A Reader Anticollision Algorithm based on Hierarchical Structure using a Master Reader (관리 리더를 이용한 계층적 구조 기반의 리더 충돌 방지 알고리즘)

  • RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 시스템에서 다수의 리더가 동시에 동일한 태그의 인식을 시도하는 경우, 태그는 다수의 리더가 요청한 내용을 처리할 수 없기 때문에 리더 충돌이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 리더 간 간섭에 의한 충돌은 RFID 시스템의 태그 인식 효율 및 인식 속도의 저하 등에 대한 주요 요인으로 작용하기 때문에 이를 방지할 수 있는 효과적인 리더 충돌 방지 알고리즘이 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 리더 충돌이 발생한 경우, 관리 리더(Master Reader)와 보조 리더 그룹(Assistant Reader Group)간의 계층적인 구조를 형성하고, 관리 리더를 통해 하위 리더 그룹을 관리하여 리더 충돌을 방지하는 리더 충돌 방지 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한, 모의실험을 통해 제안하는 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하고 평가하였다.

  • The problem of privacy is considered one of the main concerns to deploy RFID applications. In this paper, we propose methods to change a tag state and assign a master leader for the protection of privacy. By changing a tag state, we can limit the range for the information retrieval of the tag to all leaders or a specific leader (mater leader). Whenever the owner of a tag changes, with the master leader assignment method for the tag, we can make only the master leader get the information for the tag. With the proposed methods, it is expected that the privacy problems can be solved by preventing the private information of tags that persons have from being exposed by illegal leaders.

  • In RFID system, reader collision happened when multiple readers try to read the tags at the same time. Because reader collision reduces tag recognition performance, it is required for RFID system to have reader anti-collision algorithm. In this paper, we propose reader anti-collision algorithm based on hierarchical structure, where a master reader controls the slave readers to avoid the reader collisions. It is verified through simulations that the proposed algorithm enhances the performance in terms of leader collision probability and tag reading time.

  • This paper proposes a new paradigm for cooperation of multi-robot system for home service. For localization of each robot. the master robot collects information of location of each robot based on communication of RFID tag on the floor and RFID reader attached on the bottom of the robot. The Master robot communicates with slave robots via wireless LAN to check the motion of robots and command to them based on the information from slave robots. The operator may send command to slave robots based on the HRI(Human-Robot Interaction) screened on masted robot using information from slave robots. The cooperation of multiple robots will enhance the performance comparing with single robot.

Link Travel Time Estimation and Evaluation of Applicability to Traffic Information Collection Based RFID Probe Data (RFID 기반의 통행시간 추정 기법 개발 및 교통정보수집 적용가능성 평가)

  • This paper aims at testing the applicability of RFID (radio frequency identification) based link travel time estimation algorithm in urban street settings in Jeju island Korea. For this, we developed algorithm and compared link travel times derived from the RFID probe based algorithm with those from (already available) GPS based link travel time estimation algorithm and with the actual link travel times from survey. RFID readers are composed of master reader and slave reader and the participating passenger cars were supposed to be equipped with RFID tag inside the vehicle. The data were sent to traffic information center and we used those data in comparison. The algorithm produced link travel times in a successful manner and the accuracy of those link travel times was about 88%. For the same link segments, the accuracy of GPS based link travel times was 93%. The t-test showed that both RFID and GPS based link travel times were not different in accuracy from statistical point of view. The applicability of RFID was tested successfully and the algorithm proposed seemed to be used in similar urban settings. Some limits and future research agenda have also been presented.

  • The impotance of Radiological science is greater due to development of Science and technology in Medical and Engineering. people who research specific area thought interdisciplinary approach, convergence is essential to pioneer a new field, receive attention was that interdisciplinary approach was needed. so investigating graduate system of radiological science, advanced country, designed to fit their country, could propose reference. the results show, in the university of offered with Master Degree operated program for Clinical experts(Sonography Specialist, Radiation Theraphy Specialist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist)and offered with Ph.D Degree operated program for Scientist and physicist (Nuclear Scientist, Medical Physicist). Note that by this, advanced graduate school program will enable us to become a reader of academia, play a leading role in the world.

Types of Concept Figuration in Landscape Design based on Memory (기억에 기반한 조경설계의 개념 형상화 유형)

  • The designers pursue the thoughtful and wide thinking through the accumulation of knowledge and cultivation of insights for making use of high-level design philosophy and language. The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics of concept figuration types based on designer's 'memory' in landscape design. The results of this study are as follows. First, the design idea starts to be based on the language and image memory of the designer. The figuration types are composed of the verbal and visual view which are representative communication means. Second, the verbal concept figuration of landscape design consists of two types. The symbolic language of the title as a design theme can be a 'phrase', and it should have a hierarchial balance between the master and the sub. 'Descriptive shape of conceptual scenario' is a text that expresses the concept narratively in order that the reader virtually experiences designed landscapes. Third, visual concept figuration of landscape design is divided into three types. 'Simple visualization of a diagram' is easily embodied through a simple graphic using symbols, comments, images and key words. 'Concept sketch and shape of core idea' is useful to grasp the core of the idea such as physical element, form attribute of space and spatial relation at the initial phase of the concept. 'A collage and montage that create a new shape with a combination of images' are a collection of materials and images that provide a new perspective. These are tools to depict them in a compressed way after recording landscapes phenomenon.
