TEM 정밀 시편 제작용 몰리브덴 합금 미세 고정 부품의 제작을 위한 절삭 가공 방법에 관한 연구 (A study on machining method about molybdenum alloy micro fixing part for TEM precision specimen.)

  • In these days, increase requirement of TEM (Transmission Electro Microscope) in not only scientific field but also industrial field. Because TEM can measure inner-structure of specimen a variety of materials like metal, bio. etc. When use TEM, specimen should be thin about 50nm. So making for thin specimen, use Ion milling device that include specimen holder. The holder generally made of Aluminium Aluminium holder is worn away easily. For this reason, using time of ion milling with aluminum holder is too short. To solve the problem, we replace aluminium holer to molybdenum alloy holder. In this paper, we design molybdenum alloy holer for CAM and modify CAD modeling for effective machining process. So we array a specimen 3 by 4 and setup orientation for one-shot machining process. Next we make a CAM program for machining. we making a decision two machining strategy that chose condition of tool-path method, step-down, step-over. etc. And then conduct machining using CNC milling machining center. To make clear difference between case.1 and case.2, we fixed machining conditions like feed-rate, main spindle rpm, etc. After machining, we confirm the condition of workpiece and analysis the problems case by case. Finally, case.2 work piece that superior than case.1 cutting with WEDM because that method can not ant mechanical effect on workpiece.

  • Selective laser melting(SLM)은 적층 제조 방법 중 하나로서, 분말을 선택적으로 용융하여 기능적이고, 복잡한 형상을 즉각적으로 제작 가능하다는 장점이 있다. Ti-6Al-4V 합금의 경우 높은 융점과 산화문제로 인하여 SLM 공정도입에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구에서는 SLM 장비를 사용하여 Ti-6Al-4V 파트를 성공적으로 적층하였으며 스캔속도, 레이저 파워의 변수를 조절하여 적층 가능 조건을 도출하였다. 또한 적층 된 Ti-6Al-4V 파트의 형상 정밀도, 면밀도 및 기계적특성 평가를 통하여 일반적으로 사용되는 공정조건(스캔 속도 200~700 mm/s)으로 제작된 제작품 물성치와 비교를 통해 Ti-6Al-4V 합금의 고속 적층 영역에서의 최적 공정을 확립하였다.

마찰계수를 고려한 자동차용 에어컨 호스의 체결력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Clamping Force of an Automotive Air-conditioning Hose according to the Friction Coefficient)

  • The automotive air conditioning hose is used for connecting the components of air conditioner in a vehicle. The hose is usually manufactured by the swaging process to connect the rubber hose with the metal fitting at the end of the hose. In case that the clamping force is small, the refrigerant gas in the hose can leak locally under the severe operating circumstances. The practical test of clamping force is performed by means of the measurement of separation force. In this study, the swaging process of a hose is simulated with the finite element method, to investigate the effect of friction coefficient on the clamping force. The contact condition is used in consideration of real manufacturing process, and the material properties for the Mooney-Rivlin model is obtained by the experimental results. The result interpretations are focused on the contact forces, which is displayed graphically with respect to friction coefficient, on the surfaces between the hose and the metal fittings.

신형 수이젝터 개발을 위한 실험연구 (Experimental Study of the Development of New Type Water Ejector)

  • An ejector driven by a liquid is a fluid transfer equipment to be used under a poor suction condition, which means that there exists a possibility to occur a cavitation. It is a highly reliable device because it has no movable part in it, that is only a passive equipment. The ejector is an inevitably necessary one to overcome a poor pumping condition and to mix uniformly two fluids, however it has a low efficiency since it requires a pump for its operation. This study is for the development of a new-type liquid ejector with the application of a nozzle shape alteration, which maximize the suction performance of it. which provides the increased competition with the domestic industries. Also, the increased performance opens a new manufacturing method to use a commercial pipes for the production of an ejector, which is based on a trivial loss of a performance. However, this minor loss can be sufficiently compensated by the increased performance of a new-type ejector. Therefore, the developed ejector by this study can considerably reduce the manufacturing time and cost while its performance is largely increased.

  • Al alloys are useful materials having high specific strength and are used in machining of parts having thin-walled structures for weight reduction in aircraft, automobiles, and portable devices. In machining of thin-walled structures, it is difficult to maintain dimensional accuracy because machining deformation occurs because of cutting forces and heat in the cutting zone. Thus, cutting conditions and methods need to be investigated and cutting signals need to be analyzed to diagnose and minimize machining deformation and thereby enhance machining quality. In this study, an investigation on cutting conditions to minimize machining deformation and an analysis on characteristics of cutting signals when machining deformation occurs are conducted. Cutting signals for the process are acquired by using an accelerometer and acoustic emission (AE) sensor. Signal characteristics according to the cutting conditions and the relation between machining deformation and cutting signals are analyzed.

보일러빌딩 내부 환기현상에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Ventilation Effect in the Boiler Building)

  • Ventilation effect is analyzed for boiler building with multiple heat sources. Air flow inside the boiler building is characterized as turbulent mixed convection. Analysis methodology is set up with two different $k-{\varepsilon}$ type models (standard $k-{\varepsilon}$, RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$). Two different cases with high and low outside temperature are analyzed. In case of high outside temperature condition, mixed convection is well realized inside the boiler building. With different upper louver opening rate, air flow is also well established and proper opening rate is found to meet design limit in case of low outside temperature condition. Difference of analysis results for two different turbulence models are not significant. Therefore, analysis methodology with simple $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model is found to be reliable for the boiler building ventilation analysis. However, more simplified geometrical model is desired to expand its application.

  • Airplane reservoirs made of Al7075 are coated with an anodizing layer to maintain precision, air tightness and corrosion resistance. It is commonly required that the inner surface roughness of the reservoir be less than an average $0.2{\mu}m$ to maintain stable oil pressure. Even though precision polishing is necessary to achieve this quality it is not easy. Inner surface roughness is not uniform and the quality of the product is irregular because most of the work is done by hand. The purpose of this study is to design an exclusive polishing machine and to determine the standard cutting condition and polishing condition necessary for good inner surface roughness and to improve workefficiency.

실험계획법에 의한 진공유리의 모서리부 최적 접합공정조건 결정 (Determination on the Optimal Sealing Conditions of the Vacuum Glass Edge Parts using Design of Experiments Technique)

  • The glass edge sealing is one of the vacuum glazing core manufacturing process and it needs the high reliability for the vacuum keeping. Conventionally, the glass edge sealing had been being researched by the method that pasted the flit on the glass edge part and bonded two sheets of glass. But this way has the defect that can't make tempered glass. In order to remedy it's faults, in this paper, the glass edge was sealed by using the hydrogen mixture gas torch within the furnace. The parameter having an effect on the glass edge sealing through the basic test was set. And the correlation of the thickness of the glass edge and parameter were analyzed through the design of experiment. By using the Taguchi method, the optimal process condition for the glass edge sealing was drawn and the validity was verified.

이미지 프로세싱을 활용한 공구의 마모 측정법 연구 (A Study of Tool Wear Measurement Using Image Processing)

  • Tool wear is considered an important issue in manufacturing and engineering, as worn tools can negatively impact productivity and product quality. Given that the wear status of tools plays a decisive role in the production process, measuring tool wear is a key task. Consequently, there is significant attention in manufacturing fields on the precise measurement of tool wear. Current domestic methods for measuring wear are limited in terms of speed and efficiency, with traditional methods being time-consuming and reliant on subjective evaluation. To address these issues, we developed a measurement module implementing the DeepContour algorithm, which uses image processing technology for rapid measurement and evaluation of tool wear. This algorithm accurately extracts the tool's outline, assesses its condition, determines the degree of wear, and proves more efficient than existing, subjective, and time-consuming methods. The main objective of this paper is to design and apply in practice an algorithm and measurement module that can measure and evaluate tool wear using image processing technology. It focuses on determining the degree of wear by extracting the tool's outline, assessing its condition, and presenting the measured value to the operator.

Properties of Bubble used in Concrete ac cording to Change in Manufacturing Condition

  • This study is a research investigation into the properties of bubbles that affect the characteristics of foamed concrete during its production. The study examined the properties of bubbles based on the manufacturing conditions. To investigate these properties, the selected experimental factors included bead size, the length/diameter ratio of the bubble-generating tube, and compressed air. The experimental design used a design of experiments, and the test results were analyzed using analysis of variance. The foaming agent used to generate bubbles was AES (Alcohol Ethoxy Sulfate), and the method employed for bubble manufacture was the pre-foaming method. In the test results, a significant factor affecting the foaming rate of bubbles was the bead size; the highest foaming rate was observed when using 2mm beads. Bead size also primarily influenced the volume change of the aqueous solution, while other factors did not affect the foaming rate and volume change. None of the factors affected the change in bubble size, but compressed air was considered the main factor affecting bubble size and its change. The foaming rate and volume change of the aqueous solution showed a high correlation with each other. Spherical bubbles in the early stage eventually transformed into angular bubbles. Moreover, over time, it was observed that the bubble size increased.
