  • Recently, as growing number of consumers publish product and service reviews on the Internet, e-review has received attention from retailers and researchers. E-review, a form of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) which is typically shared between strangers whose identity and credibility are unknown, has become an important product information source as social media has facilitated information exchanges between more consumers. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of e-review attributes on purchase intention for fashion products, which is mediated by trust of e-review, as well as to explore the differences between consumer communities and cooperative communities. A questionnaire was developed based on previous researches. Data were gathered from adults living in Busan. The results were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test, and regression using SPSS 18.0. The results showed that consumers tended to recognize e-reviews from consumer communities as exaggerated information, while they considered reviews from cooperative communities as reliable information, which gave the latter higher purchase intention. There were significant differences in e-review attributes for fashion products (e.g., Exaggeration, Entertainment, Innocence, and Agreement), purchase intention between consumer communities (e.g: Blog, Internet cafe) and cooperative communities (e.g: general malls and specialty malls). For both communities, purchase intention of fashion products was influenced by its entertainment attributes and perceived trust of e-reviews. These results suggest that e-retailers need to focus on understanding the causes of purchase intention with e-reviews for fashion products. Specifically, e-retailers should recognize that e-reviews of fashion products were associated primarily with entertaining and with consumers' trust. Based on these findings, managerial implications are presented.

  • Purchase of clothes has recently picked up pace at mobile fashion shopping malls. One of the biggest weak points is that consumers can't coordinate clothes. Since individuals increasingly want to make coordination, a fashion coordination system to satisfy the demand should be developed. As the technology of digital clothing which is about reproducing dresses using computer graphic has been activated in the fashion industry, many changes in consumers' life patterns and interests in fashion shopping malls are taking place. Some consumers are increasingly more keenly interested in shopping on the Internet and Smart phones than in offline stores. This study was conducted to understand production of iPhone-based augmented reality fashion fitting contents which is suitable for Koreans' body shape. This system is about designing and materializing UI(User Interface), an augmented reality fitting system, so that users can confirm if they look nice with those fashion items using Smart phones. A new fashion shopping method satisfying user convenience was suggested using the materialized system.

  • While on-line shopping is increasing, the "Consumer Protection Law in Electronic Commerce" obliges each internet shopping mall to provide its business information. Although most internet shopping malls provide their business information in the semi-structured format on the bottom of their homepages, the attributes and expression forms of business information are different each other. It makes consumers difficult to identify their business information and lowers public confidence. Hence this study proposes three approaches - HTML-based structure, XML-based structure, and XML data island-based structure - to structuralizing business information for correct expression. The experiment results showed that the business information extraction time by XML data island-based structure is independent of the size of the web document, while the time by HTML-based structure is dependent on the size. By comparing the business information extraction times, we show that XML data island-based structure is more efficient and effective than HTML-based structure.structure.

  • In this paper, we review and classify shopping information services for electronic commerce in Korea. Shopping information services for electronic commerce can be divided into shopping mall information service and product information service. Shopping mall information service simply shows and suggests information on the shopping malls that it has in its data store. But product information service provides information about the items of the shopping malls the service has and therefore gives more powerful and convenient interfaces to users. Cutting-edge product information services can perform online comparison shopping facility, which searches and compares the items what the users want on the reasonable basis of economical criteria, such as price. Books, CDs, and Personal Data Assistant(PDA)s are the products of which the specification is clear enough to be described on the Web. And the comparison of the products by the information service is performed on the basis of "price" of the product item. The approach to design and implement product information service can be divided into two categories. The one is an application of data warehousing mechanism, which stores the product information on the regular basis of time and provide it when the users query over the Web-database gateway. The other approach is a shopping agent mechanism, which stores information on "how to shop" and the shopping agent collects the information of product items just after users query about the product and provide the information in real time or notify them by alerting service. Thirty nine shopping information services are compared and classified in this paper and they are extracted from "Naver" and "Yahoo! Korea". The final result shows that most services are just a simple shopping mall information service in growing stage, product information services with data warehousing are lack in product ontology in middle stage, and that product information services with shopping agent are in early stage.

Of the 60 manufacturers, 20 of them were chosen for the study all of whom had relatively were made homepages that were geared towards sales. 1. Daily Hanboks on the homepages were put in an electronic catalog. They were photographed and well described. Each picture could be enlarged when needed. 2. The Hanbok's were made for men, women and children. There were every couple's Hanboks. The Hanboks used natural material, mixed spinning and chemical textile, which was easily kept and washed. It was intended, as clothes for everyday wear Silk was used for formal clothes. 3. The prices ranged from low-middle to high clothing for everyday life is reasonable and street wear and formal dresses are priced high. The color of the dresses are not vibrant, but natural and light. As Hanboks become more in demand, there will be more choices available. 4. As matter of the sizes shows weakness. In general they use the western size system. The purpose of this study is to show the direction that Hanbok manufacturers may take for the internet sales and for being more active to promote the spread of the dress. This research came to the fellowing conclusion. Even though Hanbok manufacturers operate homepages. it seems that they are not well used. However, many internet shopping malls have been opened and they have put Daily Hanboks into one of their sales categories. The internet malls are getting more active and are expanding more. Therefore the market value of the Hanboks in the future look optimistic. If smaller sized manufacturers of Daily Hanbok's establish cooperative network that have no time and space limit, they can use the strong power of the market as the market development for Daily Hanboks is endless.
