화장품원료 온라인 데이터베이스 구축과 활용 (The practical use with online database program of cosmetics' raw materials.)

  • 현재 화장품 연구업무 및 수출입업무 종사자들이 많이 사용하고 있는 ICID 및 장원기 등의 화장품 원료규격집과 각종 원료메이커들이 제공하는 원료의 기술자료, MSDS 등의 기술문서를 연관 데이터베이스로 처리하여 인터넷 서버&클라이언트의 구조를 통해 사용자들에게 제공되어질 수 있는 온라인형 데이터베이스 프로그램을 개발하였고, 이를 완성한 도구로서 서버로는 Linux Machine을 사용하였고, 데이터베이스서버로는 MySQL Server를, CGI Tool로는 PHP를 사용하였다. 또한 데이터베이스 구조상 차후 확장성을 대비하여 데이터베이스를 연관구조로 작성하였으며, 이는 데이터의 중복성을 피하여 화장품 원료정보의 검색 효율을 높일 수 있었고, 차후 다른 화장품관련데이터베이스와의 상호 연계의 인터페이스를 마련할 수 있었다. 데이터베이스의 특성상 한번 구축되면 원하는 형태로의 자료변환 및 재구성이 용이하여, 아직까지 화장품 원료 데이터베이스가 구축되어 있지 못한 국내현실을 볼 때 본 프로그램이 화장품업계의 소중한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

가온반의 하루일과를 통해 본 교재·교구의 의미 (Meaning of instructional materials based on the daily work of class Kaon)

  • 본 연구는 어린이집 영아반의 하루일과를 관찰함으로써 교재 교구가 어떤 의미를 지니는 지를 이해하고 이를 바탕으로 유아교육 및 보육 교재교구 인증평가에 시사점을 주고자 하는 질적 연구이다. 교재 교구가 영아들에게 어떠한 의미를 지니는지 구체적으로 알기 위하여 문화기술지 방법을 택하였다. 특히 자유선택활동에서의 영역별 교재교구를 활용한 활동 뿐 아니라, 식사 시간, 낮잠시간, 및 바깥놀이까지 포함하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 위해 연구자는 어린이집을 방문하여 참여관찰과 교사면담, 현장노트 등을 통하여 자료를 수집하였으며 영아의 특성상 언어적 표현 뿐 아니라 비언어적 표현에 대한 관찰이 필요할 경우 이를 보다 더 심층적으로 이해하기 위해 캠코더 촬영도 이루어졌다. 이를 통해 얻은 연구자의 관찰기록노트, 교사 면담자료, 표준보육과정 지침서, 어린이집 연간 및 주간보육계획안, 보육과정 평가서 등의 각종 문헌을 통해 얻은 자료를 분류하고 유목화하는 귀납적 분석 방법으로 자료 분석을 하였다. 그 결과 영아들에게 교재교구는 첫째, '맞이하고 놀아주는 내 친구', 둘째, '포근한 나의 보금자리' 셋째, ' 또 한분의 선생님' 으로서의 의미를 갖는다. 이를 토대로 보육시설의 영아용 교재 교구의 비치 기준안을 재정립할 것과 추후 교재 교구 인증평가 시, 영아들이 사용하는 교재 교구의 대상을 비품형 교재 교구까지 폭넓게 고려해야 함을 제안하는 바이다.

감성주거공간디자인을 위한 신소재의 은유적 표현 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Metaphorical Expression Characteristics of New Materials for Emotional Housing Space Design)

  • This study analyzed metaphorical characteristics of composite materials in terms of a visual aspect on a new material that is applicable for housing space. The results are as follows. First, the recent trend of housing space tends to stimulate emotions of residents through visual finishing materials, and for this reason, visual expression of a new material that is applicable to finishing materials plays an important role. Second, convertibleness, association and duplicity were selected as items of metaphorical expressions through the precedent studies. Third, most of combinations of materials were shown different from the existing materials in an expressive characteristic of composite materials through analysis, and application of a technology showed a different visual effect of patterns and textures from the existing materials. This implies that visual expression and directing are being attempted using such technology on finishing materials of housing space with development of digital technologies. Fourth, for metaphorical characteristics of composite material for housing space, combination of various materials and a digital technology were applied on convertibleness. For association, a combination of materials that have each different characteristic associated with the third material, and combination with subsidiary material of optical fiber and a digital technology were appled for duplicity. Data obtained from the results of this study has high efficiency in planning finishing materials for emotional housing space in future, and it will be basic data for a study on development of new finishing materials.

Adaptive B-spline volume representation of measured BRDF data for photorealistic rendering

  • Measured bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) data have been used to represent complex interaction between lights and surface materials for photorealistic rendering. However, their massive size makes it hard to adopt them in practical rendering applications. In this paper, we propose an adaptive method for B-spline volume representation of measured BRDF data. It basically performs approximate B-spline volume lofting, which decomposes the problem into three sub-problems of multiple B-spline curve fitting along u-, v-, and w-parametric directions. Especially, it makes the efficient use of knots in the multiple B-spline curve fitting and thereby accomplishes adaptive knot placement along each parametric direction of a resulting B-spline volume. The proposed method is quite useful to realize efficient data reduction while smoothing out the noises and keeping the overall features of BRDF data well. By applying the B-spline volume models of real materials for rendering, we show that the B-spline volume models are effective in preserving the features of material appearance and are suitable for representing BRDF data.

문화콘텐츠개발을 위한 한국 전통신발의 2D데이터베이스 구축(1) (Construction of Two-Dimensional Database of Korean Traditional Shoes for the Development of Cultural Contents(1))

  • Research materials of Korean traditional shoes have so far been mainly literary explanations or plane pictures expressed on the basis of the explanations and photographs of incomplete forms of relics excavated and it makes us have difficulty in observing them visually and producing products with them by design application. This project is to establish database of literal data of Korean traditional shoes and visual data using 3D in order to make the foundation of developing culture industry contents using Korean traditional shoes. According to the initial research plan. first. it analyzed and arranged the Korean traditional shoes into period. sex and function as the research goals of the first year. categorized the form. composition. materials. patterns. and colors of traditional shoes and then database of the materials was performed with text. Second. visual image materials including forms. composition. materials. patterns. and colors of traditional shoes were established as database with scanner. digital camera and computer 2D. Results of such a database will be able to be used as important materials which can be the foundation of culture industry contents development of traditional shoes and be the materials for developing digital culture contents of traditional shoes and teaching Korean traditional culture.

Efficient removal of 17β-estradiol using hybrid clay materials: Batch and column studies

  • Hybrid materials were obtained modifying the bentonite (BC) and local clay (LC) using hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDTMA) or the clay were pillared with aluminum followed by modification with HDTMA. The materials were characterized by the SEM, FT-IR and XRD analytical tools. The batch reactor data implied that the uptake of $17{\beta}$-estradiol (E2) by the hybrid materials showed very high uptake at the neutral pH region. However, at higher and lower pH conditions, slightly less uptake of E2 was occurred. The uptake of E2 was insignificantly affected changing the sorptive concentration from 1.0 to 10.0 mg/L and the background electrolyte (NaCl) concentrations from 0.0001 to 0.1 mol/L. Moreover, the sorption of E2 by these hybrid materials was fairly efficient since within 30 mins of contact time, an apparent equilibrium between solid and solution was achieved, and the data was best fitted to the PSO (pseudo-second order) and FL-PSO (Fractal-like-pseudo second order) kinetic models compared to the PFO (pseudo-first order) model. The fixed-bed column results showed that relatively high breakthrough volume was obtained for the attenuation of E2 using these hybrid materials, and the loading capacity of E2 was estimated to be 75.984, 63.757, 58.965 and 49.746 mg/g for the solids BCH, BCAH, LCH and LCAH, respectively.

지속가능한 건축디자인을 위한 기초방안에 관한 고찰 - 미국 미네소타 주 친환경사례의 실내 건축자재를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Basic Solution for Sustainable Buildings - Focused on the Interior Materials of Eco-Buildings in Minnesota, USA)

  • This study is focused on interior materials and wastes among other diverse environmental strategies for sustainable construction. The case study was carried out by using MSDG, mainly utilized in evaluating performance of sustainable constructions in Minnesota, the US, as an evaluation tool, in order to analyze American practices. In this study, a field inspection was conducted to 6 Minnesota cases, following a preliminary examination through literature study and portal site search, and then, constructive reports, interviews with people in charge, and empirical data including photos were added to the basic data provided by MSDG and MOEA As a result, it turned out *that sustainable materials were mainly used even in newly constructed buildings and wastes were properly managed in an environment-friendly, economical, and ethical manner, *that life cycle assessment showed reduction in some constructive costs even when the basic costs were high, *that some recycled finish materials were widely used in diverse areas, *that minimum consumption of raw materials, minimum environmental damage by materials, minimum effect of materials on IAQ were found in the examined cases, and *that many attempts were made to minimize resource consumption and constructive wastes from diverse perspectives.

건축물 외장재 열화현상에 영향을 미치는 자외선 발생량 추정 및 기후 맵 작성 (Assumption and Climate-Map Drawing of Ultra Violet Rays Influencing to the Deterioration of Building Exterior Materials)

  • Recently, building requirements have been saturated and residents are demanding a variety of building exterior materials faced with roofs, walls, windows and doors. On the other hand, when building exterior materials are exposed with ultra violet rays during some periods, these will be influenced deterioration effects like discolorations, exfoliations and cracks and will be needed exchange of materials. In this study, main 17-provinces of Korea were collated climate data and counted the computation results with an assumption formula for calculating ultra violet rays amounts. Lastly, ultra violet rays map of Korea was made by the counted data and was considered tendencies. Accordingly, in the phase of design the designer can select the appropriate exterior materials which have durabilities and resistances of ultra violet rays. So hereafter this study can be a foundation study to sustain building exterior materials with ultra violet rays damages. Below is the summary of Korean ultra violet rays tendency. 1. Ultra violet rays during 1 year is from about $180MJ/m^2$ to about $210MJ/m^2$. 2. Southern province ultra violet rays is higher than northern province. 3. Annually counted rays is higher and higher.

The Analysis of the Purchasing Process and Distribution Management Requirements of Teaching Materials in Preschool

  • Purpose: This study is to analyze the purchasing process and distribution management requirements for teaching materials that have important meaning in the practical field of preschool education. Research design, data and methodology: A structured questionnaire was used to survey 103 childcare staffs regarding the purchasing process and distribution managements. The collected data underwent Likert's 5-point scale analysis and keyword grouping. Additionally, ANOVA was conducted to examine the distribution management demands based on demographic characteristics. Results: The purchasing of teaching materials involved more offline channels than online, and the purchase decisions were predominantly made by principals rather than teachers. Although the purchasing process is similar to that of general businesses, there are difficulties in purchasing due to the disorganized distribution channels and limited accessibility to product information. Additionally, the management of inventory for teaching materials is challenging due to limited personnel and storage. Childcare staffs have requirements for classification systems, evaluation criteria, environments and policies related to teaching materials distribution. The need to introduce a teaching material evaluation and certification system to ensure quality was not high. Conclusions: Most of the respondents recognized that strict management and measures should be taken for the distribution of teaching materials. There were differences in the demand of teaching material distribution depending on the respondents' status, age, education, and experience.

대구경북 치과위생사들의 치과재료에 대한 유해정보 소통 실태 (Hazard Communication of Dental Materials for Dental Hygienists in Daegu or Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Area)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the status of hazard communication regarding dental materials among dental hygienists in the Daegu Metropolitan City and the North Gyeongsang-do Province area. Materials: A total of 310 dental hygienists were surveyed using self-administered questionnaires to investigate the status of hazard communication on dental materials and information needs. We collected instructions for use and material safety data sheets(MSDSs) for 67 dental materials frequently used at dental hospitals located in the Daegu Metropolitan City and the North Gyeongsang-do Province area. Results: The questionnaire surveys showed that only 11% of the 310 dental hygienists had knowledge of MSDS and 46.8% of respondents never read instructions for use before using materials. Just 7.4% of dental hygienists have undergone training on hazard information for dental materials. In particular, dental hygienists working at dental clinics had significantly lower response rates on knowledge of MSDS(p<0.001), reading of instructions for use(p=0.042) and training on the hazard information of dental materials(p=0.004) than those in dental hospitals or general hospitals. The essential information most desired by dental hygienists was hazard identification(82.3%) followed by first-aid measures(53.9%), handling and storage(51%), disposal considerations (49%) and toxicological information(47.1%). All dental materials were on foreign products which came from Japan(59.7%), the USA(26.9%) and Liechtenstein(13.7%). In terms of usage, 56.7% of dental materials were prosthetic, followed by conservation(31.3%), orthodontics(9%), and prevention(3%). We found that dental hygienists had accessed MSDSs for only five dental products among the 67 dental materials. The instructions for the use of the 67 dental materials provided hazard identification(64.2%), first-aid measures(83.6%), handling and storage(97%), disposal considerations(20.9%) and toxicological information(26.9%). Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, the hazard communication system for dental hygienists working at dental clinics should be improved.
