SVM 기반 자동 품질검사 시스템에서 상관분석 기반 데이터 선정 연구 (Study on Correlation-based Feature Selection in an Automatic Quality Inspection System using Support Vector Machine (SVM))

  • Manufacturing data analysis and its applications are getting a huge popularity in various industries. In spite of the fast advancement in the big data analysis technology, however, the manufacturing quality data monitored from the automated inspection system sometimes is not reliable enough due to the complex patterns of product quality. In this study, thus, we aim to define the level of trusty of an automated quality inspection system and improve the reliability of the quality inspection data. By correlation analysis and feature selection, this paper presents a method of improving the inspection accuracy and efficiency in an SVM-based automatic product quality inspection system using thermal image data in an auto part manufacturing case. The proposed method is implemented in the sealer dispensing process of the automobile manufacturing and verified by the analysis of the optimal feature selection from the quality analysis results.

  • 제조업에서는 2개 이상의 상관이 있는 품질특성치를 동시에 감시하거나 관리를 하기 위한 필요성이 많이 제기되고 있다. 하지만 복수의 품질특성치를 각각 독립적으로 감시하면 판단의 오류가 발생될 수 있다. 복수의 품질특성치를 동시에 감시하고자 할 때 $X^2$ 또는 $T^2$와 같은 다변량 관리도가 사용되어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 품질특성치를 갖는 용해공정에서 조기에 이상 징후를 파악하기 위하여 다변량 관리도를 이용한 조기경보 시스템을 구현하였다. 용해공정에서 상관성이 있는 다수의 품질특성치를 동시에 관리하기 위해 개발된 이 모듈은 용해공정의 통계적 공정관리 활동에 효율성 및 효과성을 향상시켜 주었다.

Determining Items to be Inventoried in a Manufacturing Process

  • In most manufacturing systems, all customers are expected to take deliveries from inventory. However, in some situations, management may keep inventory only for some customers and not keep inventory for the others. The reason is that they would like to make as much benefit as possible from the first group of customers and this may help sell these customers on further products. This paper attempts to determine the cutoff between the group of customers who are given products immediately when their orders come and other customers who will be served but have to wait for the production of their products. The optimum set of customers to be served immediately and the optimum set of customers who have to wait for the production are found using linear programming to optimize perceived manufacturer benefits measured as the product of the benefit factor and the corresponding profit per customer. The results indicate that it is not necessarily wise to keep inventory for all customers.

  • Generally, the use of robots in manufacturing industry has been increased during the past decade. GMA(Gas Metal Are) welding is an actively growing area and many new procedures have been developed for use with high strength alloys. One of the basic requirement for welding applications is to study relationships between process parameters and bead geometry. The objective of this paper is to develop a new approach involving the use of neural network and multiple regression methods in the prediction of bead geometry for GMA welding process and to develop an intelligent system that enables the prediction of bead geometry using Rapid Prototyping(RP) in order to employ the robotic GMA welding processes. This system developed using MATLAB/SIMULINK, could be effectively implemented not only for estimating bead geometry, but also employed to monitor and control the bead geometry in real time.

  • Most of automotive plastic parts are injection molding products. Inspection of total product is impossible, because number of product to inspect is too many and various. Condition-based Monitoring was proposed to decrease cost and time for inspecting. In this research, a system that predicts quality of part at fabrication point of time, and confirms informations through the internet was developed. Cavity sensors were installed inside of mold, and gathered signals as measuring, and through this process Sensor-based Monitoring system can be observed manufacturing of a part. Monitoring system transmits signals to client through the internet, and finally developed system provides manufacturing informations and predictions of quality as web-based monitoring.

  • This article deals the development of Agile and Intelligent Manufacturing System(AIM) for the assembly automation of a tiny ultrasonic actuator used in camera phones and PDAs. The system consists of multi-vision modules, end-effectors, a standard base frame, dispensers, jigs and modular manipulators. Subsystems are a vision system, a force control system and a virtual reality system. Experimental results show that the assembly process for the small components in the various IT applications can be realized by the AIM system.

  • With a conventional positioning apparatus, it is very difficult simultaneously to achieve desired driving ranges and precision levels at the sub-micrometer level. Generally, a lead screw and friction drive have been used as servo control systems. These have large driving ranges, and high-speed positioning is feasible. In this study, we present a global servo system controlled by a laser interferometer acting as a displacement measurement sensor for achieving positioning accuracy at the sub-micrometer level.

  • Vaccines, especially for viruses, have been produced from egg-based manufacturing process. The method is simple and easy to set up the manufacturing process. However, the method has many problems in quality control, limit of manufacturing capacity, and ethical issues. Over the last decade, an alternative method, which manufactures vaccines using cell culture-based system, has received great attention to overcome the problems in egg-based vaccine production. This article examines current status and perspectives of cell culture-based vaccine production.

OPC UA 기반 스마트팩토리 디지털 트윈 테스트베드 시스템 개발 (Development of OPC UA based Smart Factory Digital Twin Testbed System)

  • The manufacturing industry is continuously pursuing advanced technology and smartization as it converges with innovative technology. Improvement of manufacturing productivity is achieved by monitoring, analyzing, and controlling the facilities and processes of the manufacturing site in real time through a network. In this paper, we proposed a new OPC-UA based digital twin model for smart factory facilities. A testbed system for USB flash drive packaging facility was implemented based on the proposed digital twin model and OPC-UA data communication scheme. Through OPC-UA based digital twin model, equipment and process status information is transmitted and received from PLC to monitoring and control 3D digital models and physical models in real time. The usefulness of the developed digital twin testbed system was evaluated through usability test.
