Polyhydroxyalkanoates[PHAs] are the polyester of hydroxyalkanoates(HAs) synthesized by numerous bacteria as an intracellular carbon and energy storage compound and accumulated as granules in the cytoplasm of the cells under unbalanced growth condition in the presence of excess carbon source. Even though PHAs have been recognized as good candidates for biodegradable plastics, their high price compared with conventional plastics has limited their use in a wide mange of applications. To reduce the high production cost of PHAs, many group of scientists have devoted much efforts to improve productivity by employing various microorganisms and by developing efficient culture techniques. The strategies of producing PHAs to a high concentration with high productivity and their potential applications are reviewed.

This study aims to develop strategic plan for enactment of national license of hospital administrators. To effectively control healthcare cost and mange healthcare organizations, the enactment is an inevitable process. Based on literature reviews, cases of similar licences in advanced foreign countries, and a survey of 200 experts in healthcare fields, this study provide a strategic map how to proceed the enactment.

The impact of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is the global issue over the world. Korean government has presented various policies to induce GHG reduction for the industries with high energy consumption such as power generation and chemistry. Construction sector has produced a large amount of GHG emissions resulted in the energy consumption of heavy equipments and the use of materials. This study aims to suggest the QA (Quality Assurance) and QC (Quality Control) method to identify and quantify the GHG emissions released from heavy equipments in the railroad construction sector. Generally, the accuracy and reliability of GHG inventory is dependent on the data collection. Therefore, it is necessary to mange the detailed statements for the fuel consumption of heavy equipments and the quantity of work in the field. Also, the breakdown of GHG emission sources should be recorded from the design step of railroad infrastructures. Based on these data, the GHG reduction technologies and polices can be applied in railroad construction sector.

According to 2012 OECD environmental report, Korea was ranked as the first country of water stress. Water footprint is a method to calculate water usage during the life cycle of a product from material procurement through production to disposal to recycle and to quantify the load to water resources. In water footprint calculation, water consumption unit is used. Agricultural water use is over 48% so it is urgent to mange that area Korea needs to spread the discussion about water footprint as quickly as possible, for the study to prevent social and environmental problems due to water shortage. This paper, through water footprint calculation and comparison in Chungju and Geochang areas, looks to counter measures for water risk, targeting domestically-produced apple.

Recently there have been a lot of kinds of damages in forest area such as forest fires, forest pest, landslide so that the efficient methods to mange those information and the way to face them are deadly needed. In this study, there were preparing the various vegetation index map and comparing them with the field surveying the tried to figure out which vegetation index algorism is the best proper to present forest fire damaged area. These all were based on Landsat ETM+ satellite image (2000.10.16). The result of this study is to select the high correlation algorism among the various vegetation indexes and then construct the forest fire disaster map, the case of forest fires damaged area.

The mold transformer is a complex and critical component of DC substations in Metro system. In this paper, a cost effective and intelligent condition monitoring system for mold transformers in DC substations was developed. This paper also provides an overview of the management program using PD (partial discharge) data on mold transformers. Prior to application of the proposed system to Metro DC substations, experiments were performed at the metro line substation located in Seoul and presented case studies for the use of the intelligent condition monitoring system for mold transformer in DC substations. The experiment results indicated that the developing system can be need in helping mange the risk of unexpected failure of mold type transformers.

Recently, the services using position information of moving objects is embossed. Theses services needs the moving objects databases to manage moving object data with efficiency. To build the moving object databases, we must develop the moving object engine to mange, store, and search the spatio temporal data of moving object. The moving object engine has to support query syntax to search data that suitable for user need like LBS, Telematics, ITS, vehicle management system. In this paper, we design and implement the moving object engine to support service with moving object data. The moving object engine is able to support system environment that users are able to get the moving object data easily even they don't know complex data structure.

This paper is a part of "The Study of the Traditional Korean Ethnic Farmhousing in Yanbian, China". The purpose of this study focuses on Korean farm house and is twofold: 1) to survey the working space and storage space for tools: 2) to investigate the daily use of space according to the different work activities. It is based on a survey of 124 households in the farm villages of Lunching, China. Survey research methods included a field study in Dallajae. A questionnaire was used to conduct this study. the study found that the working space for the koran farm family is divided into an indoor area and outdoor area. The indoor space includes working areas where the families live their daily life, cook, launder, clean, mange the house keeping, usually stare the grain. The outdoor space includes areas to store the grain, farm tools, rice box, shelves and other things such as sewing machine, iron, and tools used for cleaning the house and for farming. The center of life and work for the farm family was the chung-ji-kan (the combined kitchen and major ondol living room) located in the indoor space.oor space.
