This study focused on the parent.child relationship and its, which has effect on the newly.wedded marital adjustment. Based on the relationship with analyzing attachment to parents, psychological separation, and newly.wedded marital adjustment, the research was conducted focusing on explored the relationships influences among these influences things. The subjects of this study were 216 in the newly-wedded couples with less than 5 years since of marriage. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, as a result of analysis of differences in marital adjustment according to attachment to parents revealed that, the group with stable attachment to parents showed the more a smoother adjustment in their relationships with the spouses after marriage. Second, as a result of analyzing analysis of the difference in marital adjustment according to psychological separation from parents indicated that, the higher psychological separation from parents showed the related to higher marital adjustment.
The Purpose of this study is to investigate both the value consciousness of home management and home management activities which urban low-paid housewives have and to find out the value consciousness of home management has an influence upon the home management activities. The results obtained area as follows; 1) Most of urban low-paid housewives are place in a traditional position of home management as a housekeeper or as a family leader. 2)But partially they gave more or less modern standpoints in consuming, planning and family relationship. 3) The value consciousness of home management of urban low-paid housewives is variable according to housewives' age (P<.05), education (P<.001), numbers of children(P<0.5) and wording experiences before marriage (P<0.1). The younger respondonts showed rather modernistic value consciousness of home management. The respondonts who have high educational level showed the same result. It is also strong points form them to habe few children and to have working experiences before marriage. 4) while the home management activities of urban low-paid housewives are positive as for connecting with human relationship, consuming and evaluating they are negative as for connecting with planning, creativity and housekeeping. 5)On the whole, the home management activities are variable by housewives' age (P<.05). The younger showed more effective home management abilities. 6) the home management activities of urban low-paid housewives are influenced by the value consciousness of home management. The more modernistic value consciousness of home management is connected directed directly with excellent home management activities.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of empowerment, self-efficacy, and turnover intention of dental hygienists. Date were obtained from 213 dental hygienists who were working at dental clinics, hospitals located in Seoul Kyung-ki. The results were analyzed with spsswin 9.0 and the conclusion is as follows; 1. The level of dental hygienists empowerment was 3.07, self-efficacy was 3.67, and their turnover intention was 2.98. 2. According to the working place and position, there were significant differences in empowerment(p<0.05). 3. According to the experienced-years, position, marriage and turnover experience there were significant differences in self-efficacy(p<0.05). 4. According to the position and marriage, there were significant differences in turnover intention(p<0.05). 5. Empowerment showed significant a positive correlation with self-efficacy and significant a negative correlation with turnover intention. 6. Turnover intention, information structure and opportunity structure accounted significantly for the empowerment structure and self-efficacy. 7. Self-efficacy and GE structure accounted significantly for the turnover intention.
The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the nature and relationship of attitudes of mothers and their daughters concerning the value of children. the secondary interest was to compare this study with the American studies done by Bormann & Stockdale(1979), and Leavy & Hough(1983). Subjects for the study were college-age daughters their married sisters, and their mothers. The“Fawcett Opinions about Children Questionnair”was used to measure beliefs about children. Pearson Product Moment Correlations were computed for mother-daughter(married), mother-daughter(unmarried), and daughter(married)-daughter (unmarried) on each of nine subscales on value of children. To study the generation differences and marriage differences, matched sample t-test were carried. Several significant relationships were found for mother-daughter (married), daughter(married)-daughter (unmarried) pairs. Only one significant relationship was found for mother-daughter(unmarried) pairs. Significant differences were found between mother's group and daughters' groups on most subscales except one or two (generation effect). Significant differences were found between married daughters and unmarried daughters on 4 subscales(marriage effect). The results did not corroborate the findings of American studies which revealed the lack of congruence between mother and daughter attitudes. It was noted that as daughters had children themselves, their attitudes toward children had become more congruent with their mothers. There was also evidence to support the generation differences between mothers and daughters values. It was concluded that both value similarity and generation differences vary as a function of the particular events as well as age-itself.
Objectives: This study examined the effects of perceived equity in decision-making and gender role attitudes on marital satisfaction among Chinese-Han and Korean-Chinese migrant women. Methods: Data were drawn from the 'National Survey on the Multi-Cultural Families in 2015' and 1,350 Chinese migrant women born after 1979 under the implementation of "one child policy" were selected. Chi-squared test, t-test, and multiple regression analysis were performed for analysis. Results: There were differences between Chinese-Han and Korean-Chinese in marital satisfaction and perceived equity in decision-making. For Chinese-Han, 'balanced group (perceived fairness in decision-making)' showed higher marital satisfaction than 'underbenefited group (husband is more dominant in decision-making)'. For Korean-Chinese, there was no significant difference between the groups. Conclusions: This study found how the perception of equity in decision-making would affect the quality of international marriage relationship. Especially, for Chinese-Han women, the equity plays an important role in marriage relationship.
This study proposes to implement premarital education programs designed to enhance potential capacity in marital life, targeted at marriage expectant couple and verify the effectiveness of the programs. For this study, 8 marriage expectant couples residing in Seoul participated. For this study, advance and follow-up surveys were conducted. To be specific, the advanced surveys questions were posed regarding general features, the level of communication, conflict-resolution skills and the attitude toward the role of the gender and so forth of those persons polled. In follow-up surveys, questions were asked regarding the extent to which the participant was satisfied with the contents of the education and teaching process in each session of the programs, the attitude toward the role of the gender, the level of communication and conflict-resolution skills. The effectiveness of the program was verified based on the subjective level of satisfaction of the instructor and the program manager and the statistical analyses of advance and follow-up surveys. Our findings show: First, the changes in 'the attitude toward the role of the gender' of the participants after 'the education of the role of the gender' were not significantly related. Second, after 'the education of communication' was implemented, the capability of the participants to communicate proved to have improved. Third, the extent to which the participants were satisfied with the contents of the education scored higher than the average, the level of educational satisfaction with 'the skills of communication between the husband and wife' scoring the highest. Fourth, with respect to the level of overall satisfaction with the educational effects of the program, the level of satisfaction with improved relationship between each party of the couple turned out relatively high, and the level of the overall education program also proved to be high.

This study explored culture adaptive attitudes and donning practices of traditional dress among Chinese marriage immigrant women. Quantitative research was conducted on Korea-Chinese multicultural families. Participants were 291 married women in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The data was analyzed using frequency analysis, factor analysis, t-test and correlation analysis. The findings are as follows: First, positive relationship was found between Hanbok acceptance attitudes and Qipao transmission attitudes. The level of Qipao transmission attitudes was higher than Hanbok acceptance attitudes especially in the part of knowledge. Han Chinese showed stronger Qipao transmission attitudes than Korean Chinese. Immigrants without Korean nationality had stronger Qipao transmission attitudes. Higher education group and higher income group showed higher level both on Hanbok acceptance attitudes and Qipao transmission attitudes. Second, more than 50% of Chinese marriage immigrant women wore Hanbok once or twice per a year. On the other hand, only 24% of them wore Qipao. This result shows that there exists a gap in the Qipao transmission attitudes and donning practices. 44% of women wore both Hanbok and Qipao in their own wedding ceremony, 32% wore only Hanbok, and 19% wore only Qipao. 64% of women had an experience of wearing Hanbok on special days such as traditional holidays or family affairs, whereas only 29% had worn Qipao.
This descriptive-correlational study was conducted to recognize the relational between the Perceived social support and stress in pregnant women. The subject were comprised of 154 patients who were at 24 weeks over, and data were collected by way of questionnairs at K-university hospital in Seoul during 23 days (November 21, 1986 to December 13, 1986). The result of this study may be summerized as follows. 1) The degrees of the support from situation perceived by pregnant women were: the minimal 20 feints, the maximal 61 points and the mean 40.42 feints. 2) The degrees of stress perceived by pregnant women were: the minimal 32 points, the maximal 109 points and the mean 65.49 points. 3) The results of hypotheses were: the first hypothesis was not supported that the higher the degree of social support from situation perceived by pregnant women, the lower that of stress(r= -0.01129, p=0.8895) the second was supported that the higher the degree if support perceived indirectly by pregnant women, the lower that of stress(r= -0.23832, p=0.0029). the third was supported that the higher the degree of support perceived directly by pregnant women, the lower that of stress. (r= -0.36019, p=0.0001) 4) The fourth shows that in the relationships between the characteristics of socio-popualtion and obstetrics and the degree of social support, there was significant difference; i) the support from situation differs in learning (t= -2.178, p<.05), and satisfaction of marriage (F=5.06, p<.01) ii) the support perceived indirectly differs in learning (t= -3.065, p<.01), month of pregnant(F= 2.78, p <.05), satisfaction of marriage (F=20.08, p<.001) and forms of family (t=2.11, p<.05) iii) the support perceived directly differs in satisfaction of marriage (F=21.00, p <.001) and forms of family (t=2.11, p<.05) 5) the fifth shows that in the relationship between the characteristics of sociopopulation and obstetrics and stress, the degree of satisfaction of marriage only shows the significant statistical difference(F= 0.40, p<.01) 6) The sixth shows that the factor affecting the stress of pregnant women was the support perceived directly and its explanatory power was 12.9%.
This study intends to investigate the path that their language competence impacts on the quality of life through family relationships and social relationships. We conducted a questionnaire survey of marriage immigrants, living in metropolitan areas of Korea. The results are summarized as follows: First, including linguistic competence paths directly and indirectly through family relationships and social relationships, all paths that affect the quality of life has been noted. Secondly, in highly educated, high-income and spontaneous-marriage-immigrants population groups, relationships among linguistic competence, family relationships, social relationships and the quality of life were turned out to be relatively high than comparative groups. third, every groups investigated in this study have different paths that the linguistic competence influence the quality of life, but family relationship has a stronger effect on the quality of life than any other variables including linguistic competence.
The purpose of this study was to examine the factors influencing on the oral management ability of Vietnam marriage migrant women. The subjects of the study were extracted at randomly selected with the cooperation of the Vietnamese people 's association in D metropolitan city and the public health center in C city. The data were gathered using structured questionnaires translated into Vietnamese and oral examination, collected 85. The data was collected from June, 2016 to February, 2017. Vietnam marriage migrant women's oral management ability were found to have statistically significant difference according to staying in korea, tooth brushing frequency and experiences of oral health education. Also, as a result of path analysis, self-esteem was affected on oral management ability.
