슬라브 영상에 포함된 문자영상의 인식을 위한 비전시스템의 개발 (Development of vision system for the recognition of character image which was included at the slab image)

  • 철강공정에서 소재에 대한 관리를 위해 소재의 전면에 소재 관리문자를 마킹한다. 본 논문은 철강 연주공정에서 생산되는 슬라브 소재 영상에 포함된 소재 관리문자를 실시간으로 인식하기 위한 비전시스템 개발 결과에 대해 기술한다. 문자인식용 비전시스템은 영상획득을 위한 카메라 시스템, 영상을 장거리로 고속 전송하기위한 광 전송시스템, 기존 제어시스템과의 인터페이스를 위한 입 출력 시스템 및 인식결과를 모니터링 하기위한 모니터링 시스템으로 구성된다. 개발된 문자인식용 비전시스템을 실제 철강 연주공정에 설치하여 운용테스트를 실시했다. 테스트를 통해 시스템의 내구성과 신뢰성을 검증하고 최종적으로 문자 인식률을 검증했다. 개발된 시스템에 대해 문자인식 테스트 결과 약 97.4%의 인식률을 가졌다.

치과 교정 물질에 따른 자기공명영상의 왜곡 (Distortion of Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Different Types of Orthodontic Material)

  • 자기공명영상검사에서 치과 교정용 금속 물질에 의한 인공물(Artifact)의 영향을 평가하기 위해 치과 교정에 사용되는 와이어(Wire)와 브라켓(Bracket)을 재질별로 선택하여 비교 연구하였다. 치과 금속을 넣은 사각 아크릴 용기는 $200{\times}135{\times}120mm$ 크기이며, 영상을 얻기 위하여 두부 코일을 사용하여 $T_2$강조영상, $T_1$강조영상, FLAIR영상을 획득하였다. 획득된 시퀀스별 자기공명영상의 인공물을 평가하기 위하여 Image J 프로그램을 사용하여 인공물의 면적을 측정 비교하였다. 연구에서 치과 교정용 와이어와 브라켓의 인공물이 가장 큰 물질은 Stainless steel로 나타났다. 현재까지는 치과 교정에서 교정을 목적에 두고 금속 물질을 선택하였으나 치과 교정용 금속은 환자의 기능과 미의 특성뿐 아니라 자기공명영상 인공물 생성 여부도 함께 고려해야 한다. 추후 교정용 금속의 선택 및 개발 발전은 치아교정의 목적과 더불어 다른 분야도 고려해야 할 것으로 사료된다.

선행연구에 나타난 도시한옥의 매력 요소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Attractive Items of Hanok in Urban Area focused on Preceding Studies)

  • The purpose of this paper is to derive attractive items of 'Hanok' in order to preserve 'Hanok' in urban area, focused on the 13 preceding studies which have got in respect of image, satisfaction, preference, awareness and advantage of 'Hanok' in urban area revolved around the latest studies. This study is analysis of questionnaire items and results of 13 preceding studies. And attractive items are classified with general and overall survey items, advantage of 'Hanok' in urban area, and image of Hanok-density urban area. These can also be classified with 5 items which are space, health, material, form, and image of 'Hanok' in urban area. As a result, Space items are composed with 'use of a space', 'cosiness', 'garden' and 'floor and ondol(korean floor heating system). Health items are composed with 'lighting and ventialtion', 'a sense of the season' and 'natural material'. Material items are composed with 'natural beauty', 'wooden', 'changhoji(traditional Korean paper made from mulberry bark for doors and windows) and hanji(traditional Korean paper handmade from mulberry trees), 'rafter' and 'new materials'. Form items are composed with 'attractive appearance', 'simply decoration' and 'traditional elements'. Image items are composed with 'crowding', 'traditionality and historicity', 'dichroism' and 'warmth'.

현대 패션에 표현된 젠더(Gender)에 관한 연구 (A Study on Gender Expressed in Contemporary Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is on the meaning and variety about gender expressed in modern fashion. The results are as follows ; First, the typical masculine gender was authority, discretion as a result of heteropatriarchy focused on the western reason. It was conservative and the symbolic image type of the meaning excluded masculine sexual expression. Dress and its ornament was expressed as the style of straight silhouette, dark color, rough and stiff material. Second, the typical feminine gender was the symbolic image type of a mother and a wife defined relatively by man as a result of western heteropatriarchy and the image type which men regarded women as sexual objects. Dress and its ornament was expressed as the style of silhouette which let bodily curve out, light color, soft material. The most typical item is dress and suit. Third, androgyny has been described as the feminie gender of androgynous, which shows masculine image as the effect of feminism and social success of professional women. Dress and its ornament is expressed as the style of business suit, the symple of typical man's one. The masculine gender of androgynous is showed man's suit as silhouette that let bodily curve out, light color, exposure and soft material, which is the symbol of feminine dress, Fourth, unisex is the area of dress and its ornament used the sexless symbol which there has been no gender more because of the spread of sports and diffusion of leisure in life style.

자기애자의 유지 관리를 위한 CNN 기법을 이용한 이미지 분석 (Image Analysis by CNN Technique for Maintenance of Porcelain Insulator)

  • This study examines the feasibility of the image deep learning method using convolution neural networks (CNNs) to maintain a porcelain insulator. Data augmentation is performed to prevent over-fitting, and the classification performance is evaluated by training the age, material, region, and pollution level of the insulator using image data in which the background and labelling are removed. Based on the results, it was difficult to predict the age, but it was possible to classify 76% of the materials, 60% of the pollution level, and more than 90% of the regions. From the results of this study, we identified the potential and limitations of the CNN classification for the four groups currently classified. However, it was possible to detect discoloration of the porcelain insulator resulting from physical, chemical, and climatic factors. Based on this, it will be possible to estimate the corrosion of the cap and discoloration of the porcelain caused by environmental deterioration, abnormal voltage, and lightning.

반용융 성형 제품의 미세조직 영상분석을 위한 프로그램 개발 (Development of Image Analysis Program for Microstructure in Semi-solid Forming Product)

  • Many products related to automobile and airplane have been manufactured by semi-solid process. There are many parameters in semi-solid process such as punch velocity, die temperature, and solid fraction of material. Among these parameters, solid fraction of material is one of the most important factors to determine quality of product. To obtain solid fraction of a certain semi-solid product is very necessary and useful for inspecting and analyzing the product. In this paper, image analysis program for microstructure by semi-solid forming process has been developed with the simple apparatus such as a personal computer and scanner, instead of expensive image analyzer.

코팅 조건에 따른 BST 박막의 표면 이미지 특성 (The Surface Image Properties of BST Thin Film by Depositing Conditions)

  • The optical memory devices of BST thin films to composite $(Ba_{0.7}\;Sr_{0.3})TiO_{3}$ using sol-gel method were fabricated by changing of the depositing layer number on $Pt/Ti/SiO_{2}/Si$ substrate. The structural properties of optical memory devices to be ferroelectric was investigated by fractal analysis and 3-dimension image processing. The thickness of BST thin films at each coating numbers 3, 4 and 5 times was $2500[\AA]$, $3500[\AA]$ and $3800[\AA]$. BST thin films exhibited the most pronounced grain growth. The surface morphology image was roughness with coating numbers. The thin films increasing with coating numbers shows a more textured and complex configuration.

  • Pattern classification of single and multiple discharge sources was applied using a wavelet image signal method in which a feature extraction was applied using a hidden sub-image. A feature extracting method that used vertical and horizontal images using an MSD method was applied to an averaging process for the scale of pulses for the phase. A feature extracting process for the preprocessing of the input of a neural network was performed using an inverse transformation of the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal sub-images. A back propagation algorithm in a neural network was used to classify defective signals. An algorithm for wavelet image processing was developed. In addition, the defective signal was classified using the extracted value that was quantified for the input of a neural network.

  • In this paper, image storage and display of scattering mode using 7/65/35 PLZT ceramics was studied. Scattering in a ferroelectric poly-crystal depends on its grain size and domain orientations. 7/65/35 PLZT ceramics is ferroelectric and transparent. Image can be stored in the ceramic substrate by poling it selectively through a pair of electrodes with the pattern or a set of a photoconductivity film and two transparent electrodes.

  • In applying LCD to TV application, one of the most significant factors to be improved is image sticking on the moving picture. LCD is different from CRT in the sense that it's continuous passive device, whichholds images in entire frame period, while impulsetype device generate image in very short time. We realized articulate image generation similar to CRT by CCFL blinking drive and TN-LCD overdriving. As a result, reduced image sticking phenomenon was validated by naked eye and response time measureme.
