OpenVSLAM-based Cooperative Mobile AR System Architecture (OpenVSLAM 기반의 협력형 모바일 SLAM 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, we designed, implemented, and verified the SLAM system that can be used on mobile devices. Mobile SLAM is composed of a stand-alone type that directly performs SLAM operation on a mobile device, and a mapping server type that additionally configures a mapping server based on FastAPI to perform SLAM operation on the server and transmits data for map visualization to a mobile device. The mobile SLAM system proposed in this paper is to mix the two types in order to make SLAM operation and map generation more efficient. The stand-alone type SLAM system was configured as an Android app by porting the OpenVSLAM library to the Unity engine, and the map generation and performance were evaluated on desktop PCs and mobile devices. The mobile SLAM system in this paper is an open source project, so it is expected to help develop AR contents based on SLAM in a mobile environment.

  • Recently, the RPAS(Remote Piloted Aircraft System), by remote control and autonomous navigation, has been increasing in interest and utilization in various industries and public organizations along with delivery drones, fire drones, ambulances, agricultural drones, and others. The problems of the stability of unmanned drones, which can be self-controlled, are also the biggest challenge to be solved along the development of the drone industry. drones should be able to fly in the specified path the autonomous flight control system sets, and perform automatically an accurate landing at the destination. This study proposes a technique to check arrival by landing point images and control landing at the correct point, compensating for errors in location data of the drone sensors and GPS. Receiving from the Google Map API and learning from the destination video, taking images of the landing point with a drone equipped with a NAVIO2 and Raspberry Pi, camera, sending them to the server, adjusting the location of the drone in line with threshold, Drones can automatically land at the landing point.

  • In this paper, we present a framework that is easy to develop, modify, maintain and extend a control and monitoring software for any kinds of instruments. The presented framework is composed of three XML documents (IID, MAP, and CMIML) and two tools (Virtual Instrument Wizard, Generator). Interface information about behaviors and states of instruments is written on IID. Mapping information between the interface information in IID and API of a real instrument driver is written on MAP. Finally information about control and monitoring software is written on CMIML. IID, MAP and CMIML are written with XML format to provide common usage and platform independence of the suggested framework. VI Wizard generates CMIML (platform independent intermediate document) using IID and existing CMIML, and Generator generates source code of a control and monitoring software (platform dependent code) automatically using CMIML and MAP. The suggested framework that automatically generates control and monitoring software based on GUI provides easy development and maintenance. Also, reusability can be increased by reusing platform independent software description documents.

  • A mashup is a web page or application that uses and combines information, contents or Open APIs available on the web to create a new service. The mashup developed by the need not combination of simple information can contribute to new added-values with practicality and convenience. Thus, in this paper, we want to develop a RIA-based dynamic mashup service for the users considering weather forecast and marine information importantly. We design and implement the system that it can register a number of information about a domain dynamically through registration process based on the map and present a mark of domain location on the map and the information including internal environment, external environment and weather of related to the domain within a webpage. Implemented service need not require a tedious process visiting other web sites every time to confirm the relevant information because we can see simultaneously related information with a map within a page.

  • Recent growth of the geospatial information on the Web has made it possible to easily access a wide variety of geospatial information. An integration of different geospatial objects consists of the following three steps; extracting geospatial objects from the maps, converting the coordinate system and discovering pairs of objects that represent the same real-world entity in the two maps. This paper deals mainly with the third step to correspond conjugate objects and four matching types and criteria is presented. The techniques designed and developed can be utilized to efficiently integrate distributed heterogeneous spatial databases such as the digital maps and POIs from other data sources. To achieve the goal, we presented four types and criteria for the matching schema. The main contributions of this paper are as follows. A complete process of integrating data from maps on the Web is presented. Then, we show how attributes of the objects can be used in the integration process.

  • 본 연구에서는 언택트 시대에 여행 트렌드가 된 차박을 위한 모바일 앱 'GO차박'을 설계하고 구현하였다. 코로나 19로 인해 언택트 문화가 새로운 트렌드로 자리 잡게 되면서 '차박'에 대한 관심이 급격하게 증가하게 되었다. 이에 따라 차박에 대한 정보를 찾는 수요자와 정보는 증가하였으나 방대한 정보에 대한 용이한 접근을 제공하고 증가하는 수요자를 만족시킬 수 있는 어플리케이션은 미흡하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 많은 차박 수요자들에게 쉽게 접근하여 차박에 대한 정보를 종합적이고 간편하게 찾아볼 수 있고 서로 정보 공유도 할 수 있는 모바일 앱을 제공하고자 'GO차박'을 개발하게 되었다. 방대한 정보를 다루기 때문에 깔끔한 UI를 구성하였고 Firebase와 NaverSearch API, Naver Map API, OpenWeatherAPI를 사용하여 정보의 정확도를 높이고자 하였다. 본문에서는 차박 앱에 대한 주요 기능들을 설명하고 결론에서는 'GO차박'의 기대 효과와 향후 확장 방향에 대해 제시하고 있다.

Design and Implementation of Optimized Route Search Technique based on User Experience Using Open APIs (지도 오픈 API를 활용한 사용자 경험 기반 최적화 이동 경로 탐색 기법의 설계와 구현)

  • Among location-based systems, a route search service is very highly utilized as a representative technique, but it provides relatively low accuracy when we find a route path on foot in our real environment. In this paper, we design and implement an optimized route search technique based on user experience utilizing open APIs as location-based services. Finally, we develop an Android-based application to provide this feature. In our experiment, we found that our technique enhanced performance by about 14-36% compared to previous solutions, such as route path searches using map APIs. In addition, the performance of our technique can be further enhanced, as the number of users who find such optimized route path is increasing.

Vehicle Waiting Time Information Service using Vehicle Object Detection at Fuel Charging Station

  • In this study, we created a system that can determine the number of vehicles entering and departing a charging station in real time for solving waiting time problems during refueling. Accordingly, we use the You Only Look Once object detection algorithm to detect and count the number of vehicles in the charging station and send the data to the Firebase Realtime Database. The result is shown using an Android application that provides a map function with the Kakao Maps API at the user interface side. Our system has an accuracy of 91% and an average response time of 3.1 s. Therefore, this system can be used by drivers to determine the availability of a charging station and to identify the charging station with the least waiting time for charging their vehicle.

  • 최근 여성, 아동을 대상으로 한 범죄 발생률이 증가 하고 있다. 이러한 통계를 기반으로 우리 생활 깊숙이 자리 매김한 스마트 폰 애플리케이션을 활용하여 범죄를 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있는 애플리케이션을 개발 하였다. SQLite를 이용한 Database기능과 Google API Package의 MapView를 사용하여 지인의 정보를 놓고 언제든지 사용자의 위치정보를 빠르게 전달할 수 있는 앱을 구현 하여 주기적인 위치전송으로 인한 사용자의 위치파악이 가능하고, 위급상황 시 긴급전화를 이용하여 사고 대처가 가능하며, GPS를 이용한 본인의 위치 주변 지리 파악이 용이하다. 또한 수신자가 발신자의 이동경로를 한눈에 봄으로써 위치파악에 용이 함으로 안전한 귀가 서비스를 제공한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 시맨틱 기반의 상호운용성을 지원하는 Fiesta IoT 온톨로지 모델을 기반으로 Protégé에서 새로운 온톨로지를 추가하여 모델링을 하였다. 이를 통해 KT IoTMakers에서 Open API를 통해 받은 JSON 형태의 데이터를 Jena 프레임워크를 이용하여 RDF 데이터로 변환하였다. 또한, 변환된 RDF 데이터를 Fuseki 서버로 전송하여 저장했으며, SPARQL 질의를 통한 결과를 Daum Map API를 사용하여 웹으로 표현하였다. 이를 통해 사람들이 시맨틱 IoT 매쉬업 서비스를 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 기회를 제공하여 다양한 응용 가능성을 가진다.
