  • Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between oral health professionals' knowledge, attitude, and practice with regard to infectious waste management and to identify related factors influencing it. Methods: The study comprised of 219 oral health professionals from select dental clinics and public health centers recruited between August 25, 2016 and September 5, 2016, who agreed to participate in the study with full understanding of the study objectives. A self-reported questionnaire was administered, which consisted of 22 items on knowledge of infectious waste management, 9 items on attitude, and 16 items on practice. Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analyses. Results: The age, knowledge, and clinical attitude of oral health professionals significantly correlated with waste management practice. Specifically, infectious waste management practice improved with increasing age, a greater level of knowledge, and a more positive clinical attitude. Additionally, the standardized regression coefficient demonstrated that, of these three factors, clinical attitude more strongly correlated with effective waste management practice, followed by age and level of knowledge. Conclusions: These results indicated that oral health professionals had a low level of knowledge regarding infectious waste management, and a more positive clinical attitude resulted in better practices. Therefore, the development of detailed and active education guidelines and strategies are needed to enhance the attitude, knowledge, and practice of oral health professionals with regard to infectious waste management.

For the complete non-face-to-face product development practice, it utilized prototype development using a 3D paper model, an online class management system and social media for classes and meetings. As a result of applying the non-face-to-face method, product developments of 26 practice teams have been completed without any failures. Therefore, through this study, the author can confirm that it is possible to provide the complete non-face-to-face collaborative product development practice based on product data management systems.

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to explore knowledge, barriers, and self-efficacy in relation to pain management practice, and to identify factors influencing pain management practice in pediatric nurses. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted. The participants were 237 pediatric nurses from a metropolitan city. Data were analyzed using t-test or analysis of variance and Pearson correlation and multiple regression analyses. Results: The mean percentage of correct answers on the children's pain management knowledge scale was 58.8%. Child and parent related factors were the main barriers for pain management. Self-efficacy to assess children's pain across developmental stages was particularly low. Pain management practices for assessing pain and non-pharmacological interventions were relatively low. Factors significantly affecting children's pain management practice were current conditions of work department and self-efficacy in pain management, and these factors accounted for 37.5% of the variance in pain management practice. Conclusion: The results suggest that an integrative education program needs to be developed to improve self-efficacy in children's pain management practice. Moreover, good communication, building cooperative relationships with children and parents, and a more active role by pediatric nurses are required to carry out more effective pain management.

This study is to practice prescription information management for the functionality of EMR certification standards through the health and medical information management practice program. The data management practice according to the EMR certification criteria consists of medicaiton master management and medicaiton name inquiry, medicaiton prescription inquiry, previous medication prescription inquiry after converting medical care information, examintaion result inquiry when administering medicine, examination prescription records inquiry. Additionally, dietary prescription records, other prescription records, return reason inquiry when administering medicine is stopped are included. Accordingly, using the prescription management database of the MS-ACCESS-based health care information management education system, a SQL statement was written that can inquire the contents of the prescription information management certification standards. • In this study, two things were analyzed for Korean Standards certification factory review evaluation items. First, it was examined whether there is a difference between the Practice of factory review evaluation items and Post-Management according to the change in perception of the factory review evaluation items of Korean Standards certification personnel. Second, the moderating effect of the Korean Standards certification personnel's perception of the effect of the Practice of the factory review evaluation items of Korean Standards certification personnel on Post-Management was verified. Although there is a statistically significant difference between Practice and Post-Management according to changes in perception of Korean Standards personnel, there is no statistically significant difference in the impact (slope) of Practice on Post-Management according to changes in perception of Korean Standards certification personnel. As the perception of factory review evaluation items increases, the Practice and Post-Management of factory review evaluation items are increasing, but the impact of the Practice of factory review evaluation items on Post-Management does not affect it. In order to further advance Korean Standards certification, which plays an important role in maintaining the quality level of products produced by companies, efforts to raise the level of perception of Korean Standards certification personnel are considered necessary.
