The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of controlling consulting service quality in relation to the factors of success and performances of the social enterprises. In order to achieve the objective of this study, securement of market competitiveness, entrepreneurship and network activity was defined to be the factors of success and the research model and hypothesis was set according to the theoretical basis of the factors of success, performances and the quality of consulting services. The results showed that first, securement of market competitiveness, entrepreneurship and network activities as factors of success all had significant effects on performances pertaining to both profit-making and public interest, having great influence on the securement of market competitiveness of the social enterprises. Secondly, as a result of analyzing the effects of controlling the quality of consulting services in relation to the relationship between the factors of success and management performances of the social enterprises, network activity showed to have significant effect on performances pertaining to both profit-making and public interest. Through this study, the importance and the necessity of the improvement of consulting services and network activities of social enterprises were highlighted and the necessity of a new consulting principle in the consulting industry that can be specialized to social enterprises is proposed.

This study is for analyzing the mgmt performances of Korean tourism firms, operating as preparing strategically against FTA, one of the most importantly external environment in int'l mgmt since in the mid of 1990s. The main purpose can be mentioned to test empirically some relations between the mgmt performances of Korean tourism ones and the economic effects originated from FTA. The dependent variables of mgmt performances are classified with sales, profits and mgmt satisfaction, while the independent one regarding with economic effects from FTA are sorted based on the previous studies with the 2 following factors like direct with inbound/outbound and indirect effects. This study is conducted in two stages. Firstly, the research model is designed by the reviewing relevant theories and previous studies. Secondly, the survey of Korean tourism firms engaging in mgmt activities is implemented by collecting questionnaires. And for testing the hypothesis, the analyzing tools are used for correlation, reliability, validity and multi-regression on SPSS 12.0 and the path analysis of structural equation modeling is activated with AMOS 11.0.

For this purpose we studied the fctors to influence the performances of Quality Circle activities, and based upon this result we suggested the improvement method of Quality circle activities. This study will give one way of activating the Quality Circles of our companies.

It is wellknown that the left truncated exponential distribution with positivity constraint on the location parameter is appropriate as a lifetime distribution model, In this paper, some Bayes estimators of the parameters and reliability for the left truncated exponential lifetime distribution when an unidentified-failure outlier is included and it is excluded in the exchangeable outlier model are proposed, and the performances of these proposed Bayes estimators are also discussed.

Several sample statistics to simultaneously monitor both means and variances for multivariate quality characteristics under multivariate normal process are proposed. Performances of multivariate Shewhart schemes and cumulative sum(CUSUM) schemes are evaluated for matched fixed sampling interval(FSI) and variable sampling interval(VSI) feature. Numerical results show that multivariate CUSUM charts are more efficient than Shewhart charts for small or moderate shifts and VSI feature is more efficient than FSI feature.

The tests in a battery can be performed in different sequences, and different sequential testing strategies will have exactly the same overall performances for that battery, but at different expected total costs and expected time consumptions. By using a multiobjective dynamic programming model, we are able to find all noninferior testing strategies for a given battery of tests and a stopping rule.

A predictive functional relationship model is presented for the calibration problem in which the standard as well as the nonstandard measurements are subject to error. For the estimation of the relationship between the two measurements, the ordinary least squares and maximum likelihood estimation methods are considered, while for the prediction of unknown standard measurementswe consider direct and inverse approaches. Relative performances of those calibration procedures are compared in terms of the asymptotic mean square error of prediction.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of lifelong learners' learned helplessness and failure tolerance on academic achievement and job performance. The result of this empirical study exhibits that learned helplessness has negative effects on their academic achievement and job performance. Failure tolerance, however, has positive effects on their academic achievement and job performance. In addition, their academic achievement has mediated between learned helplessness and/or failure tolerance, and job performance. This study suggests that lifelong learners' positive response to failures is helpful for both learning and working performances.

Exponetially weighted moving average(EWMA) control chart to simultaneously monitor correlation coefficients of several correlated quality variables under multivariate normal process are proposed. Performances of the proposed control charts are measured in terms of average run length(ARL) by simulation. Numerical results show that smaller values of smoothing constant are more efficient in terms of ARL.
