PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용한 제주도 전력계통 기본 모델링 (Basic Modeling of Jeju Power System using PSCAD/EMTDC)

  • In this paper, we present basic modeling of Juju power system using PSCAD/EMTDC. In detail, models of bipolar HVDC system, power transmission line, basic thermal power plant, load, and wind farm have been developed for Jeju power system. For evaluating basic dynamic behavior, we tested the system with a simple scenario and the test result showed acceptable response.

  • The coal mill used in the coal-fired power plants is modeled in view of the controller design rather than the educational simulator. The coal mass flow and the outlet temperature are modeled by reinvestigating the mass balance and heat balance models physically. The archived data from a plant database are utilized to identify the model parameters. It can be seen that the simulated model outputs are well matched with the measured ones. It is also expected that the proposed model is useful for the controller design.

  • Tidal power station is using the difference of the ebb and flow and the single action tidal power is dependent on tide amplitude and basin volume. Therefore the inflow of basin in rainy season has also effect on the daily power. Also if operating units are changed then starting head too changed. Therefore the number of units are very important for the optimization model. According to our study the primary point when we make a determination of optimization is starting head and governorl control mode. On this study optimization model for tidal power station is considered all of this conditions.

  • Composite insulators are rapidly replacing their porcelain counterparts in electrical substation applications. The composite insulator provide technical and safety ad vantages over other types of insulator. These insulators consist of a FRP(Fiber-reinforced polymer), with two metal flanges and silicone rubber. In this paper, we have investigated the influence of electric field different shaped silicone shed under $SF_6$ gas. As a result, shape of silicone rubber does not effected a electric field. However, the shape of shed can be decided the creepage distance.

  • The study about three-phase synthetic making test using DC power has been performed in order to increase the making test capacity on Vacuum Circuit Breaker. And, it made possible to solve the limitations that short-circuit testing facilities can not fulfill the testing requirements of VCB exceeding three-phase 36[kV] 31.5[kA]. By using DC power and high speed spark-gap switch, this method made the equivalence with the pre-arc that occurred during the making process under the fault condition of power system. As results, KERI(Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute) could have capacity to carry out type test for VCB under three-phase 52[kV] 40[kV], which satisfies the IEC Standard.

  • For stabilization and improving power factor in the power lines, various Static Var Compensators(SVC) have been considered to be installed and partly applicated already. With all these merits of the SVC, it stil has demerits, principally evoking harmonic problems. So far, many harmonic reduction type inverters have been used in various parts. In this paper, the reactive power is controlled by amplitude of the output voltage. This paper propose that the multiple voltage source inverter have controllable power factor made by load vary at receive-stage as lagging and leakage control. The theoretical analysis on this system was confirmed through the computer simulation and the experiments.

  • HTS(High Temperature Superconductivity) Power Cable has a different characteristic with conventional distribution line, so installation and operation condition are different. In this paper, internal fault current characteristic s of HTS power cable was analyzed. For this, EMTDC model component of HTS power cable was developed. The developed EMTDC model component is applied to distribution line, then authors analyze internal current characteristics of HTS Power cable when fault occurred.

  • Interstate electric power system, as an alternative for energy cooperation under regional economic bloc, has been hotly debated before progressing the restructure in electric power industry and rapidly expanded in many regions after 1990s. Especially, since northeast asia has strong supplementation in resource, load shape, fuel mix etc., interconnection of electric power systems in this region may bring considerable economic benefits. For the economic analysis, we implement ORIRES model developed by ESI, Russia. ORIRES is a linear programming (LP) model for electric power system operation and planning. Since ORIRES requires data relatively less than other model, it is suitable for northeast asia that has considerable restriction against required data acquisition. In this paper, we perform an economic analysis on interconnection in northeast asia.

  • 본 논문에서는 당사에서 개발한 부스터펌프 원격관리 시스템을 소개한다. 부스터펌프 원격관리 시스템은 인터넷을 통하여 급수 장비인 부스터펌프 시스템에 대한 원격관리와 정보 공유가 가능하며 이를 통해 장비 운영자, 납품업체, 시공업체 등에서 누구나 부스터펌프 시스템을 감시 및 관리를 할 수 있게 한 웹기반의 통합 시스템이다. 부스터펌프 원격관리 시스템은 각각의 부스터펌프 시스템이 설치되어 있는 현장에 당사 Gateway 제품인 ProNET-iMC를 설치하여 부스터펌프 시스템의 정보를 수집하고 이를 상위 시스템에서 취합하여 데이터베이스에 저장하며, 웹을 통해 사용자 권한에 따른 실시간 및 이력 정보를 제공하도록 설계되었다. 부스터펌프 원격관리 시스템을 통하여 부스터펌프 시스템의 고장을 방지하거나 조기에 발견하여 신속한 A/S를 통해 제품의 안정성을 높이고 사용자의 신뢰를 구축 할 수 있을 것이다.

  • In this paper, the inverter switch losses of BLDC motor for three types of PWM method and power devices was analyzed. When BLDC motor is driven at low currents, inverter switch losses for MOSFET is low because MOSFET operates like resistance. But, inverter switch losses for IGBT is higher than MOSFET due to its large turn-off losses. For low power inverter with MOSFET, the power losses of unified PWM is lower than that of unipolar and bipolar PWM.
