  • The price structure of housing market varies depending upon market price policy rather than low or high price policy because of IMF. The object of this study is to develop an analysis system for analyzing housing market and its demand. The analysis system consists of four major categories: macro index analysis, market decision analysis, housing market analysis, and consumer analysis. We model each category by using a variety of techniques such as generalized linear model, categorical analysis, bubble analysis, drill-down analysis, price sensitivity meter analysis, optimum price index analysis, profit index measurement analysis, correspondence analysis, conjoint analysis, and multidimensional scaling analysis. Seoul apartment data is analyzed to demonstrate the practical usefulness of the system.

  • The present study provides a theoretical investigation on pioneering advantage based on reference dependence and loss aversion effect under prospect theory (Kahneman and Tversky, 1979). Behavioral explanations for pioneering advantage are provided from two different perspectives: one based on the prototypicality and the other on the utility uncertainty of the option. A pioneer brand creates the product category and makes a strong impression in customers' mind, and thus becomes the most representative or prototypical option of the category. In addition, the pioneer brand becomes the first option to be experienced by the majority of consumers in the product category, thus has the lowest level of utility uncertainty compared with the late movers. This study integrates the previous accounts for pioneering advantage by showing that consumers have higher preferences for the most prototypical and the least uncertain option based on loss aversion and reference dependence effect. This study suggests that firms should carefully analyze the consumers' loss aversion and perceived uncertainty and prototypicality of their products in order to develop effective market entry strategies.

  • The future will see all industries become technology-driven in the competitive global market place. Firms with deep technological roots and innovation strategies have some advantages. Business valuation of technology is critical to the future of firm's business. In this situation widely used scoring valuation is not enough to evaluate relative business competitiveness associated with technology and to assign its relative ranking category. Therefore, a more useful and comprehensive new valuation approach, which is called business composite index, is needed to complement and to enhance the existing scoring valuation approach. In this research, statistical factor analysis is applied to determine the common factors and to estimate associated weights. And business composite index, which is a kind of weighted scoring method, is derived based on the results of factor analysis. This research shows that business composite index is considered very useful to measure the business relative strength of individual technology and also to assign its relative ranking category instead of absolute ranking based on scoring valuation approach.

The two largest markets in the study area (Aleshinloye and Bodija markets) were selected for sampling. The selected markets represented the two types of markets; modern and traditional markets. The modern market comprises 3803 shops while the traditional market comprises 5943 shops. Multistage sampling technique was adopted in questionnaire administration. The selected markets were stratified into zones based on the goods sold. Systematic sampling was used in the selection of traders across the markets. 2% of traders were selected for sampling in each category of goods sold making a total of 189 respondents. This comprises 77 of traders from modern market and 112 traders from traditional markets. Descriptive and Inferential statistics were used in analysing the data. Findings revealed poor access to environmental sanitation facilities especially at the traditional market. The study also established poor environmental sanitation behaviour in terms of utilisation of available amenities across both markets. It recommended a synergy of efforts by all environmentally concerned institutions in managing the market environment. It also advocated for the provision of environmental sanitation facilities in markets by, government, market management authorities, traders, Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs). In addition environmental education is imperative while enforcement of environmental regulations in the market and others with similar setting is strongly encouraged.

  • Many researchers have studied component technologies with concept, methodology and implementation for partial business domain, however there are rarely researches for component classification to manage these systematically. In this paper, we suggest a component classification model, which can make component reusability higher and can derive higher productivity of software development. We take four focuses generalization, abstraction, technology and size. The generalization means which category a component belongs to. The abstraction means how specific a component encapsulates its inside. The technology means which platform for hardware environment a component can be plugged in. The size means the physical component volume.

  • Stability of labor market in rural areas was analyzed in this paper with categories of industrial group, employment scale, surviving period, and founder group. The stability of each classified labor market was compared with each other to figure out the stable business class and the unstable class in rural areas. The results of rural areas were compared with those of urban areas. The stability was analyzed with average and coefficient of variation (C.V.) of annual total employees' change rates. It was revealed that labor market of 'primary industry', including agriculture, is unstable. Especially, labor market of 'mid-size' and 'primary industry' businesses founded as 'incorporated company' in rural areas is vulnerable. While labor market of 'large-size' is proved to be unstable, it is confirmed that 'small-size' or 'mid-size', and 'over-ten-year survived' businesses have positive contribution to the stable labor market in rural and urban areas. The results show that the stability of labor market is different in each category of business and in each region of rural or urban area. It is expected that the results can be utilized for the regional development policies, of labor and industry part.

  • We empirically examine the impact of online auction knowledge and category-specific knowledge on the final price of online auctions. Specifically, we question how the relationship between buying and selling experiences affects the final prices of online auctions. Related to the trust between buyers and sellers, we examine the multiple interactions between a buyer-seller pairand aim to identify how these repeated transactions influence the final price. To contrast these effects with other product related factors, we focus on so called 'common value' auctions of vintage stamps on eBay, in which the ex-post value of the product is the same among participating agents’ perceived value. Online auction of stamps provides a representative setting to examine the relationship between market experience and the auction participation behavior in the common value auction, as it provides the book value of stamp as well as price variation across individual buyers with different expertise levels. Our analysis of over 3000 stamps auctions on eBay indicates a significantly high frequency of buyer-seller (pair) interactions, thus suggesting a 'relationship view' of auctions. The work validates five hypotheses derived from the existing theory in economics, marketing, and information systems. Through the common-value auction data, we find that seller's online auction experience and category-specific experience favor sellers by increasing the final price. However, buyer's online auction experience does not affect the final price, but buyer's category-specific experience favors buyers by decreasing the final price. We find that the trust between two trading parties increases the final price.

Social commerce market was started from small venture company and in nowadays, its status is getting higher enough to compete with such as Gmarket and 11st. As social commerce market is rapidly growing, the interest of consumer is getting higher and we need to research about how consumers to recognize and make a purchase. For the research, I set hypothesis about consumer's recognition about social commerce, shopping experience, purchasing disposition, a trust influence on purchase attitude and we analyzed through actual investigation. I did a survey for male and female in 20s. An analysis result showed that the recognition about social commerce, shopping experience, purchasing disposition and a trust can affect on purchasing satisfaction. The most popular category in social commerce market was restaurant and fashion and I also found that consumers visit social commerce market in case of need rather than regular visits. I expect a rapid growth of social commerce market as an advance of smartphones. I hope this research could help for to establish marketing strategy by understanding characteristics of social commerce market and consumer proneness.
