벤처중소기업의 조직여유와 개방형 경영혁신 간의 관계에서 사회적 자본의 조절효과 연구 (The Moderating Effect of Social Capital between Organizational Slack and Managerial Practices for Open Innovation in Venture SMEs)

  • 본 연구는 벤처중소기업의 조직여유와 개방형 경영혁신 간의 관계에서 사회적 자본의 조절효과를 분석하기 위한 실증분석 연구이다. 즉 기업규모, 기업연령, 환경 불확실성을 통제한 뒤, 다음의 두 가지 가설을 검증하였다. 첫 번째 가설은 벤처중소기업의 조직여유(흡수된 여유, 흡수되지 않은 여유)가 개방형 경영혁신에 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 지 여부이다. 두 번째 가설은 벤처중소기업의 조직여유(흡수된 여유, 흡수되지 않은 여유)와 개방형 경영혁신 간의 관계에서 사회적 자본이 긍정적인 조절역할을 수행하는 지 여부이다. 이와 같은 가설을 검증하기 위해 설문지법을 사용하여 유효한 250개의 기업수준 데이터를 확보하였다. 또한 실증분석은 SPSS 18.0을 통해 빈도분석, 타당도분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이러한 실증분석 결과, 두 가지 의미 있는 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 벤처중소기업의 조직여유 유형 중 현금, 유가증권 등과 같은 흡수되지 않은 여유는 개방형 경영혁신에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으나, 초과인력, 초과설비 등과 같은 흡수된 여유는 개방형 경영혁신에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이는 흡수되지 않은 여유가 흡수된 여유에 비해 유연하고 활동적이어서 개방형 혁신에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 의미한다. 둘째, 벤처중소기업에서의 사회적 자본은 유연하게 활용 가능한 흡수되지 않은 여유와 개방형 경영혁신 간의 관계를 긍정적으로 조절하는 반면, 이미 조직에 흡수되어 버린 흡수된 여유와 개방형 경영혁신 간의 관계는 조절하지 못함이 나타났다. 이 연구 결과는 사회적 자본과 개방형 혁신 간의 관계를 연구한 기존 선행연구가 거의 없기에 더욱 의미를 가질 것으로 기대된다.

  • In traditional financial theory, the discount cash flow model(DCF or NPV) operates as the basic framework for most analyses. In doing valuation analysis, the conventional view is that the net present value(NPV) of a project is the measure of the present value of expected net cash flows. Thus, investing in a positive(negative) NPV project will increase(decrease) firm value. Recently, this framework has come under some fire for failing to consider the options of the managerial flexibilities. Real option valuation(ROV) considers the managerial flexibility to make ongoing decisions regarding the implementation of investment projects and the deployment of real assets. The appeal of the framework is natural given the high degree of uncertainty that firms face in their technology investment decisions. This paper suggests an algorithm for estimating volatility of logarithmic cash flow returns of real assets based on the Black-Sholes option pricing model, the binomial option pricing model, and the Monte Carlo simulation. This paper uses those models to obtain point estimates of real option value with the G7- HSR350X(high-speed train).

간호사의 직무만족과 조직몰입에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction of Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify factors that influence the organizational commitment and job satisfaction of nurses. Method: The data were collected from 1st, August until 7th, August, 2005. The subjects were 238 nurses from a general hospital in Busan. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS program. Result: The organizational commitment and job satisfaction was significant positive correlations with flexibility, satisfaction, competence factors and significant negative correlations with empathy factors and centralization factor. The most powerful predictors of Nurses's organizational commitment and job satisfaction was managerial strategy of organizational characteristics. And, satisfaction factors of professional self-concept, affiliative-dominant culture and conservative- dominant culture and innovative-dominant culture were powerful predictor factors. The Other powerful predictors of nurses's job satisfaction were satisfaction factors of professional Self-concept, communication and centralization factor of organizational characteristics, affiliative-dominant culture and conservative-dominant culture, professional image factor of nurse image. Conclusion: This study revealed that important factors for nurses's organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Consequently, the manager should be make effective managerial strategy and encourage that nurse have more satisfy to professional self-concept. And the manager make constant efforts to create an affiliative culture in hospital.

1차 협력사의 구매자 및 공급자와의 전략적·운영적 통합이 생산의 유연성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Strategic and Operational Integration of 1st supplier's buyer and supplier on Production Flexibility)

  • 본 연구는 복잡한 공급사슬에서 1차 협력사의 공급사슬통합에 초점을 두고 있다. 즉, 1차 협력사와 공급기업(2차 협력사)과의 전략적 운영적 통합 그리고 1차 협력사와 구매기업(완제품업체)의 전략적 운영적 통합이 1차 협력사의 운영성과(유연성)에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 규명하고 있다. 이를 위해, 1차 협력사에 해당하는 284개 기업을 대상으로 구조방정식(PLS)을 이용하여 신뢰성, 타당성 및 경로를 검정하였다. 분석결과 1차 협력사와 이해당사자들(완제품업체와 2차 협력사)의 운영적 통합은 생산 프로세스 유연성에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 한편, 1차 협력사와 완제품업체와의 전략적 통합은 생산 유연성에 정의 영향을 미쳤지만, 1차 협력사와 2차 협력사와의 전략적 통합은 생산 유연성에 부정적 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 1차 협력사의 생산 프로세스 유연성은 자사의 생산 유연성에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구의 시사점은 공급사슬통합의 수준과 범위 그리고 기업 성과에 직 간접적인 영향을 세분화하여 규명하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

한국제조기업의 생산전략과 생산혁신활동 (Manufacturing strategy and change programs of Korean firms)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the links between manufacturing strategy and change programs of manufacturing firms in Korea. The nature of our analysis is more descriptive than normative or confirmative. First, we investigate the linkage between manufacturing strategy, manufacturing capability, change programs and performance measurement systems. Secondly, we intend to explore an empirical typology of manufacturing strategy and change programs. The initial findings of the study are as follows: Linkage between manufacturing strategy and change programs of manufacturing firms was not apparent. Flexibility as a strategic priority is positively related to the innovative change programs. There are two distinctive strategies of manufacturing firms in Korea, namely, quality strategy and balanced strategy. We identified three types of change programs, which are incremental change, administrative innovation, and process innovation. Incremental change group has represented low factor score in the change program dimensions. The firms in administrative innovation group mainly depend on information systems and business reengineering. Korean manufacturing firms seem to pursue process improvement by trying simultaneously incremental change in the process, managerial process improvement, and a little bit of innovative change. Performance variable utilization of the firms are not significantly different along with manufacturing strategies and change programs. We found, however, learning and improvement performance dimension is significantly related to flexibility variables. Process innovation group marked high score in usage of learning and improvement indices. The findings of this study seem to have various implications on realigning the manufacturing strategy, change programs, and performance systems in Korean firms.

기회비용개념을 이용한 실물옵션가치분석 (Pricing Real Options Value Based On the Opportunity Cost Concept)

  • Traditionally, companies have been concerned with making an investment decision either to go now or never to go forever. However, owing to the development of the theory of options pricing in a financial investment field and its introduction to the appraisal of real investments in these days, we are now partially allowed to derive the value of a managerial flexibility of real investment projects. In this paper, we derived a general mathematical model to price the option value of real investment projects assuming that they have only one-period of time under which uncertainty exists. This mathematical model was developed based on the opportunity cost concept. We will show a simple numerical example to illustrate how the mathematical model works comparing it with the existing models.

  • Flexibility and efficiency in producing a large number of productions in small-to-medium lot sizes are necessary to be competitive. Many firms are concerned about cellular manufacturing system(CMS) to surmount the abrupt change in management environment and to innovate their manufacturing systems. The purpose of this study 1) align BPR with CMS, 2) present the methodology for constructing a CMS and 3) apply to a firm ad verify it. The results of this paper are to present 1) the systematic methodology for constructing CMS at first in our country, 2) the methodology integrating managerial aspects, technological aspects and behavioral aspects, 3) the customer-oriented methodology based on customer value.

  • Real options provide a new and productive way to view corporate r&d investment decisions. DCF approach is well established and beloved of financial executives, but is known to systematically underestimate investment value under significant uncertainty. Though real options are not inherent in a r&d investment, they can be used to compute the investment value including managerial flexibility like option value. In this paper, we explain how the interval of option value in black-scholes model can be estimated using simulation. We also present a process framework for interval estimation of volatility and efficient of period of investment value. In such a setting, we can obtain the appropriate interval estimation of the expanded investment value.

  • Net Present Value (NPV) criterion has been the most widely used criterion to evaluate investment opportunities. However, the analysis based on the NPV criterion falls to consider the managerial flexibility of deferring decisions until major uncertainty is resolved. Recently, real options method attracted a lot of attention as a Powerful approach to address the problem. If investment decision is deferred, the value of the investment opportunity increases but opportunity cost increases at the same time. Therefore, it is important to decide the optimal timing how long the decision can be deferred. In this paper, we developed a model deciding the optimal decision timing. Using the real options approach, the model derived the optimal deferring time until a decision is made. Then, the model was applied to a Korean mobile telecommunications company who wants to invest on the wireless resale business. We believe that this model would be very useful to overcome the problem of NPV decision criterion. With this approach, we can make contingent decisions based on the observation of uncertainly resolutions.

  • This research is a case study about the personnel management policy of Bachae co., Ltd. Bachae Co., Ltd. suggests as a successful model that by implementing the pro-active personnel management strategy eliminated the seniority, age-limit, academic snobbism, the qualities critical for managerial success are leadership, motivation, decisiveness, flexibility. It gives a solution especially to medium-sized companies suffering the manpower shortage, that the adequate motivation through strong leadership to employee results in not only job satisfaction but also organization absorption. The fact that company care about even the failure staying at their jobs longer without hurting their self pride to be loyal employee is a very demonstrative and great method which motivates middle & midium size of companies how to manage and utilize the human resources.
