  • Today's network consists of a large number of routers and servers running a variety of applications. In this paper, we have designed and constructed the general simulation environment of network security model composed of multiple IDSs agent and a firewall agent which coordinate by CNP (Contract Net Protocol). The CNP, the methodology for efficient integration of computer systems on heterogeneous environment such as distributed systems, is essentially a collection of agents, which cooperate to resolve a problem. Command console in the CNP is a manager who controls the execution of agents or a contractee, who performs intrusion detection. In the knowledge-based network security model, each model of simulation environment is hierarchically designed by DEVS (Discrete Event system Specification) formalism. The purpose of this simulation is the application of rete pattern-matching algorithm speeding up the inference cycle phases of the intrusion detection expert system. we evaluate the characteristics and performance of CNP architecture with rete pattern-matching algorithm.

  • Some types of network nodes such as mobile network node, mobile access point, and ad-hoc network node can be relocated frequently and, by the nature of its usage, are deployed over broad area. In this environment, the network topology is changed constantly since even the manager node as well as the managed nodes can leave or join the management network frequently. The many of existing network management technologies are mostly for small sized and homogeneous networks with static topologies and not proper for the mobile network devices. In this paper, employing peer-to-peer (P2P), the secure group communication techniques, and simple network management protocol (SNMP), we propose a highly secure and available management technique that can be used to manage the mobile network nodes through insecure management network such as the Internet. The proposed technique is implemented to show that it is practically usable.

  • In this paper, we present an integrated management system for WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks). Each sink node of heterogeneous sensor networks is connected with a gateway. By supporting various hardware platforms and networking models, the gateway is able to collect management information from one or more WSNs and store it in a MIB (Management Information Base). The management system obtains management information from the MIB of the gateway by SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and analyzes it. A manager can have access to the management system through the Web wherever the Internet is available and manage WSNs as well as sensor nodes. We implemented the proposed management system and our findings revealed the practicality of this system.

  • Integrated heterogeneous database systems provide the unified interface for users and applications today in order to access the underlying diverse data sources located in different sites. The multiple heterogeneous data sources have the different and specialized data structures and transaction processing capabilities. Because of local autonomy, the local system does not have the capability of cooperation to control the global transaction. Hence designing the global transaction manager with supporting the global serializability is difficult task. To resolve the well-known indirect conflict, we define the global transaction model by using the characteristics of global integrity constraints. And then we propose the site-locking operation and its protocol to manage the global transaction. The correctness and analysis of our site-locking protocol is proved and performance gain over the related other methods is also estimated in this paper.

  • Background: The effect of mobilization on lumbar back pain has been fully described in several clinical aspects, but evidence for muscle strength would be still less clear. Objective: To assess the effect of lumbar mobilization on lower limb strength in healthy individuals. Methods and Analysis: Healthy people aged 18-65 will be included regardless of race or sex. Original peer-reviewed primary reporting randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be included. Electronic databases, such as MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, Pedro, CINAHL, ClinicalTrials.gov will be searched from inception until July 30. Only studies published in English will be included in this review. Two reviewers will complete the screening for eligibility independently, and the other two reviewers will also complete the risks of data extraction and bias assessment independently. Lower Limb strength will be assessed as primary outcome, and particular intervention or participant characteristics will be assessed as the secondary outcomes. Meta-analysis will be conducted using Review Manager 5.3.3, and evidence level will be assessed using the method for Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation. Outcomes will be presented as the weighted mean difference or standardized mean difference with 95% CI. If I2 ≤ 50%, P>.1, the fixed effect model will be used, otherwise, random-effects model will be used. Ethics and dissemination: This review might not be necessary ethical approval because it does not require individual patient's data; these findings will be published in conference presentations or peer-reviewed journal articles. • Background: Prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) and fresh frozen plasma (FFP) are commonly used to manage bleeding in patients during cardiac surgery. However, the relative efficacy and safety of these 2 strategies remain uncertain. Methods: MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane were searched for studies comparing PCC and FFP in patients who underwent cardiac surgery complicated by bleeding. Review Manager (RevMan) ver. 5.4 (Nordic Cochrane Centre, The Cochrane Collaboration) was used for statistical analysis. Binary and continuous outcomes were compared using pooled risk ratios and mean differences, respectively. The meta-analysis protocol was registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews under protocol number CRD42022379144. Results: We included 8 studies with 1,500 patients, of whom 613 (40.9%) received PCC. The mean follow-up period ranged from 28 to 90 days. The PCC group had significantly lower chest tube drainage at 24 hours (mean difference [MD], -148.50 mL; 95% CI, -253.02 to -43.99 mL; p=0.005; I2 =42%). Fewer units of red blood cells (RBCs) were transfused within the first 24 hours (MD, -1.02 units; 95% CI, -1.81 to -0.24 units; p=0.01; I2 =56%), and fewer patients required RBC transfusion within the first 24 hours (risk ratio, 0.85; 95% CI, 0.78-0.93; p<0.007; I2 =45%) in the PCC group. There were no statistically significant differences in secondary outcomes. Nonetheless, a subgroup analysis of randomized controlled trials failed to corroborate the results obtained from the main analysis. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that PCC can be effective, without increased adverse events, when compared with FFP in patients undergoing cardiac surgery complicated by bleeding.

  • As the dependency to network system and demands of efficient storage systems rapidly grows in every networking filed, the current trends initiated by explosive networked data grow due to the wide-spread of internet multimedia data and internet requires a paradigm shift from computing-centric to data-centric in storagesystems. Furthermore, the new environment of file systems such as NAS(Network Attached Storage) and SAN(Storage Area Network) is adopted to the existing storage paradigm for Providing high availability and efficient data access. We describe the design issues and system components of SANiqueTM, which is the cluster file system based on SAN environment. SANiqueTM has the capability of transferring the user data from the network-attached SAN disk to client applications directly We, especially, present the protocol and functionality of the global buffer manager in our cluster file system.

  • Generally EPC management system was simply management concept through the normal S/W. Our LNG Plant R&D Center wanted to the excellent management system from the S/W. So We developed the R&D management S/W and EPC management S/W Built in the Microsoft Project Server. Our system made to the customer Requirements. It was just User Interface protocol. But User Interface has more Weak position, because it makes from the MS Project Servers. Ms Projector server make easy to treat the project on the WBS. EPC parts mixed WBS and normally Ms SQL Database. It has very complicated Structures. Now We planed to make the general Database and Ms Project Server, It' means to the S/W Developer and Schedule Manager ability. We will successfully integrate R&D management system and EPC system and other softwares.

  • This paper researches and evaluates a bandwidth reallocation mechanism for efficient DiffServ QoS support in MPLS networks by monitoring the network traffic status and reallocating unused bandwidth. While the Differentiated Services in MPLS Networks architecture provides QoS management through the RSVP resource reservation, this mechanism is based on a static provisioning of resource. But this approach can lead to waste bandwidth in some service classes or, leave some service classes' resource starved. This paper presents the bandwidth reallocation dynamically based on network traffic status for bandwidth usage maximization.
