To satisfy the needs of customers, firms must supply customers with products of high quality. This requires firms establish a quality management system which pursues customer satisfaction in a business strategy. Quality management must be connected with the strategic chain and the firm can obtain excellent performances only when top management leadership which places people over profit is exercised. The purpose of this study is to analyse whether elements of strategic quality management has any effect on quality and business performances. A questionnaire was used for the survey. In this study, it is showed that elements of strategic quality management(strategy, leadership, customer satisfaction, quality improvement activity, technological innovation, shop floor management, employee participation) are positively correlated with the quality and business performances. This tells firms have to carry out the strategic quality management effectively based on the strategic chain and emphasizing leadership.
Purpose: This study was to provide preliminary data for degree of self-leadership in pregnant women. Method: Participants were 148 pregnant women who visited 2 university hospitals in Taegu city. Data collection was done from April 16 to May 22, 2005 by self administered questionnaires. Results: The mean score for self-leadership of pregnant women was 3.27 and the thought self-leadership of subconcept was the highest score. The highest mean score in self-leadership was found in 'When I'm faced with a problem during the pregnancy period' and 'I tend to look for the opportunity it contains rather than drawbacks'. The lowest mean score in self-leadership was found in 'I often practice health management before I actually do them'. There was the highest positive correlation between self-leadership and natural reward. Conclusion: This study had highest positive correlation between self-leadership and natural reward. Considering this, self-leadership is an effective nursing strategy to promote natural reward. Further studies are necessary to identify the level of self-leadership in pregnant women.

Teachers play a key role in influencing students' school lives, but many researchers have tried to improve school satisfaction in various aspects. And counselors are a special type of Chinese university teachers, and not only have the characteristics of university teachers, but also have daily administrative management functions related to students' school life. In this paper, we demonstrated the effect of college counselors' ethical leadership and authentic leadership on school satisfaction among Chinese university students. In addition, it also verified the mediating effect of organizational identification in this process. As a result of empirical analysis, ethical leadership have both positive effect on organizational identification and school satisfaction. Similarly, authentic leadership also have positive impact on organizational identity and school satisfaction. In addition, organizational Identification has a positive effect on school satisfaction. Furthermore, organizational identification has also been proven to mediate the relationship between both two types of leadership and school satisfaction. Finally, we found that authentic leadership was more influential than ethical leadership in increasing school satisfaction levels.

The article is devoted to current problems of the concept leadership. The essence of the concept of "leadership" is considered and leadership theories. The authors of the article conducted a multifaceted analysis of leadership theories, analyzed the factors of their formation and identified their relationship. Also, the reasons for the difference and connection between leadership and leadership. Styles were presented leadership and their role in building effective leadership. To form the basis of effective leadership was compared to the main criteria inherent in this theories. The objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of character traits of employees of consulting firm on job satisfaction through self-leadership and self-efficacy. The proposed model is based on big5 model of Coasta and McCrae(1992). To validate the proposed model, structural equation model is analyzed with the valid 140 questionnaires collected from Seoul and nearby cities by using Smart PLS 3.0. The results are as follows. First, extraversion has a positive effect on self-leadership, not on self-efficacy. Second, agreeableness has a positive effect on self-leadership, not on self-efficacy. Third, conscientiousness has a positive effect on both self-leadership and self-efficacy. Fourth, emotional stability does not have a positive effect on both self-leadership and self-efficacy. Fifth, openness to experience has a positive effect on both self-leadership and self-efficacy. Sixth, self-leadership has a positive effect on self-efficacy. Seventh, self-leadership has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Last, self-efficacy has a positive effect on job satisfaction. This research proves that, while the character of employees generally forms the meaningful relationship with self-leadership and self-efficacy, in some entries of Big 5 character elements it has still produced the different results with the previous researches, which betrays that the relationship between one's character and self-leadership and self-efficacy can differ according to the characteristic of jobs. It requires further study to prove how each of Big 5 elements differently effects on self-leadership and self-efficacy according to diverse characteristic of jobs.
Purpose: This paper investigated the effects of issue leadership on employees' work performance. It also explored the mediating role of job challenge in the above relationship. We also tested the moderating effect of psychological ownership in the relationship between issue leadership and job challenge. Finally, this paper examined the moderated mediation effect of psychological ownership in the course of affecting issue leadership on work performance via job challenge. Methods: This paper used a cross-sectional design with questionnaires administered to 390 employees working in Korean firms. It applied an hierarchical and multi-regression analysis by using SPSS 22.0 and Hayes' Macro Process to test the proposed hypotheses including a moderated mediation model. Results: As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the issue leadership had a positive effect on the work performance. Second, it was also found that issue leadership had a positive effect on the job challenge. In addition, job challenge was found to positive mediating effect in the relationship between issue leadership and work performance. Third, we found that the psychological ownership positively moderated the relationship between issue leadership and job challenge. Finally, the moderated mediating effect was found by confirming that the higher the degree of psychological ownership, the stronger the effect of issue leadership on the work performance via job challenge. Conclusion: This paper contributes to the leadership and work performance studies by identifying the role of issue leadership enhancing employee work performance while confirming connection mechanism and boundary conditions strengthening the positive effect of issue leadership on employee work performance.
Purpose - This study aims to investigate a solution to reduce the negative reactions arising from the performance of duties or the job distress of workers in the service industry, because human resource statistics regarding workers in the service sector have been unreported, while concerns regarding exposure to emotional exertion and poor working conditions have been continuously increasing. Research design, data, and methodology - This study specifically focused on workers in highway service areas. It differs from previous studies because it involves the perspective of the person-organization fit and regards workers' cognition of leaders through the psychological distance toward the leader and the contact frequency between workers and leaders within the framework of the leader-individual fit. Moreover, this study highlights the role of the self-leadership of workers as an important factor that becomes manifested in the individual-level fit to the organization. Hence, this study investigates whether the positive role of the above factors, in turn, could reduce job distress. Workers from highway service areas in Gyeonggi-do province provided data; 141 valid questionnaires are collected. SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 19.0 were used to test the reliability and validity of constructs. Simple regression, multiple regression, and 3 step mediation tests were used to test the hypotheses after the correlation tests. Results - Results indicated that leader-member contact frequency and psychological distance have negative effects on job distress but positive effects on self-leadership. A mediation test revealed that self-leadership, in the relationships between contact frequency and job distress and between psychological distance and job distress, resulted in partial mediation and full mediation, respectively. Conclusions - The result can be understood through two different possible explanations. First, service area workers generally possess a positive perspective toward their leaders. This can be interpreted to mean that increased contact frequency and psychological distance would be considered as supports from the leader, rather than intrusive controls or management schemes. Therefore, the management in highway service areas should invest efforts in increasing contact frequency as well as maximizing psychological similarities by adopting the viewpoints of workers in terms of moral and ethical management, to reduce the workers' job distress. The results relating to self-leadership also indicate that increased contact frequency must be accompanied by intentions for the effective promotion of workers' self-leadership. It also signifies the necessity of a strategic approach by leaders to induce workers to perceive "in-group"ness as suggested both by the similarity-attraction theory and by the social identity theory. In addition, the results of the mediation test of self-leadership indicate that because workers' self-leadership activates upon increased contact frequency by the leader, it should not be a means of control and should not be utilized only from the perspective of management. It is also suggested that strategies such as transfer of authority could have a positive effect in promoting the expansion of self-influence from workers.
This research is designed for studying between transformational leadership and behavior of subordinate. We took a practical analysis with conception of leader acceptance to search function between transformational leadership and self-efficacy. For practical proof of this research, we look hypothetical inspection with collected data after posing a question with medical Staff of 459. The practical analysis of this research is as below. First, We could know that transformational leadership affect partially positive effect to self-efficacy of subordinate. That is, as a result for researching into the influence of subordinate to self-efficacy, setting each element which forms transformational leadership as hypotheses, charismatic behavior and intellectual stimulation of leader's have an positive effect on self-efficacy of subordinate. However, there is no relation between individualized consideration and self-efficacy of subordinate. Second, we analyzed effect of subordinate's acceptance of leader between transformational leadership and acceptance degree of leader, we could know that all of them which is Two subordinate purpose of transformational leadership have a controling effects as there must be existed differences on self-efficacy before and after interaction. It is also another suggestion of this research to provide a clue to next research which is related with the importance of acceptance and it, conception, because we find the fact there could be existed the difference according to acceptance degree of leader.
The purpose of this research was to investigate relations among empowering leadership, knowledge sharing, intrinsic motivation and trust on supervisors. In addition, the purpose of this study was to investigate if trust on supervisors would mediate the effect of empowering leadership on outcome variables. A research model and hypotheses were developed to examine the theoretical research questions. To test the model proposed, survey data from 44 companies in various industries were collected by distributing 510 questionnaires to team member. The final set of data utilized to test hypotheses included 470 responses. The empirical results of the analysis are as follow. Empowering leadership was shown to influence followers' knowledge sharing. Meantime, empowering leadership was influencing intrinsic motivation and it was positively related to followers' trust on their supervisors. Finally, trust on supervisors partially mediated between empowering leadership and outcome variables. We found that empowering leadership was an important factor in a way that it closely related to variables of organizational competency, such as knowledge sharing, intrinsic motivation and trust in organization.
