To achieve the goal, we set 6 sub-dimensions - privacy risk, social risk, time loss risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk - based on comprehensive consideration of related studies, and established a research model included 2 factors such as perceived value and repurchase intention to measure performance in internet shopping malls. From 174 customers of the electronic commerce shopping malls survey data have been collected and analyzed based on the covariance structural model method. The results of this study are summarized as follows. Firstly, five perceived risk characteristics of privacy risk, time loss risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk are significantly positive effect on perceived value. Secondly, perceived value IS very significantly related to repurchase intention in electronic commerce shopping malls. Consequently, we discussed the strategies to create perceived value and repurchase intention in electronic commerce environment. Also we suggested the implications and further research directions.

  • In this research, we proposed a quality evaluation standard model which is suitable for the internet shopping mall based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award model. A 7-Point Likert Scale was used based on the seven categories within the 2008 Malcolm Baldrige Criteria : Leadership, Strategic Planning, Customer and Market Focus, Measurement Analysis and Knowledge Management, Workforce Focus, Process Management, and Result. Furthermore, we analysed the validity and causal relationship among the factors within the model. The goal of this research is to find a rational standard to evaluate internet shopping malls nationwide and help the structuring and the operation of these malls. The results may be used not only as a tool to evaluate internet shopping mall sites but also as a guideline to improve the quality of a internet shopping mall site that is under development.

  • The study applies lifestyles based on the list of values(LOV) to the college student-consumers, classifies them and compares traits. The study also looks into store images of internet fashion shopping malls and differences in purchasing behaviors. The results of the study show that there are three types, namely 'self-confidence and pursuit-of-success type,'family-oriented and responsible type', and 'passive and popular-culture-consumer type'. Among the elements constituting the store images of internet fashion shopping malls, there were considerable differences between groups on 'product and information service' element and 'convenience' element. On shopping mall purchasing behavior, the study confirmed some differences on 'information source', 'product purchase amount', and 'payment method' when purchasing a product. Furthermore, there were considerable differences on shopping mall satisfaction level and repurchasing intention between groups by lifestyle-type.

Based on previous exploratory work and a review of the literature of relationship marketing, six key factors of relationship orientation construct are identified: trust, bonding, communication. shared value. empathy and reciprocity. And a conceptual model is developed and seven research hypotheses are empirica1ly examined using structural equation modelling. The results show that bonding, shared value and reciprocity has statistically significant effect on the trust of online customers and trust has a positive influence on customer satisfaction and loyalty in Internet shopping malls. Theoretical. managerial and research implications are discussed.

  • Item-based collaborative filtering (IBCF) is an important technology that is widely used in recommender system of online shopping malls. It uses historical information to compute item-item similarity and make predictions. However, in offline shopping each customer's purchasing pattern can be occurred continuously and repeatedly due to time and space constraints contrast to online shopping. Those facts can make IBCF to have limitations from being applied to offline shopping malls directly. In order to improve the quality of recommendations made by IBCF in offline shopping mall, we propose an ensemble approach that considers both item-item similarity of IBCF and each customer's purchasing patterns which are modeled by item networks. Our experimental results show that this approach produces recommendation results superior to those of existing works such as pure IBCF or bestseller approaches.

  • The increasing integration of public space and consumerism in Hong Kong has yielded new urban forms. The emergent vertical malls in Hong Kong and other East Asian metropolises have overturned the existing vertical order of the city. This vertical order is determined by the level of accessibility, but is being challenged by widely adopted vertical circulation technology. Inspired by Fredric Jameson's and Rem Koolhaas' reflections on the cultural significance of vertical transportation, this article examines the conflict between market logic and urban design requirements in the vertical interior spaces. "Departmentalization," as the current programming formula for vertical malls, can be further optimized by critically applying urban design doctrines such as Kevin Lynch's five elements of city image. It concludes with a statement that the knowledge base of vertical urbanism should be open to a set of new terminology informed by a new technological environment.

  • Using user monitoring techniques on web, marketing decision makers in cyber shopping malls can gather customer behavior data as well as sales transaction data and customer profiles. In this paper, we present a marketing rule extraction technique for customer behavior analysis in cyber shopping malls, The technique is an application of market basket analysis which is a representative data mining technique for extracting association rules. The market basket analysis technique is applied on a customer behavior log table, which provide association rules about web pages in a cyber shopping mall. The extracted association rules can be used for mall layout design, product packaging, web page link design, and product recommendation. A prototype cyber shopping mall with customer monitoring features and a customer behavior analysis algorithm is implemented using Java Web Server, Servlet, JDBC(Java Database Connectivity), and relational database on windows NT.

  • The total market capacities of our domestic on-line shopping malls had reached over one billion wons in 2005. They are also estimated to reach 1.8 billion wons in 2008. In order to reveal some relationships between six antecedent variables and intention-to-use of online shooing malls, this study has extended the original TAM2 model using these variables obtained from (1) perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use from TAM2 model, (2) compatibility from IDT theory, (3) perceived enjoyment from Flow theory, and (4) others (perceived risk and self efficacy). Two statistical packages such as SPSS 12.0 and Lirel 8.70 were used for data analyses. Among these seven proposed hypotheses, six hypotheses were accepted while one hypothesis regarding perceived risk was rejected. As perceived risk hypothesis concerning the intention-to-use was rejected, the perceived risk did not show the support of the intention-to-use.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of relationship benefit on consumer's purchase intention by focusing on the mediating role of interaction in internet shopping malls. The survey research was limited to respondents over 20 years old living in Seoul and other metropolitan areas who had purchased fashion products thru internet shopping malls. 562 data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression using SPSS program. The results indicated that each relationship benefit dimension had a significantly positive effect on consumer's purchase intention. The interaction between internet shopping malls and the consumer was categorized by two factors such as content-people interaction and people-people interaction. In addition, each interactive factor showed mediating effects between relationship benefits and consumer's purchase intention.
