current function point method is not easy to be exploited for unfamiliar user, and has a problem that it cannot estimate the proper size for software such as engineering software, scientific calculations and simulation with complicated internal computational logic. This paper presents an improved model which can simplify the existing function point measurement procedure, and perform the estimation of software size in easy and fast way at the initial stage of project. Moreover, it presents a mathematical weighted value calculation model which can solve the problem of the fixed complexity weighted value and reflect the characteristics of organization as its data is pilled up. Our evaluation shows that the presented model has advantage that it can measure the size more rapidly than the existing FPA methods and has more correlation with LOC.

  • Agile software development methodology is a lightweight software development method, plays an important role in the software development team. In this paper, we propose programs that in when agile development co-operation, team management, team collaboration and project management tasks can be high efficiency and allocation of human resources. The proposed model, the use of 6-Sigma priority assignment, established a mathematical model of the operation and distribution of human resources is the most reasonable people go to work. Cooperation makes team-based agile development can improve efficiency. This method improve staff efficiency by teamwork to improve the productivity of software development.

  • Wireless sensor networks are generally deployed for specific applications to accomplish certain objectives over a period of time. To fulfill these objectives, it is crucial that the sensor network continues to function for a long time, even if some of its nodes become faulty. Energy efficiency and fault tolerance are undoubtedly the most crucial requirements for the design of an information extraction protocol for any sensor network application. However, most existing software agent based information extraction protocols are incapable of satisfying these requirements because of static agent itineraries and large agent sizes. This paper proposes an Information Extraction protocol based on Multiple software Agents with Dynamic Itineraries (IEMADI), where multiple software agents are dispatched in parallel to perform tasks based on the query assigned to them. IEMADI decides the itinerary for an agent dynamically at each hop using local information. Through mathematical analysis and simulation, we compare the performance of IEMADI with a well known static itinerary based protocol with respect to energy consumption and response time. The results show that IEMADI provides better performance than the static itinerary based protocols.

  • In this study, the theory of fluid mechanics and dynamics is used to build a mathematical model for a three-stage flow control valve. The significance of the study is that the mathematical model can easily be used to study the effect of different design parameters on the performance of the valve. The geometry of the valve and the properties of the fluid were used in this study to determine the variation in the performance of the valve when varying the magnetic force on the pilot spool. While a linearization technique is not used to solve the developed model, the solution of the mathematical model is found in the time domain by simulation of the equations using a software package. The results indicate that if the developed mathematical model is solved for the different values of magnetic force, the valve behaves linearly; the valve is thus called the proportional flow control valve.

  • The characteristic features of Malaysia's climate is has stable temperature, with high humidity and copious rainfall. Weather forecasting is an important task in Malaysia as it could affetcs man irrespective of mans job, lifestyle and activities especially in the agriculture. In Malaysia, numerical method is the common used method to forecast weather which involves a complex of mathematical computing. The models used in forecasting are supplied by other counties such as Europe and Japan. The goal of this project is to forecast weather using another technology known as artificial neural network. This system is capable to learn the pattern of rainfall in order to produce a precise forecasting result. The supervised learning technique is used in the loaming process.

  • Recently, studying on modeling the emotion of a robot has become issued among fields of a humanoid robot and an interaction of human and robot. Especially, modeling of the motivation, the emotion, the behavior, and so on, in the robot, is hard and need to make efforts to use our originality. In this paper, new modeling using mathematical formulations to represent the emotion and the behavior selection is proposed for the software robot with virtual sensor modules. Various Points which affect six emotional states such as happy or sad are formulated as simple exponential equations with various parameters. There are several experiments with seven external sensor inputs from virtual environment and human to evaluate this modeling.
