  • "ImwonGyeongjeji" is recognized the value which is unparalleled encyclopedia in the world, but that is only evaluate about variously handled with subject area and massive content and also most scholarly research was focusing agriculture which is the domestic situation of published period and "ImwonGyeongjeji" judged as a simple agriculture book. Therefore, this research focus to theory and technique of traditional landscape architecture from science of landscape architecture perspective and it is from "ImwonGyeongjeji" which is known as encyclopedia written by Seo Yu-gu in 19th century Joseon period. For such a contents, "ImwonGyeongjeji" can find a importance that it have value and status for represent of Korea 'landscape architecture statement' which compared with other East Asia in those aspects; 'professional about landscape architecture', 'superiority of composition system', indigenousness suitable for Korea' and 'enhance to superiority value of environmental factor for writing'.

  • Client- server interaction in a massive multi-player online role-playing game(MMORPG) is usually made via network-message Passing. Since the game contents and elements in such MMORPGs are consistently evolved, messages need to be added, deleted, or modified accordingly. Therefore, game programmers are repeatedly required to write new programs or at least modify existing programs. The XML-based message definition system introduced in this paper facilitates the addition and modification of messages for game interaction ; it not only allows programmers to save a considerable amount of time for modifying existing messages or adding new messages but also relieves them of a serious burden of programming bugs. In addition, this system can be used for general client-server applications.

A Semantics-based Video Retrieval System using Annotation and Feature (주석 및 특징을 이용한 의미기반 비디오 검색 시스템)

  • In order to process video data effectively, it is required that the content information of video data is loaded in database and semantic-based retrieval method can be available for various query of users. Currently existent contents-based video retrieval systems search by single method such as annotation-based or feature-based retrieval, and show low search efficiency md requires many efforts of system administrator or annotator because of imperfect automatic processing. In this paper, we propose semantics-based video retrieval system which support semantic retrieval of various users by feature-based retrieval and annotation-based retrieval of massive video data. By user's fundamental query and selection of image for key frame that extracted from query, the agent gives the detail shape for annotation of extracted key frame. Also, key frame selected by user become query image and searches the most similar key frame through feature based retrieval method and optimized comparison area extracting that propose. Therefore, we propose the system that can heighten retrieval efficiency of video data through semantics-based retrieval.

  • As the ubiquitous technology has been widespread, the u-service development driven by the private sector is increasing these days. In this paper, a new development methodology of interactive u-services for a mixed-use complex in u-City is proposed. The current state-of-the-art IT, Web2.0, assumes that information must be communicated in both way, not only from service provides to users but also from users to service providers. Here the user-driven u-service will be utilized for service providers to customize user services. By this interactive u-service paradigm, the information users become the information providers so that the mixed-use complex will take advantage of massive information. Also, admitting that the mixed-use complex is limited in terms of the space size, the network effect of information and shared contents created through the interactive u-services can be maximized.

  • The Web is rich with various sources of information. It contains the contents of documents, multimedia data, shopping materials and so on. Due to the massive and heterogeneous web document collections, users want to find various types of target pages. We can classify user queries as three categories according to users'intent, content search, the site search, and the service search. In this paper, we present that different strategies are needed to meet the need of a user. Also we show the properties of content information, link information and URL information according to the class of a user query. In the content search, content information showed the good result. However, we lost the performance by combining link information and URL information. In the site search, we could increase the performance by combining link information and URL information.

  • Shipyard design and equipments layout problem, which are directly linked with the productivity of ship production, is an important issue serving as reference data of production plan for later massive production of ships. So far in many cases, design of a shipyard has been relying on the experienced engineers in shipbuilding, resulting in sporadic and poorly organized processes. And thus, economic losses as well as trials and errors in that accord have been pointed out as inevitable problems. This paper extracts a checklist of major elements to fine tune the shipbuilding yard designing process and the input/output data based on the simulation based shipbuilding yard layout designing framework and methodology proposed in existing researches, and executed initial architecture to develop software that integrates all the relevant processes and designing tools. In this course, both user request and design data by the steps are arranged and organized in the proposed layout design template form. In addition, simulation is done based on the parent shipbuilding process planning and scheduling data of the ship product, shipbuilding process and work stage facilities that constitute shipbuilding yard, and design items are verified and optimized with the layout and equipment list showing optimal process planning and scheduling effects. All the contents of this paper are based on simulation based shipbuilding yard layout designing methodology, and initial architecture processes are based on object oriented development methodology and system engineering methods.

Bar effects on the central SF and AGN activities in the SDSS galaxy sample

  • We explore the role of bars in AGN-galaxy co-evolution using a volume-limited face-on late-type galaxy sample with $M_r$ < -19.5 and 0.02 < z < 0.055 selected from SDSS DR7. In this study, we investigate how $SFR_{fib}$ as a proxy of gas contents at galactic center (over 1~1.5 kpc bulge scale) and central stellar velocity dispersion, ${\sigma}$, of host galaxies are connected to the bar presence and AGN activity. We find that galaxies are distributed in three distinct regions over the $SFR_{fib}-{\sigma}$ space and the behaviors of their bar fraction ($f_{Bar}$) are clearly different for each region. Galaxies at the AGN dominant region tend to be gas-deficient as $f_{Bar}$ increases and bars are more frequently found in fully-quenched late-type galaxies at the quiescent region, suggesting that bars speed up of the consumption of gas by SF and lead a sudden decline in the central gas. Overall, the bar effects on the AGN activity are positive over the same space except for quiescent galaxies with ${\sigma}$ > $170km\;s^{-1}$. Most significant bar effect on the AGN activity occurs in the less massive galaxies having sufficient gas, whereas the effect on galaxies at the AGN dominant region with higher the AGN fraction is relatively small. We suggest that the bar affect both central SF and AGN activities, but differently for central gas amount and BH (or bulge) mass of galaxies. We also investigate the AGN-bar connection with only pure AGNs and then confirm that they give marginally the same results.
