Very often has it happened that Korean flag ships were detained due to the defect of the ship itself at the port they are entering into by the system of Port State Control(PSC). It does matter because the high detention ratio of Korean ships causes to increase the survey ratio of Korean ships by PSC countries, which increases overall operating costs of Korean shipping companies. Therefore Korean government should take tougher action on the detention of Korean ships. The study uses 946 inspections to formulate the model of identifying PSC-weak ships by logistic regression analysis.

중국 경제의 급성장으로 인한 전세계 물동량의 동북아시아로의 집중현상은 부산항을 포함한 지역 내 항만들의 경쟁을 점차 심각해지게 하고 있다. 이에 동북아시아 항만들은 생산성과 더불어 항만의 서비스를 극대화하고자 하는 노력을 기울이고 있으며 항만이 제공하여야 할 서비스 중 가장 중요하게 부각되고 있는 항만물류정보 시스템 구축 및 효율적 운영에 총력을 기울이고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 부산항이 경우, 이미 항만물류 정보시스템은 구축이 되어 있으나 보안 및 인증문제 등으로 인해 아직 활성화 되지 못하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 부산항 항만물류산업에서 EDI의 활용도를 높이기 위한 전체적인 연구모형 도출과 항만물류업체를 업종별, 집단별로 구분하여 차별화된 활성화 모형을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다.

Knowing what factors into a player's ability to affect the outcome of a sports game is crucial. This knowledge helps determine the relative degree of contribution by each team member as well as sets appropriate annual salaries. This study uses statistical analysis to investigate how much the outcome of a professional baseball game is influenced by the records of individual players. We used the Lotte Giants' data on 252 games played between 2007 and 2008 that included environmental data(home or away games and opponents) as well as pitchers' and batters' data. Using a SAS Enterprise Miner, we performed a logistic regression analysis and decision tree analysis on the data. The results obtained through the two analytic methods are compared and discussed.

This paper considers corrosion wastage of two ship hull structure members as a part of investigated fuel oil tanks of 25 aging bulk carriers. Taking into account that many factors which influence corrosion wastage of ship hull structures are of uncertain nature, the related corrosion rate ($c_1$) is considered here as a real-valued continuous distribution, assuming that the corrosion wastage starts after 5, 6 or 7 years. In all considered cases, by using available data and applying three basic statistical tests, it is established that between two-parameter continuous distributions, normal, Weibull and logistic distributions are best fitted distributions for the mentioned corrosion rate ($c_1$). Note that the presented statistical, numerical and graphical results concerning two mentioned ship hull structure members allow to compare and discuss the corresponding probabilistic estimates for the corrosion rate ($c_1$).

기업의 공급망 관리와 소비스 만족도 향상, 효율적 물류관리 차원에서의 기업 물류거점의 규모 및 위치 결정 등의 전략을 수립하는 것은 기업의 장기적인 비전과 직결됨과 동시에 물류 최종목표인 고객만족을 극대화시키는 기업전략과 일치하는 매우 중요한 의사결정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 기업을 대상으로 실제 기존 물류거점 및 물류비용을 분석하고 기존 물류거점을 재조정, 재배치하여 물류비 절감 및 물류 효율성을 제고함으로 향후 타 기업의 물류거점 구축 및 재배치에 유익한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to find suitable probability distribution function of complex distribution data like multimodal. Normal distribution is broadly used to assume probability distribution function. However, complex distribution data like multimodal are very hard to be estimated by using normal distribution function only, and there might be errors when other distribution functions including normal distribution function are used. In this study, we experimented to find fit probability distribution function in multimodal area, by using AIS(Automatic Identification System) observation data gathered in Mokpo port for a year of 2013. By using chi-squared statistic, gaussian mixture model(GMM) is the fittest model rather than other distribution functions, such as extreme value, generalized extreme value, logistic, and normal distribution. GMM was found to the fit model regard to multimodal data of maritime traffic flow distribution. Probability density function for collision probability and traffic flow distribution will be calculated much precisely in the future.

해상교통상황에서 수집된 선박 조우(Encounter) 데이터 변수는 선박 충돌 및 근접사고(Near-Collision) 위험도를 통계적인 방법에 의한 분석이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 선박 조우 데이터에서 추출되는 다수의 선박충돌위험도 평가 변수들을 요인분석(Factor Analysis)하여, 선박 조우데이터에서 충돌위험에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인을 결정하고자 한다. 각 요인 결정을 위해 선박조우데이터 변수 정규분포화 및 표준화를 수행한 후 주성분 분석(Principal Component Analysis)으로 요인을 결정하였다. 요인분석결과 선박 근접도 요인과 충돌회피변화요인으로 요약하였다.

부산은 세계 3위의 최대 컨테이너 항만시설과 물류시스템을 갖추고 있는 해양도시이지만, 부산시민의 해양의식은 이에 미치지 못하고 있다. 이에 부산지역 해양교육의 현황을 분석하여, 부산지역 해양교육의 문제점을 분석하고 이를 활성화시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 부산시가 해양도시로써 명성을 이어가고 건전한 친수문화의 조성과 해양문화를 널리 전파할 수 있을 것이다.
