  • In late 20th century, smart home market evolved in China, and absorbed best manpower and technology to commercialize the smart home equipment. Many foreign companies want to take possession of Chinese market, but not arrive at abundance yet. There has many reasons, but most important thing is ignoring the interaction between technical elements and spacial elements. in other words, ignoring the correlation between each industry. Korean smart home market evolved same period with Chinese, but it has balanced development in technic and application, so the commercialize and market arrived at poverty. In this study, survey the present situation of smart home about Korea and China, and compare the technical elements. In addition to analysis the interaction between smart spacial contents and technology. This study focused on the smart apartment, and analysis the strength and weakness in each country, and make theoretical basement for Korea to make certain about Chinese smart home market.

  • There is difference between European Cuisine and Korean Cuisine in various ways. In order to advance Korean Food into European Market, we should understand well European food-culture and food-custom. There are several process for push into the European Market. First, we inform European like that Korea traditional food (repast tool, the interior of Korean restaurant, traditional music, food-sequence, service method etc.). Second, we can introduce them ' Korean Fusion Food ' and that Korean Cuisine is ' Health foods '. For globalization of Korean Cuisine, we must understand exactly European market situation and know well the field law and tax system for business. Next, we establish the prior plan to supply with Korean food material till faraway region.

한.미.중 의료기기에 관한연구 (A Study on the Medical Devices in Korea, U.S., and China)

  • This study has analyzed the international trade flow of medical devices in Korea, China, and U.S. more theoretically and systematically through a mutual connection of the medical device export structure of Korea and the import structure of China and U.S. organically, with an intensity approach on the bilateral international trade flow. Also, it is meaningful to find a solution to boost exports of Korea to China and U.S.. Therefore in this study, we recognize the importance of the medical device market in China and U.S., which is the main competition for Korea and its market, and look into the trade situation of these three countries. We also look into the relative market stream and the trade intensity of the main medical devices in Korea, China and U.S., and seek measures for the steady growth of the medical device market in these three countries.

국내 RFID 시장의 확산 분석 및 예측 모형 (Analysis and Forecasting of Diffusion of RFID Market in Korea)

  • In recent decades, RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology has been recognized as one of the most core competencies in implementing ubiquitous society. However, Korea has not seen good success in diffusion of RFID even though Korean government continues funding many projects to diffuse the technology in industries. Most previous researches overestimate the growth of Korean RFID market in contrary to real market situation. This study aims to analyze the Korean RFID market and find a reasonable forecasting model for it. Our experimental results show that Bass forecasting model provides the more realistic estimates than any other models and the analyses of forecasting error provide useful information for the better forecasting. We also observed that government policy plays a crucial role in the diffusion of RFID technology in Korea.

R&D집약도와 시장구조 (R&D Intensity and Market Structure)

  • According to "structure-conduct-performance" paradigm in IO, market structure (concentration) determines conduct (R&D investments), and conduct yields market performance (ratio of price to marginal cost). Previous empirical studies on Schumpeter Mark I, II assumed that the explanatory variable (market structure) and the disturbance are uncorrelated in the R&D equation. In this situation, Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) estimates of the structural parameters are inconsistent, because the endogeneous variables (R&D and market structure) can be determined simultaneously. So, in this study, full information (or system methods) estimation is used to test Schumpeter hypothesis since joint estimation can as well bring efficiency gains in the seemingly uncorrelated regressions (SUR) setting.

Public Building Value Evaluation Using Contingent Valuation Method Based on Market Value Estimation

  • Building deterioration reflects the degradation of basic building performance including structural performance, energy performance, durability, and safety, and it also includes perceived deterioration, which considers a user-based perspective. More than 50% of the existing buildings in Korea are over 15 years old and public buildings compose 2.5% of all buildings domestically. Therefore, there are several different problems, such as poor energy efficiency, structural performance, and safety. To address the challenges of increasing stock in deteriorated buildings, it is necessary to make decisions about reconstruction or renovation. In this study, we propose a new method to evaluate public building value with a contingent valuation method (CVM). By estimating willing-to-pay (WTP) from users of private buildings in similar situation with the public building, it is possible to compare market prices and calculate a correction factor to adjust the WTP data. Finally, we apply the correction factor to the WTP of a public building and estimate market price, willingness to pay (WTP). 수산물 관여도에 따른 상황요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Situation Factor related to Consumer Involvement of Seafood)

  • In order to deal with consumer's demand changes in market condition, it is necessary to have a study on the consumer behavior to promote seafood consumption. The objective of this study is to examine the factors that have influences on consumer involvement of seafood. It is also aim to examine how the situation of seafood factors influences the consumer's behavior in purchasing and consuming the seafood. In this study, I have conducted a survey by using Busan housewives as random sampling. To examine this variable, situation factors that I used if the factor analysis. I also performed a multiple regression analysis to understand how the situation factors influenced the consumer's emotion and their satisfaction within the level of involvement. The result showed that consumer involvement seafood is created by not only interests and preferences, but also knowledge, perceived risk and profits. The seafood situation factors are divided into purchase situation, consumption situation and communication situation: purchase situation includes store factor, while consumption situation includes health factor and cooking-motive factor and communication situation includes information factor. Results of examining whether there are differences in the involvement explains that the involvement is different according to the level and it is divided into 2 groups. The first groups is the high-involvement group that shows preferences and interests, perceived risk and profits. Another group is the low-involvement group that shows preferences and interests, knowledge and profits. The result on examining whether situation sectors have influences on the involvement shows that high-involvement group is only affected by store factor in purchase situation and low-involvement group is only affected by information factor in communication situation.

  • 최근 우리나라 주택 시장은 잦은 정책 변화 등 내부적 요소와 해외 경제 환경 변화 등 외부적 요소에 의해 예측할 수 없는 상황이 계속되고 있다. 특히 미래 주택 시장에 대한 가격, 수요, 공급을 예측하는 데에 있어 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 따라 주택 시장 변화에 대한 다양한 분석이 이루어지고 있으나 부분적이고 단편적인 시각이 주를 이루고 있어, 인과관계에 따른 주택시장을 분석할 수 있는 시스템적 논리의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 주택의 수요와 공급에 의해 결정되는 주택시장의 기본 원리를 바탕으로 시스템 다이내믹스(System Dynamics)를 이용한 주택 시장 작동 원리를 작성하여, 내 외부 환경변화에 따른 주택 시장의 영향을 파악할 수 있는 기본 모형을 구축하고자 한다.

Global Distribution Enterprises' Entry into the Chinese Market: Focus on the Three Northeastern Provinces

  • Purpose - This study aims to investigate Korean distribution enterprises' entry into the Chinese market. By studying Korean companies' strategy and current situation in the Chinese retail market and analyzing Lotte Mart's strategy, this study was aimed at identifying comprehensive strategies for Korean companies striving to expand in China's retail market. Research design, data, and methodology - A case study approach is used, focusing on the three northeastern provinces in China, and examining global firms' entry into the Chinese market. The study employed a direct survey and a literature review. Results - Korean distribution firms' entry into the overseas market is in the inception stage and it should be developed, considering its effects on the national economy and other industries. Conclusion - The cases of E-mart and Lotte Mart, representing Korean distribution firms, showed that they should not rely on scale to succeed in China. Both preliminary analysis and careful strategies are required to ensure success. Considering the high growth potential of the Chinese market, a management strategy that takes account of Chinese people's emotions was needed.

DEVELOPING U-CITY MARKET SCENARIOS THROUGH A SCENARIO PLANNING APPROACH

  • The u-City construction project has become a hot topic in the construction market because it seems economic value-added field for construction firms. However, construction firms don't willingly participate in the u-City construction market because environments of the future business for the u-City are very uncertain. Scenario planning is a very powerful method in managing this uncertain planning situation and is based on scenarios that help each enterprise appropriately adapt itself to its own business environments. Therefore it is based on the main principles of systems thinking and multiple futures. For the purpose of dealing with such uncertainties, this paper attempts to develop the possible market scenarios of the u-City construction market in S.Korea through a scenario planning approach. From this perspective, we considered various aspects of the u-City construction such as market demands, technology development, policy level and management environment. After considering the relevant issues, we identified the main trends and key uncertainties. Finally, we developed three coherent u-City construction market scenarios. Construction firms can use these scenarios as a basic reference for market analysis and business strategy. Therefore, this paper is able to enhance the participation of construction firms in the u-City construction market.
