Historical archived traffic data management system enables a long term time-series analysis and provides data necessary to acquire the constantly changing traffic conditions and to evaluate and analyze various traffic related strategies and policies. Such features are provided by maintaining highly reliable traffic data through scientific and systematic management. Now, the management systems for massive traffic data have a several problems such as, the storing and management methods of a large volume of archive data. In this paper, we describe how to storing and management for the massive traffic data and, we propose methodology for logical and physical architecture, collecting and storing, database design and implementation, process design of massive traffic data.
The ITS(Intelligent Transport System) enables us to provide solutions on traffic problems, while maximizing safety and efficiency of road and transportation systems, by combining technologies from information and communication, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanics, control and instrumentation with transportation systems. The issues that an integration system for massive traffic data sources must face are due to several factors such as the variety and amount of data available, the representational heterogeneity of the data in the different sources, and the autonomy and differing capabilities of the sources. In this paper, we describe how to extract and load of the heterogeneous massive traffic data from the operational databases, such as FTMS and ARTIS using commercial tools. Also, we experiment on traffic data warehouses with integrated quality management techniques for providing high quality data.

Recently, a multi-user massive MIMO (MU-Massive MIMO) network has been attracting tremendous interest as one of technologies to accommodate explosively increasing mobile data traffic. The MU-Massive MIMO network can significantly enhance the network capacity because a base station (BS) equipped with large-scale transmit antennas can transmit high-rate data to multiple users simultaneously. In the MU-Massive MIMO network, transmit antenna selection schemes are generally used to decrease the computational complexity and cost of the BS. In this paper, we investigate the energy efficiency of the transmit antenna selection scheme in the MU-Massive MIMO network and the optimal number of selected transmit antennas for maximizing the energy efficiency.

This study aims to facilitate and increase the performance of the Traffic Analysis System which receives the location information of vessels sailing along the coast all over the country in real time and analyzes the vessels' sailing situation. Especially, the research has a signification that the system is designed with the application of Quad-Tree and R-Tree data structure in order for system users to search necessary information quickly and effectively, and it verifies the improvement of the performance by showing experiment results comparing the existing Traffic Analysis System to newly upgraded Traffic Analysis System.
As increasing the growth of the Internet in medical area, a new technology to transmit effectively massive medical data is required. In optical internet, all OBS nodes have fiber delay lines, hardware components. These components are calculated under some optimal traffic conditions, and this means that if the conditions change, then the components should be altered. Therefore, in this article a new service differentiation algorithm using the previously installed components is proposed, which is used although the conditions vary. When traffic conditions change, the algorithm dynamically recalculates the threshold value used to decide the length of data bursts. By doing so, irrelevant to changes, the algorithm can maintain the service differentiation between classes without replacing any fiber delay lines. With the algorithm, loss sensitive medical data can be transferred well.
It is predicted that the existing backbone network has encountered its limit due to massive growth in data traffic. Perhaps new WDM methods utilizing optical fibers are desirable. Also to assure reliance of the network detour routes fur collision recovery must be considered. But due to the redundancy occurred by allocating bandwidths to the detour route, the efficiency of the link my decline. In this paper, we designed a detour route to minimize the redundancy.

Recently, multi-user massive MIMO (MU-Massive MIMO) network has attracted a lot of attention as a technology to accommodate explosively increasing mobile data traffic. However, the MU-Massive MIMO network causes a tremendous hardware complexity in a base station and computational complexity to select optimal set of users. In this paper, we thus propose a simple algorithm for selecting antennas and users while reducing the hardware and computational complexities simultaneously. The proposed scheme has a computational complexity of $O((N-S_a+1){\times}min(S_a,K))$, which is significantly reduced compared to the complexity of optimal scheme based on Brute-Force searching, $$O\left({_N}C_S_a\sum_{i=1}^{min(S_a,K)}_KC_i\right)$$, where N, $S_a$, and K denote the number of total transmit antennas, the number of selected antennas, and the number of all users, respectively.

With the exhaustion of global IPv4 addresses, IPv6 technologies have attracted increasing attentions, and have been deployed widely. Meanwhile, new applications running over IPv6 networks will change the traditional traffic characteristics obtained from IPv4 networks. Traditional models obtained from IPv4 cannot be used for IPv6 network monitoring directly and there is a need to investigate those changes. In this paper, we explore the flow features of IPv6 traffic and compare its difference with that of IPv4 traffic from flow level. Firstly, we analyze the differences of the general flow statistical characteristics and users' behavior between IPv4 and IPv6 networks. We find that there are more elephant flows in IPv6, which is critical for traffic engineering. Secondly, we find that there exist many one-way flows both in the IPv4 and IPv6 traffic, which are important information sources for abnormal behavior detection. Finally, in light of the challenges of analyzing massive data of large-scale network monitoring, we propose a group flow model which can greatly reduce the number of flows while capturing the primary traffic features, and perform a comparative measurement analysis of group users' behavior dynamic characteristics. We find there are less sharp changes caused by abnormity compared with IPv4, which shows there are less large-scale malicious activities in IPv6 currently. All the evaluation experiments are carried out based on the traffic traces collected from the Northwest Regional Center of CERNET (China Education and Research Network), and the results reveal the detailed flow characteristics of IPv6, which are useful for traffic management and anomaly detection in IPv6.
In this paper we propose a new method of security visualization, VisFlow, using traffic flows to solve the problems of existing traffic flows based visualization techniques that were a loss of end-to-end semantics of communication, reflection problem by symmetrical address coordinates space, and intuitive loss problem in mass of traffic. VisFlow, a simple and effective security visualization interface, can do a real-time analysis and monitoring the situation in the managed network with visualizing a variety of network behavior not seen in the individual traffic data that can be shaped into patterns. This is a way to increase the intuitiveness and usability by identifying the role of nodes and by visualizing the highlighted or simplified information based on their importance in 2D/3D space. In addition, it monitor the network security situation as a way to increase the informational effectively using the asymmetrical connecting line based on IP addresses between pairs of nodes. Administrator can do a real-time analysis and monitoring the situation in the managed network using VisFlow, it makes to effectively investigate the massive traffic data and is easy to intuitively understand the entire network situation.
This study aims to provide guidelines for the selection of on-street parking spot on local streets considering conditions of surrounding area and characteristics of traffic generation. This guideline provides the method which determine required roadway width for planning and design of local streets. It is necessary to identify factors for the location selection analysis. This research team selects 12 case study areas to investigate traffic environment on the sites for this analysis. Most of factors which influence on-street parking are found to have a qualitative data format except traffic volume and pedestrian movement data. Quantification theory II which is known to be suitable for qualitative analysis has been applied to identify the meaningful variables for dependent variable. In addition, discriminant analysis has performed to verify the correlation for each variable with hit ratio. Road width, traffic volume, street traders and their heavy packages, and illegally parked vehicle are found to be most significant factors for selection of on-street parking location. Therefore, it is necessary to consider traffic volume generated from massive residential complex and traffic volume for outside and above-mentioned factors for installation of on-street parking facility in the case of new road construction or road width widen.
