국내 제조기업의 JIT생산방식의 도입과 제조성과에 관한 연구 (JIT Production System of Domestic Manufacturers and It's Impact on Manufacturing Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose guidelines for introducing the Just-In-Time (JIT) production system to enhance the competitiveness of Korean manufacturing companies. This study employed an extensive survey on the use of the JIT production systems among different korean manufacturing companies to understand the current status of the JIT production system in use and to identify the benefits from implementing JIT production system. The survey has covered 170 manufacturing companies of different sizes from various sectors of Korean industries including electronics, automobiles, machineries, and textiles. In conclusion, our research results support that the JIT production system would contribute to increase the manufacturing performances of Korean manufacturing companies through lower inventory level and increased quality level.

  • 제조 생산 기업에서 도입하고 있는 MES (제조실행시스템: Manufacturing Execution System) 역시 이러한 시장 변화에 부응하기 위해 스마트화 및 IT융합화를 실현해야하는 현실에 놓여있다. 더욱이 최근 비즈니스 환경이 글로벌화(globalization) 됨에 따라 지역적으로 하나의 공장에서 제한적으로 생산되는 제품들이 다국적이고 분산적으로 생산하게 된다. 따라서 하나의 공장 운용 시스템을 관장하던 로컬(local) MES가 글로벌(global) MES 솔루션으로 확장되는 동시에, 로컬 MES간 생산 자원(production resource)을 상호 공유하는 시스템으로 변화되어야 한다.

  • 스마트공장 등으로 변화하는 경쟁 환경 속에서 제조시스템의 현 수준을 측정하고 개선 목표와 과제를 도출, 추진하여 제조경쟁력의 수준을 높이는 것이 기업의 기본적 활동이 되고 있다. 그러나 기업의 미래 제조경쟁력을 갖추기 위한 구성요소 분석과 성숙도평가에 관한 연구는 부분적으로 진행되고 있고 초기단계에 있다. 본 연구는 제조시스템에 대한 다양한 관점의 모델, 개발프로세스, 프레임워크 등에 대한 기존 연구를 분석하였다. 또한 스마트공장 관련 성숙도평가 연구들을 통해 미래 제조시스템의 구성요소들을 도출하여 구조모델을 설계하였다. 평가모델, 변환모델까지 포함하는 메타모델을 설계하고 프레임워크 개발 프로세스를 도출하여 미래 제조시스템의 성숙도평가를 위한 통합적 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 또한 실제 스마트공장 평가에 적용하여 검증하였다. 제시된 프레임워크는 미래 제조시스템의 성숙도평가를 위한 기반 도구로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Virtual Manufacturing System(VMS) is an integrated computer based model which has physical, logical schema and behavior of real manufacturing system. In this paper, an integrated scheduling system is developed to simulate and control a Virtual Factory. A workflow model is constructed to define and analyze the structure of a VMS. On-line dynamic dispatching system is developed using MultiPass algorithm and scheduling system considering dynamic CAPP is carried out. Integrated scheduling system developed in this paper reduces the discrepancies between virtual model and real manufacturing system, and control of real shop floor is possible.

  • In order to quickly respond to the rapidly changing manufacturing environment, it is imperative for the system to have such capabilities as flexibility, adaptability, reusability, etc. One of the promising approaches for new manufacturing paradigm satisfying those capabilities is the fractal manufacturing system (FrMS). FrMS is based on the concept of autonomously cooperating and self-reconfigurable agents referred to as fractals. In this paper, a fractal template is proposed to have both fractal-specific and agent-specific characteristics and proper techniques for implementation are also selected. The proposed template can be easily extended to the platform of FrMS which supports simulation, shop flow control, and other research issues existed in the manufacturing systems. An example of applying the proposed template to the simulation is also presented.

  • In this paper, the web-based monitoring system is developed for the effective process monitoring of mold manufacturing using web. In developed system, the cutting force for monitoring the manufacturing condition is measured using hall-sensor that is low cost and useful to be installed in a machine tool indirectly. Specially, the current of main spindle in a machine tool is converted into cutting force by various experiments. For effective web-based monitoring, the program which runs in the local computer of client is made to exchange message between a server and a client by making of ActiveX control and the result of manufacturing is shown on web-browser by Ch language. The developed system in this study is the foundation of establishing E-manufacturing in mold factory.

  • A competitive automated manufacturing system integrates the various control processes and data used in service of products. design, manufacturing, and, sale. CIM is a way to achieve such integration through computers and computational techniques in manufacturing, planning, and design. Developing effective CIM architectures is hampered by integration problems. The key to resolving these problems lies in a better understanding of manufacturing function and how it is related to other manufacturing functions. Integration of CIM environment requires coordinated solutions to data management problems for individual application system as well as for exchange of data between these applications. This requires a common framework for data management throughout the CIM environment. This paper discusses the design paradigm as a framework for this purpose. Designing an organizational structure to meet those goals invloves 1) analyzing the functions through functional decomposition, 2) developing a data model to coordinate functions. As a result, we propose an object-oriented design methodology for manufacturing information system.

  • The low price around 1000 USD makes consumer 3D printers as a new additive manufacturing platform for the personal manufacturing where consumers can make and sell their own products. To allow the consumers to design and manufacture their products, not only economic 3D printers but also supporting information systems for their design and manufacturing are essential. This study suggests an extended product data management (PDM) system that can support both the design and manufacturing of personal products with consumer 3D printing services. This extended PDM system helps consumer designers use advanced PDM technologies for their design and connected 3D printing services with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for realization of their products. As a result, the proposed system supports the consumer designers a seamless integrated product development and manufacturing environment supported by PDM and consumer 3D printing services.
