  • 본 논문에서는 자동화 생산 시설물의 객체모니터링을 위해서 생산라인 현장의 상태 감시 모니터링이 가능한 시스템을 구현하고자하며, 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 영상추적필터를 이용한 CCTV 영상추적 기술을 제안하고자 한다. 이 시스템에서는 자동화 생산 시설물의 객체모니터링을 위해 기존에 일반적으로 사용되었던 영상모니터링 방식이 아닌 영상추적필터를 기반으로 소프트웨어를 구축하여 효율적이며, 신뢰성 있는 데이터 전달을 함으로써 PC 기반의 모니터링이 가능하게 한다. 그리고 실시간 상태 확인이 가능하도록 함으로써 관리자의 접근성과 편의성을 향상시켰다. 또한 제안한 모니터링 시스템에 영상추적필터를 적용한 시뮬레이션을 수행함으로써 성능개선효과를 확인하였으며, 제안한 시스템의 효율성과 유용성을 확인하였다.

The Balance Between Safety and Productivity and its Relationship with Human Factors and Safety Awareness and Communication in Aircraft Manufacturing

  • Background: This paper presents the findings of a pilot research survey which assessed the degree of balance between safety and productivity, and its relationship with awareness and communication of human factors and safety rules in the aircraft manufacturing environment. Methods: The study was carried out at two Australian aircraft manufacturing facilities where a Likert-scale questionnaire was administered to a representative sample. The research instrument included topics relevant to the safety and human factors training provided to the target workforce. The answers were processed in overall, and against demographic characteristics of the sample population. Results: The workers were sufficiently aware of how human factors and safety rules influence their performance and acknowledged that supervisors had adequately communicated such topics. Safety and productivity seemed equally balanced across the sample. A preference for the former over the latter was associated with a higher awareness about human factors and safety rules, but not linked with safety communication. The size of the facility and the length and type of employment were occasionally correlated with responses to some communication and human factors topics and the equilibrium between productivity and safety. Conclusion: Although human factors training had been provided and sufficient bidirectional communication was present across the sample, it seems that quality and complexity factors might have influenced the effects of those safety related practices on the safety-productivity balance for specific parts of the population studied. Customization of safety training and communication to specific characteristics of employees may be necessary to achieve the desired outcomes.

생체 적합성이 확보를 위한 오존화 올리브오일 제조 장치 구현 (Implementing of Ozonated Olive Oil Manufacturing Device to Ensure Biocompatibility)

  • 오존화 올리브 오일은 피부 질환에 우수한 치료 효과가 있어, 오존을 활용한 화장품 제조 기술의 개발이 시도되고 있다. 오존은 인체에 유해한 요소가 있어 오존화 올리브 오일을 화장품 원료용으로 제조하기 위해서는 별도의 시설이 준비되어야 한다. 본 연구에서 개발된 제조 장치는 생산에 투입된 작업자의 안전이 확보된 상태에서 화장품 제조에 최적화된 공정으로 설계 되었다. 구현된 장치로부터 제조된 오존화 올리브유의 검증을 위해 동물실험을 대상을 한 독성시험을 진행하였고 Rabbit에 대한 오존화 오일(고농도)을 Rabbit의 등 부위에 24시간 동안 도포한 후 사망률, 일반증상 및 피부 자극평가를 수행하였다. 실험 결과 일정 시간 후 시험 물질 처치부위를 평가한 결과, 모든 동물에서 피부자극이 관찰되지 않음이 확인되어 오존화 오일의 생산공정의 안전성과 생성물의 안전성을 확인 할 수 있었다.

Digital Human Simulation을 활용한 방사성 폐기물 처리장 주제어실의 인체공학적 평가 (Ergonomic Evaluation of a Control Room Design of Radioactive Waste Facility using Digital Human Simulation)

  • The present study evaluated a preliminary control room (CR) design of radioactive waste facility using the $JACK^{(R)}$ human simulation system. Four digital humanoids ($5^{th}$, $50^{th}$, $95^{th}$, and $99^{th}$ percentiles) were used in the ergonomic evaluation. The first three were selected to represent 90% of the target population (Korean males aged 20 to 50 years) and the last to reflect the secular trend of stature for next 20 years in South Korea. The preliminary CR design was assessed by checking its compliance to ergonomic guidelines specified in NUREG-0700 and conducting an in-depth ergonomic analysis with a digital prototype of the CR design and the digital humanoids in terms of postural comfort, reachability, visibility, and clearance. For identified design problems, proper design changes and their validities were examined using JACK. A revised CR design suggested in the present study would contribute to effective and safe operations of the CR as well as operators' health in the workplace.

매설심도에 따른 가스 배관의 응력 변형 특성 (Stress and Strain Distribution of Gas Pipe According to Buried Depth)

  • 최근 들어 다양한 재료 및 제조기술의 개발로 가스관 품질이 향상되어 매설심도를 저심도화 할 수 있는 환경이 조성되고 있다. 또한 선진 외국과 비교하여 국내 매설깊이 기준이 약 50cm 정도 깊은 것으로 조사되어 시공비용, 차량지체비용 등을 고려하였을 때 비효율적인 매설깊이 규정인 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 매설깊이 변화(0.8m, 1.0m, 1.2m)에 따른 가스관의 응력 및 변형 거동을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 수치해석 및 현장시험을 통하여 매설심도 변화에 따른 가스관(API 5L)의 거동특성을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 매설심도의 감소가 가스관의 응력, 변형 특성에 큰 영향을 미치지 않을 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 생산입지의 결정으로 인한 투자, 생산 및 마케팅에 이르기까지 사업의 성과에 미치는 영향은 장기간 지속되기 때문에 합리적인 의사결정이 매우 중요하다. 특히 우리가 잘 알지 못하는 지역에서의 생산입지는 더욱 체계적이고 합리적인 방법을 적용할 필요가 있다. 본 실증연구의 대상 지역인 중국은 2050부터 미국을 앞지르는 세계최대의 경제대국을 표방하고 있는 상황임을 감안할 때, 수출의존도가 매우 높은 한국으로서는 대중국 직접 투자에 대한 연구가 매우 필요하다고 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 생산입지선정에 대한 선행연구에서 중요요인으로 고려된 바 있는 요인들을 정리하고, 한국 및 중국의 기업인들 및 전문가들에 의한 브레인스토밍(brain storming)방식의 설문을 통해서 평가 항목 대상들을 선정하였다. 생산입지 결정을 비롯한 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있는 계층분석과정(AHP: Analytic Hierarchy Process)을 이용하여 양국 기업인들 간 생산입지선정 시 고려하는 요인들에 대한 중요도 인식에 차이가 있는지 실증적으로 규명하기 위해서 중국의 상해 및 심양 지역을 대상으로 실증적인 연구를 하였다.

  • As the 4th industrial revolution emerges, the implementation of smart factories are essential in the manufacturing industry. However, 80% of small and medium-sized enterprises that have introduced smart factories remain at the basic level. In addition, in root industries such as injection molding, PLC and HMI software are used to implement functions that simply show operation data aggregated by facilities in real time. This has limitations for managers to make decisions related to product production other than viewing data. This study presents a method for upgrading the level of smart factories to suit the reality of small and medium-sized enterprises. By monitoring the data collected from the facility, it is possible to determine whether there is an abnormal situation by proposing an appropriate algorithm for meaningful decision-making, and an alarm sounds when the process is out of control. In this study, the function of HMI has been expanded to check the failure frequency rate, facility time operation rate, average time between failures, and average time between failures based on facility operation signals. For the injection molding industry, an HMI prototype including the extended function proposed in this study was implemented. This is expected to provide a foundation for SMEs that do not have sufficient IT capabilities to advance to the middle level of smart factories without making large investments.

셀형제조시스템에서 셀형성과 설비배치를 통합한 수리계획모형에 관한 연구 (Integrated mathematical programming Approach of Cell formation and facility layout in cellular manufacturing)

  • This paper presents the application of integrated mathematical programming approach for the design of cellular manufacturing. The proposed approach is carried out in two phases The first phase concerning exceptional elements(EEs) in cell formation and the second phase facilities layout design. This paper considers the total costs of three important costs for (1) intercellular transfer (2) machine duplication and (3) subcontracting. One of Important issue is the calculation of the number of machines considering the maximum utilization of machines and the available capacity of a machines that can be transferred between cells. Facilities layout design is considered to reflect the real field data taking in to account the operational sequence of the parts to be manufactured. The model is formulated as mixed integer programming that is employed to find the optimal solution.

통합적 휴먼에러 분석 모델을 이용한 자동차 유리공장의 사고 원인 분석 (Analysis of Accidents Causes in an Auto-Glass Manufacturing Company using the Comprehensive Human Error Analysis Model)

  • To prevent similar accidents with the basis of industrial accidents already occurred in industrial plants, it would be possible only after true causes are grasped. Unfortunately, however, most accident investigation carried out with the basis of legal regulation failed to grasp them so that similar accidents have been repeated without cease. This research aimed to find out differences between results from conventional accident investigation and those from human error analysis, and to draw out effective and practical counter-plans against industrial accidents occurred repeatedly in an autoglass manufacturing company. As for analysis, about 110 accident cases that occurred for last 7 years were collected, and by adopting the Comprehensive Human Error Analysis Technique developed by the previous researchers, not direct causes but basic fundamental causes that might induce workers to human errors were sought. In consequence, the result showed that facility factors or environmental factors such as improper layout, mistakes in engineering design, and malfunction of interlock system were authentic major accident causes as opposed to managerial factors such as personal carelessness or failure to wearing personal protective equipments, and/or improper work methods.

온수를 이용한 열전발전기에서 유량변화에 따른 발전 특성 (Characteristic of Electric Generation for the Water Flow Rate in Thermoelctric Generator Using Hot Water)

  • The objective of this study is to develop a thermoelectric generation system which converts unused energy from close-at-hand sources such as garbage incineration heat and industrial exhaust etc. into electricity. This paper presents applicability of a commercially available thermoelectric generator f3r waster heat recovery. The test facility consists of water heater, pump, thermoelectric module and aluminium tubes and hot and cold water is used as heat source and sink fluids. It is shown that the three components of thermoelectric research exist in manufacturing a thermoelectric generator. The first component is fabrication of thermoelectric materials, the second is manufacturing of thermoelectric generator with 32 thermoelectric modules. The last one is characteristic measuring of thermoelectric generator with 32 thermoelectric modules of two types, cooling and power purpose. It was found that the rate of cold and hot water is 25 and 37 liter per minute and the maximum power of thermoelectric generator is 28Watts and its efficiency is 1.04%.
