  • Since the school buildings are generally used as public shelters when the natural disasters such as flood and earthquake occur, it must be designed to show enough structural performance when subject to earthquake. Major failure mode of the school buildings observed in past earthquakes were shear failure of column of which length is shortened by infilled masonry blocks. In this study, the seismic risk of the reinforced concrete school building structure was evaluated by using the seismic performance evaluation methods of low-story RC structures developed in Japan and the required seismic performance index which is obtained according to the KBC2008 seismic hazard map and soil types. In this paper, the seismic performance of the school building is evaluated by considering this short-column effects, building shape and deterioration.

  • Recently, photogrammetry, TLS(Terrestrial Laser Scanner), MMS(Mobile Mapping System)-based techniques have been applied to estimate earthwork volume for construction management. The primary objective of this study is to analyze the accuracy of earthwork volume estimating between photogrammetry and TLS, MMS that improves the traditional surveying method in convenience, estimating accuracy. For this, the following research works are conducted sequentially; 1) literature review, 2) core algorithm analysis, 3) surveying data acquisition using photogrammetry, TLS, MMS, 4) estimated earthwork volume comparison according to surveying method. As a result of the experiment, it was analyzed that there were earthwork volume errors of 1,207.5m3 (14.03%) of UAV-based digital map, 391.5m3(4.55%) of UAV, TLS integrated digital map, and 294.9m3(3.43%) of UAV, MMS integrated digital map. It is expected that the result of this study will be enormous due to the availability of the analyzed data.

  • The digital map expresses natural topographies and artificial things with 3D position coordinates in the computer such as the road, railway, building, river, mountain, paddy and dryland. Therefore, the digital map is regarded as an important factor in the information-oriented society. However, it is difficult to maintain the most recent topographic information all the times because of restricted budget and time. For that, the efficient method corresponded with the digital map should be presented. This study aims to suggest the way to make an estimate of updating cost for 1:5,000 scale digital map by using remotely sensed data. To predict updating area of the digital map, the screen digitizing method was applied to the overlapped images and digital maps.

  • Cryptographic protocols depend on the hardness of some computational problems for their security. Joux briefly summarized known relations between assumptions related bilinear map in a sense that if one problem can be solved easily, then another problem can be solved within a polynomial time [6]. In this paper, we investigate additional relations between them. Firstly, we show that the computational Diffie-Hellman assumption implies the bilinear Diffie-Hellman assumption or the general inversion assumption. Secondly, we show that a cryptographic useful self-bilinear map does not exist. If a self-bilinear map exists, it might be used as a building block for several cryptographic applications such as a multilinear map. As a corollary, we show that a fixed inversion of a bilinear map with homomorphic property is impossible. Finally, we remark that a self-bilinear map proposed in [7] is not essentially self-bilinear.

  • The purpose of this research is to design a road using digital photogrammatry method to generate DEM(digital elevation model) and digital ortho image based on GSIS which was applied to the road simulation. The example study area was the suburbs of Jeju city. To this study, 1/5,000 digital map and GSIS technique were used for optimum road design of the island based on Arc View software. Using this software we can Set an overlay map by combination of hill shade map, slope map, aspect map, and building buffer map. Based on this overlap map, we designed the best road line and along this line we performed three dimensional road simulation using Microstation CAD and Inroads road design programs. From the results, we found that the DEM and digital ortho image acquired from stereoairphoto using digital photogrammatry was satisfied for choosing the best roadline and the developed three dimensional road simulation technique using GSIS technique was very useful to estimate the reasonable road design before the real road construction works.

  • Due to the increased use of digital maps in the construction industry, there is a growing demand for high-quality digital map analysis. With the large amounts of data found in digital maps at earthwork sites, there is a particular need to enhance the accuracy and speed of digital map analysis. To address this issue, our study aims to develop new technology and verify its performance to address non-ground and range mismatch issues that commonly arise. Additionally, our study presents a new digital map analysis framework for earthwork sites that utilizes three newly developed technologies to improve the performance of digital map analysis. Through this, it achieved about 95% improvement in analysis performance compared to the existing framework. This study is expected to contribute to the improvement of the quality of digital map analysis data of earthworks.

  • The framework plan for the development of an integrated underground space map was established of preventing ground subsidence. The mapping process is expected to be completed to the level of nationwide municipal government standards by end of this year. To facilitate the utilization of the integrated underground space map, paper-based drawings for specialized organizations in underground safety impact assessment have been provided since September 2018, and services for local government officials have been provided in the underground information utilization system since May 2019. However, the map is utilized based on the information at the time of the initial development of the map, without any updates, thereby resulting in a lack of accuracy and latest information. This has led to a decrease in the utilization and reliability of the information. Therefore, in this study, for the underground structures(subway, underground shopping mall, underground passage, underground roadway, underground parking lot, utility tunnel), which are the key components of the integrated underground space map, a standard format for the submission of completed drawings is designed in accordance with Article 42 (2) of the Special Act on Underground Safety Management, which aims at laying the foundation for establishing the updated system of the integrated underground space map. In addition, through the verification of the automatically updated underground structure data based on the standard format, the reliability of the data can be assured. This format is expected to contribute to the improved utilization of the integrated underground space map in the future.
