In this paper we consider the equality sign as a mathematical concept and investigate its meaning, errors made by students, and subject matter knowledge of mathematics teacher in view of The Model of Mathematic al Concept Analysis, arithmetic-algebraic thinking, and some examples. The equality sign = is a symbol most frequently used in school mathematics. But its meanings vary accor ding to situations where it is used, say, objects placed on both sides, and involve not only ordinary meanings but also mathematical ideas. The Model of Mathematical Concept Analysis in school mathematics consists of Ordinary meaning, Mathematical idea, Representation, and their relationships. To understand a mathematical concept means to understand its ordinary meanings, mathematical ideas immanent in it, its various representations, and their relationships. Like other concepts in school mathematics, the equality sign should be also understood and analysed in vie w of a mathematical concept.

본 연구에서는 삼각함수의 모델링을 통한 그래픽 과정의 효과를 알아보기 위한 실험연구로 실험과정의 분석을 질적연구 방법으로 처리했다. 이를 위해 수학적 모델링의 절차를 세분하여 기존의 모델에 두 단계, 즉, 질문의 생성과 아이디어 교환을 강조하는 놀이실험단계와 컴퓨터 그래픽 과정의 단계를 추가했다. 실험은 고등학교 2학년을 대상으로 실험반(TMG) 26명이 참여했고, 데이터의 질적분석을 위해 활동지, 면담 및 실험과정의 관찰자료를 분석하였다. 국내외 대부분의 연구가 통계적 방법을 이용한 양적 분석 방법이기 때문에 교사들에게는 모델링 수업에 큰 도움을 주지 못한다. 연구결과로 (1) 기존의 수학적 모델링의 절차에 두 개의 단계를 추가하여 보다 세분화한 모델링의 과정은 질문생성, 아이디어교환, 동료들과 소통 등에서 긍정적인 결과를 볼 수 있었다. (2) 실험학교의 수학과 수업에 컴퓨터 그래픽을 포함한 테크놀로지의 도입은 양과 수(Quantity) 교육에 매우 적절함을 보여주었다.

The concept of a fuzzy set, which was introduced in [9], provides a natural framework for generalizing many of the concepts of general topology to what might be called fuzzy topological spaces. The idea of fuzzy topological spaces was introduced by Chang [2]. The idea is more or less a generalization of oridinary topological spaces.

Both history of mathematics and education of mathematics is old subject. The question arises wether can these two important subjects can help each other or not. Unfortunately this idea made mathematics society into two groups; one has idea that history of mathematics can help education of mathematics and other group has idea that not only history of mathematics can not help education of mathematics but also it makes some confusion. In this article the author is going to do some comparison and take some conclusion that history of mathematics can make education of mathematics so active and interesting.

We develop a mathematical model for the obesity dynamics to investigate the long term obesity trend with the consideration of psychological and social factors due to the increasing prevalence of obesity around the world. Many mathematical models for obesity dynamics adopted the modeling idea of infectious disease and treated overweight and obese people infectious and spreading obesity to normal weight. However, this modeling idea is not proper in obesity modeling because obesity is not an infectious disease. In fact, weight gain and loss are related to social interactions among different weight groups not only in the direction from overweight/obese to normal weight but also the other way around. Thus, we consider these aspects in our model and implement personal weight gain feature, a psychological factor such as body image dissatisfaction, and social interactions such as positive support on weight loss and negative criticism on weight status from various weight groups. We show that the equilibrium point with no normal weight population will be unstable and that an equilibrium point with positive normal weight population should have all other components positive. We conduct computer simulations on Korean demography data with our model and demonstrate the long term obesity trend of Korean male as an example of the use of our model.

본 연구는 초등수학영재들이 수학적 소재의 기존 게임을 변형하여 새로운 게임을 만들어가는 동안 모둠내 토론 과정에서 드러나는 수학적 정교화 과정을 분석하고 이를 모델화한 것이다. 이를 위해 한 개의 지역공동영재학급에서 5주간의 수업을 진행하였으며, 특히 게임의 변형의 아이디어를 모둠별로 모아가는 수학적 정교화 과정을 모델로 구안하고자 하였다. 정교화 과정에서 수학적 경로와 수학외 경로가 상호작용을 하는 이중 경로의 모습을 띄었으며, 수학적(논리적) 근거에 따라 3가지의 수학적 경로(호의, 비호의, 중립)와 4 가지의 수학외 경로(비일관성, 사회적 증거, 호감, 권위)으로 분석할 수 있었다. 이 과정에서 수시로 통찰이 일어났으며, 이 과정을 거쳐 수학적 규칙이 모둠에서 수렴되는 정교화의 모습을 볼 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 초등수학영재들이 모둠별로 게임을 변형하는 과정에서 보이는 수학적 정교화 과정을 분석하고 수학적 정교화 모델을 제안하였다.

New fixed Point results for the (equation omitted) selfmaps ale given. The analysis relies on a factorization idea. The notion of an essential map is also introduced for a wide class of maps. Finally, from a new fixed point theorem of ours, we deduce some equilibrium theorems.

We adopt the idea of $C{\breve{a}}dariu$ and Radu to prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of generalized Jordan triple derivation in Banach algebra. In addition, we take account of problems for generalized Jordan triple linear derivation in Banach algebra.
