An extended form of lexical network is explored by presenting U-WIN, which applies lexical relations that include not only semantic relations but also conceptual relations, morphological relations and syntactic relations, in a way different with existing lexical networks that have been centered around linking structures with semantic relations. So, This study introduces the new methodology for constructing a syntactic relation automatically. First of all, we extract probable nouns which related to verb based on verb's sentence type. However we should decided the extracted noun's meaning because extracted noun has many meanings. So in this study, we propose that noun's meaning is decided by the example matching rule/syntactic pattern/semantic similarity, frequency information. In addition, syntactic pattern is expanded using nouns which have high frequency in corpora.
For efficient predictive analysis, self-healing research is needed that enables the system to recover autonomously by self-cognition and diagnosing system problems. However, software development does not provide formal contextual information analysis and appropriate presentation structure according to external situation. In this paper, we propose a prediction analysis method based on the change contents by applying the extraction rule to the functions that can act, data, and transaction based on the new Goal-scenario. We also evaluated how well the predictive analysis met through the performance indicators for achieving the requirements goal. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed method has a maximum 32.8% higher matching result through performance measurement, resulting in a 28.9% error rate and a 45.8% reduction in the change code. This shows that it can be processed into a serviceable form through rules, and it shows that performance can be expanded through predictive analysis of changes.
This paper deals with how to design and develop white-box based e-learning contents which are equipped with conceptual understanding and step-by-step computational procedures for studying vector calculus for science-engineering majors who might need supplementary mathematics learning. Noting that rewriting rules are often used in school mathematics for students' problem solving, the theoretical aspects of rewriting rules are reviewed for developing supplementary e-learning contents for them. The software design of step-by-step problem solving requires careful arrangement of rewriting rules and pattern matching techniques for white-box procedures using a computer algebra system such as Mathematica. Several modules for step-by-step problem solving as well as producing dynamic display of e-learning contents was coded by Mathematica in order to find the length of a curve in vector calculus after implementing several rules for differentiation and integration. The developed contents are equipped with diagnostic modules and immediate feedback for supplementary learning in terms of a tutorial. At the end, this paper indicates the strengths and features of the developed contents for college students who need to increase math learning capabilities, and suggests future research directions.

NGE(Nested Generalized Exemplar Method) can increase the performance of the noisy data at the same time, can reduce the size of the model. It is the optimal distance-based classification method using a matching rule. NGE cross or overlap hyperrectangles generated in the learning has been noted to inhibit the factors. In this paper, We propose the DHGen(Dominant Hyperrectangle Generation) algorithm which avoids the overlapping and the crossing between hyperrectangles, uses interval weights for mixed hyperrectangles to be splited based on the mutual information. The DHGen improves the classification performance and reduces the number of hyperrectangles by processing the training set in an incremental manner. The proposed DHGen has been successfully shown to exhibit comparable classification performance to k-NN and better result than EACH system which implements the NGE theory using benchmark data sets from UCI Machine Learning Repository.
Park et al. (2012) examined the impacts of coeducation in high school on the college scholastic ability test using random assignment in Seoul high schools. However, the student random assignment in Seoul within a school district was performed only within 30 min commutable areas using public transportation and Park et al. (2012) did not aware of this rule. This paper reexamines the question by matching nearest two single sex schools with a coeducation school within a school district. We found single sex school students achieve higher test score than that of coeducation school for both male and female. The magnitude of test score improvement for female is smaller than that of Park et al. (2012). However, the magnitude for male is bigger than that of Park et al. (2012).

Advertisements on the Web, rising as a major profit source of Web services, have a distinctive characteristic of detailed classification of potential customers, compared with those of other conventional media such as TV and newspaper. It is therefore possible to advertise selectively according to personal characteristics and to record precise advertisement effects. Web-based advertisement management systems of nowadays have the capability to select ones compatible with personal environment characteristics and registered information, and to provide processed information and knowledge about advertisement effects based on usage recordings. However, they have severe problems in modeling diverse requirements or characteristics of users : customers, advertisers and ISP, and in matching and coordinating of them. In order to solve these problems, we propose a frame work for coordinating the needs of users, advertisers, and ISPs, which is built on top of tree-style classification of advertisements. Other schemes are supported around the framework as follows : (1) characteristics management of pages within themselves, (2) rule-based modeling of advertisement target, and (3) user modeling and case-based analysis. We propose a prototype system within the framework.

In photovoltaic(PV) system, for obtaining maximum efficiency of solar power systems, the solar tracking system must be controlled to match position of the sun. In this paper, we design the solar tracking system to track movement of the sun using CdS sensor modules and to determine direction of the sun under shadow of directions. In addition, for an intelligent computation in tracking of the sun, a fuzzy controller is allocated to space avaliable for splitting area of fuzzy part for the fuzzy input space(grid-type fuzzy partition) in which a fuzzy grid partition divides fuzzy rules bases. As well, a simple model of solar tracking system is designed by two-axis motor control systems and the 8-direction sensor module that can measure shadow from CdS sensor modules by matching of axis of CdS modules and PV panels. We demonstrate this systems is effective for fixed location and moving vessels and our fuzzy controller can track the satisfactorily.

Changeable biometrics has been developed as a solution to problem of enhancing security and privacy. The idea is to transform a biometric signal or feature into a new one for the purposes of enrollment and matching. In this paper, we propose a changeable biometric system that can be applied to appearance based face recognition system. In the first step when using feature extraction, ICA(Independent Component Analysis) coefficient vectors extracted from an input face image are replaced randomly using their mean and variation. The transformed vectors by replacement are scrambled randomly and a new transformed face coefficient vector (transformed template) is generated by combination of the two transformed vectors. When this transformed template is compromised, it is replaced with new random numbers and a new scrambling rule. Because e transformed template is generated by e addition of two vectors, e original ICA coefficients could not be easily recovered from the transformed coefficients.

As one of the most challenging tasks in designing the Internet routers, packet classification is required to achieve the wire-speed processing for every incoming packet. Packet classification algorithm which applies binary search on trie levels to the area-based quad-trie is an efficient algorithm. However, it has a problem of unnecessary access to a hash table, even when there is no node in the corresponding level of the trie. In order to avoid the unnecessary off-chip memory access, we proposed an algorithm using Bloom filters along with the binary search on levels to multiple disjoint tries. For ACL, FW, IPC sets with about 1000, 5000, and 10000 rules, performance evaluation result shows that the search performance is improved by 21 to 33 percent by adding Bloom filters.
Finite element simulations of solid mechanics problems often involve the use of Non-Confirming Meshes (NCM) to increase accuracy in capturing nonlinear behavior, including damage and plasticity, in part of a solid domain without an undue increase in computational costs. In the presence of material nonlinearity and plasticity, higher-order variables are often needed to capture nonlinear behavior and material history on non-conforming interfaces. The most popular formulations for coupling non-conforming meshes are dual methods that involve the interpolation of a traction field on the interface. These methods are subject to the Ladyzhenskaya-Babuska-Brezzi (LBB) stability condition, and are therefore limited in their implementation with the higher-order elements needed to capture nonlinear material behavior. Alternatively, the enriched discontinuous Galerkin approach (EDGA) (Haikal and Hjelmstad 2010) is a primal method that provides higher order kinematic fields on the interface, and in which interface tractions are computed from local finite element estimates, therefore facilitating its implementation with nonlinear material models. The inclusion of higher-order interface variables, however, presents the issue of preserving material history at integration points when a increase in integration order is needed. In this study, the enriched discontinuous Galerkin approach (EDGA) is extended to the case of small-deformation plasticity. An interface-driven Gauss-Kronrod integration rule is proposed to enable adaptive enrichment on the interface while preserving history-dependent material data at existing integration points. The method is implemented using classical J2 plasticity theory as well as the pressure-dependent Drucker-Prager material model. We show that an efficient treatment of interface variables can improve algorithmic performance and provide a consistent approach for coupling non-conforming meshes in inelasticity.
