아파트 단지의 녹지조성에 대한 주민의식과 가상평가법 적용에 관한 연구 (The Residents' Perception and the Application of Contingent Valuation Method for Green Areas in Apartment Housing Blocks)

  • This study is designed to derive a cost estimation method for the management of green areas in apartment housing blocks. For this purpose, quantity of green areas, their usages, management techniques were analyzed through a survey of residents. In this process, contingent valuation method(CVM) is utilized to evaluate the cost of green areas. The survey was conducted for about two weeks in June of 2002. The amount of willingness to pay(WTP) for green area management is calculated by the CVM program. The findings are as follows; First, the residents want more green areas in their apartment blocks, as well as in the surrounding urban areas, due to the shortage of green areas in their living environments. Second, the residents' opinion on green area is summarized as that of natural environment protectionist - it helps living environment to be more amenable and contributes the preservation of urban and global environments. This fact can be interpreted as the peoples profound recognition toward green areas. Third, the contingent valuation method(CVM) is suitable to evaluate WTP for management costs of green areas. Fourth, more than half of the residents(61.6%) agreed upon the costs of green area supply and management. calculated by the CVM. Estimated WTP is ₩ 1,900~2,400 per month per household.

  • Recently the Korean government provided forest recreation areas through developing evaluation index of rural areas amenity resources, forest therapy and recreational forest for revitalization of rural areas and national health promotion. However, what the public wants is just one place which includes all recreational facilities. GRAT tourism means Green, Rest and Therapy-Tourism. It is a new concept of recreational forests. This study defines GRAT-Tourism, the new concept of recreational activity and discusses the development of the GRAT-Tourism Evaluation Index.

녹색도서관 인증을 위한 평가항목 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Developing the Evaluation Items for the Green Libraries Certification)

  • 본 연구에서는 친환경 녹색도서관을 인증함에 있어 도서관의 친환경성을 평가할 수 있는 평가지표를 개발하여 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 녹색도서관 관련 문헌 및 사례조사를 통해 도서관 녹색요소를 추출하였으며, 평가요소에 대한 도서관 직원들의 인식을 설문조사하였다. 최종적으로 11개의 평가영역, 31개의 평가항목, 135개의 평가지표를 가진 녹색도서관 평가지표를 개발하였다. 11개의 평가영역은 토지이용 및 교통, 에너지 및 환경오염 방지, 재료 및 자원, 물순환 관리, 유지관리, 생태환경, 실내환경, 도서관 자원, 친환경 교육프로그램 및 캠페인, 직원 및 운영, 전산화 등이다.

The First Global Management Plan for the Urban Landscape Restructure in Tokyo

  • The case for study in this paper is the Main Plan and Management for the Fukutoshin; the restructure of Nishi Shinjuku, This plan was first outlines in 1960, and includes a vast area of 96 ha for redevelopment. It aims to create a totally new center in the city. This was the first case in Japan, and in the world of a plan of these magnitudes. involving urban landscape restructuring from three points: Landscape (open spaces for public use: the Shinjuku Central Park and the surrounding area of the buildings), transport and commercial building developments. The Landscape plan for the green areas was decided in a way to compensate the population of the area and the visitors. As a rule, high-rise building constructions are placed each one in single lots and are surrounded by open spaces and greenery. Pedestrain areas are widened and also connected by bridges in a way to allow free circulation, and interconnection between the constructions and the green areas. Another important factor is the role that Private Corporation, and public interest plays. Joining these two forces has allowed the concretization of this project. This interpolation between public and private roles was an innovation in Japan, and it also the key for the concretion of the project. The historical review of the process and management of this project help us to put into perspective the introduction of new concepts and ideas, which were not related at that time to traditional Japanese Landscaping. Furthermore we are better able to understand the substantial increase in the percentage of land dedicated to green areas in contrast to the typical standards of Japanese cities.

도시녹지의 기능 및 효과에 대한 실증적 연구 - 도시 가로수를 중심으로 - (An Empirical Study on the Function and Effect of Urban Openspace - Focusing on Urban Roadside Trees -)

  • The objective of this study is to review and verify whether the functions and effect of roadside trees generally hewn in theory are actually realized in urban roads and how well they are performed if the function and effect are realized. The study was conducted with a focus on 3 functions and effects including roadside tree's urban landscape improvement function (green area visibility ratio), effect of introducing green area within a city, and urban green network building function. The major study results are as follows: First, the average green area visibility ratio of 41 study areas is currently about 25.90%. The green area visibility ratio of commercial area within downtown was lowest among 5 road types. It showed that it is possible to raise the average green area visibility ratio up to 32.49% through roadside tree management and additional plantation. Second, in a section between Paldal Mountain and Suwon City Hall where there is no forest fragments and parks at all, a green area of 4,826 roadside trees represented 2.4% of total area and served as the only linear green area. Third, an analysis of 15 cities in Kyonggi province showed that urban forests are concentrated in outskirts. The suey showed that because forest fragments and parks exist in a form of points in urban areas, roadside trees are the only green areas that link each other and build a network.

The Effect of Green Transformation on the Operating Efficiency of Green M&A Enterprises: Evidence from China

  • Environmental protection has been infused into the development of numerous fields by the Chinese government. The government's implementation of green development has also shifted its focus to green transformation and governance of highpolluting companies. In the context of green and sustainable development, this study employs DEA data envelopment analysis to compare the operating efficiency of listed firms that implemented Green Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) in China in 2018. The conclusions of this study are as follows: First, China's green M&A enterprises are unevenly dispersed among the country's east, middle, and western regions. Second, compared to before the implementation of Green M&A, operational efficiency has improved in most industries. Third, the difference in Green M&A across industries is generally favorable, showing that most organizations have improved their operational performance as a result of Green M&A implementation. In 2018, however, the gap in operating efficiency is more negative. Fourth, whereas the eastern and western areas' operational efficiency has improved as a result of Green M&A, the central region's has not. Based on this conclusion, this study makes recommendations for China's future sustainable development of heavily polluted firms.

Joint Development of Park and Green Space - A New Pattern and Key Points for Developing Parks and Greens Space in Shanghai-

  • Nowadays the parks in Shanghai tend to develop towards two directions. Small and medimn parks are being gradually transformed from closed management to open management, while large ones emphasize their nature of theme and nature of functions. Simultaneously, the number of large and open public green spaces has been significantly increased. Although the public green space does not adopt the management pattern for parks, there is almost no difference between public green space and ordinary parks so far as the functions and scales are concerned. Due to the fact that there is no obvious boundary between a public park and a public green space, this paper raises a suggestion to coordinate continuously their management and functions so that the distribution of and the connection between the urban green spaces can be more rational and more definite and a sound green network can be formed. Starting from the viewpoint of emphasizing accessibility to green spaces and enhancing the angle of linking green spaces, we aim at transforming a park system to a multifunctional green system, extending the effects and service radius of large green spaces, and strengthening the internal connections with the surrounding areas so that a high-quality green space can be formed with the connection of the green space network.

대구시 공원녹지에 대한 시민 만족도의 경시적 변화 분석 (Analysis of Changes in Citizen Satisfaction with Parks & Green Spaces in Daegu City, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 대구광역시의 공원녹지를 대상으로 시민들의 공원녹지에 대한 만족도의 변화를 동일한 측정도구를 활용한 결과인 1986년도와 2001년도 및 2010년도 조사 자료들을 비교 분석함으로써 그 경시적인 변화를 살펴보고자 하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가장 최근 조사인 2010년의 만족도 평균치들이 전반적으로 보통(4.0)수준을 상회하며 가장 높았고, 전반적으로 약간 불만족(3.0)에 가까운 수준이었던 1986년도에 비해 현저하고 지속적인 만족도 개선이 나타났으며, 3개 조사 시기 공히 시 전역 공원녹지에 대한 만족도가 거주지 주변 공원녹지에 대한 만족도보다 약간 높게 나타났음을 볼 수 있었다. 둘째, 지표별로는 녹지의 다양성 지표에 대한 만족도 향상이 가장 두드러진 반면 녹지공간의 시설물의 관리 상태에 대한 만족도가 가장 부진하게 나타났다. 셋째, 요인분석 결과, 만족도 평가인자는 기능별 만족도와 물리적 조건이 하나의 인자로 나타났고, 지표별 만족도 변수들이 하나의 인자로 묶여 전체적으로 2개의 인자 집단으로 분류되었으며, 회귀모델에서는 전만적인 만족도를 결정짓는 주요 변수들로 녹지의 다양성, 수림의 관리상태, 녹지공간의 양적 수준, 정적 레크리에이션 기능, 시설물 관리상태, 배치의 체계성, 녹지공간의 질적 수준, 녹지공간의 규모, 크기 등의 순서로 채택되었으며, 이들 8개 변수들의 결정계수($R^2$)는 0.468이었다. 넷째, 녹지 유형별 만족도는 가로변 녹지(가로수)에 대한 만족도가 가장 현저하게 개선되었고, 공업단지 등 공장지역의 녹지에 대한 만족도가 가장 불량하게 평가되었다. 섯째, 녹지유형들에 대한 요인분석 결과, 도시공원계 녹지, 시설계 녹지, 지구(district)계 녹지 등의 3개 인자 집단으로 분류되었다.

Satellite-based Assessment of Ecosystem Services Considering Social Demand for Reduction of Fine Particulate Matter in Seoul

  • Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) has been the biggest environmental problem in Korea since the 2010s. The present study considers the value of urban forests and green infrastructure as an ecosystem service (ES) concept for PM2.5 reduction based on satellite and spatial data, with a focus on Seoul, Korea A method for the spatial ES assessment that considers social demand variables such as population and land price is suggested. First, an ES assessment based on natural environment information confirms that, while the vitality of vegetation is relatively low, the ES is high in the city center and residential areas, where the concentration of PM2.5 is high. Then, the ES assessment considering social demand (i.e., the ESS) confirms the existence of higher PM2.5 values in residential areas with high population density, and in main downtown areas. This is because the ESS of urban green infrastructure is high in areas with high land prices, high population density, and above-average PM2.5 concentrations. Further, when a future green infrastructure improvement scenario that considers the urban forest management plan is applied, the area of very high ESS is increased by 74% when the vegetation greenness of the green infrastructure in the residential area is increased by only 20%. This result suggests that green infrastructure and urban forests in the residential area should be continuously expanded and managed in order to maximize the PM2.5 reduction ES.

식생블록(그린스톤)에서의 식물생육에 관한 연구 - 관수 유무와 방향에 따른 생육비교를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Growth of Plants with Vegetation Blocks(Green Stone))

  • The study was conducted to present the criteria of plant selection and planting design pattern suitable for the vegetation blocks which are becoming more popular for the facade greenery in urban areas. The main results are summarized as follows. 1. Under irrigated conditions, the plant grew better than that of unirrigated conditions and herbs grew better than shrubs. In selection of shrubs, it would be more proper to consider the size and depth of the pockets. 2. Under unirrigated conditions, Sedum middendorffianum and foreign sedums grew well, so it can be concluded that sedums can grow at low management condition. And, Hosta longipes and Aceriphyllum rossii could be survive at low management conditions only if irrigation was conducted at dry season. But, shrubs needed irrigation management for survival at vegetation blocks. 3. The results of this study, it can be concluded that greenery of walls and retaining walls might be effective for the creation of green space, improvement of urban landscapes, and the creation of diverse biotopes in urban areas with vegetation blocks.
