here are many cases that take a software education as a required course for non-major students in university curriculums. However, non-major students are experiencing various difficulties in the process of learning programming languages, and there is also the opposite opinion in terms of their effectiveness. In this study, we developed a design based software education model (DBSEM) and curriculum to solve these problems and applied it to undergraduate non-undergraduate students for the last 8 years. In the proposed method, we provide a specialized educational tool such as 'block-based programming tool', but developed 'core module' and 'concept learning module' for computational thinking and applied 'prototype design module' and coding strategy based on it. As a result, non-major undergraduates could easily learn block-based scripting tools and acquire core concepts of computational thinking.

In line with the social changes due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, foreign countries are strengthening information education for the future of education. This study analyzed the current status of software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) education among different types of information education programs in elementary schools of major foreign countries, and compared them with the education provided in Korea. Compared to major foreign countries, Korea allocated very little time for software education in elementary schools, making it difficult to sufficiently cover all areas of the curriculum achievement standards. In addition, other countries recognized the importance of artificial intelligence, an important technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and were providing artificial intelligence education on the basis of software education at the national level. The Korean government is also planning on providing the education at national level, but it was identified that the information education of elementary schools have many problematic issues. This study emphasized the need to establish an information curriculum for elementary schools as a way to address these issues.
The purpose of this study is to find some directions for students' future and Home Economics Education. Juniors and Seniors majoring in Home Economics were selected from 4 Universities in Chungbuk Province and the questionnare survey was used. The results of this study are as follows : 1. Most of respondents were defined the H.E. as the academic subject, and 50.2% of them regarded H.E. as a necessary subject regardless of whether it is their major or not. 2. Though the most general motives of choosing H.E. as their major were recommendation of their parents/neighbors or their school record, they are satisfied with their major. 3. The strongest reason majoring in H.E. was that it is helpful to living, and some students didn't show any interest because H.E. was not considered as a realistic study. 4. Many respondents answered that male students have to learn H.E., and thought that H.E. Education is much influential to one's living. 5. 59.6% of respondents replied that cultural studies related to H.E. are opened at the universities, and 90.6% of them thought subjects related to H.E. should be opened as cultural studies. 6. After graduation, 48.3% of respondents will choose their jobs related to their major, and they prefer to be a teacher, a dietition and a fashion designer in its order. 7. 44.3% of respondents thought that H.E. is neglected and 50.7% of them answered that the research by industrial-educational cooperation is necessary. 8. Many students majoring in H.E. took an optimistic view about H.E.'s future as a study.
The purpose of this study is to examine the nutrition knowledge, characteristics related to, nutrient intakes, anthropometrics, biochemical indices of university female students by major (food and nutrition versus physical science). Data were taken from 120 university female students (60 from each major) and the results follows. The mean age of the subjects was 19.6 years old. Most of subjects responded that they were healthy; subjects majoring in physical science scored higher in regular exercise (p < 0.01) and were more satisfied with their own body figures (p < 0.01), compared with the counterparts. The total nutrition knowledge score was $81.01{\pm}12.3$ for food and nutrition majors and $72.5{\pm}15.2$ points for physical science majors. (p < 0.01) The percentages of body fat were significantly higher in the food and nutrition students than the counterparts. (p < 0.001) The result of biochemical analysis showed that both groups were in normal range. But there was some statistically significant difference between groups in GTP, HDL-cholesterol and ALP levels. It suggests that regular exercise might have a positive effect on the body. This study showed that although both groups had different knowledge of nutrition, there was not much difference in the intakes of nutrients. But especially, the intakes of calcium and iron were quite low in both groups. Subjects majoring in Physical science had more lipid intake, but they had lower body fat. This suggests that regular exercise in this group might have effects on the percentages of body fat. In future study, nutrition education might be planned to increase nutrition knowledge and to connect nutrition knowledge to eating behaviors and to promote health to regular exercise. Also, the desire and the social perception for pursuing alean body figure and being underweight should be changed for optimal health.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitudes and performing confidence, and factors influencing patient safety of dental hygiene students. The questionnaire contained items on the subjects' general characteristics, attitudes, and performing confidence in relation to patient safety. The self-reported questionnaire was administered to 287 dental hygiene students in Gwangju and Jeonnam, Korea from September to November 2017. We performed an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS ver. 21.0 software. As a result of differences in attitude, and performing confidence according to the general characteristics, attitude toward patient safety scored 3.48 out of 5 points, and was more positive in students from 4-year colleges, with high major satisfaction, and in students who answered that they needed patient safety education. Performing confidence for patient safety scored 3.57 out of 5 points, and was statistically significantly higher in 4-year college students, with higher major satisfaction, amongst those with experience in patient safety education, and when patient safety education was needed before clinical practice or employment. There were positive correlations between attitude and performing confidence for patient safety. As a result of analyzing the factors influencing attitude and performing confidence for patient safety, attitudes were higher with higher performing confidence and performing confidence had the highest satisfaction rate of the major and patient safety education experience. Therefore, it is necessary to provide systematic education at universities reflecting the characteristics of dental medical institutions, as well as developing various education contents and education methods.

Development of computer and internet has permitted cyber education transcending time and space, which escapes traditional classroom. As a result, the study of learner's own leading in Web-based instruction environment can be possible. In order to perform it effectively, suitable helps and advices, called scaffolding, must be offered. In this pater, we select a principle of computer in information technology basic subject of technical high school, and design and implement the web contents that provide the proper scaffolding for learners.
This study aims to examine the differences between groups through the results of the core competency diagnosis, and to find out the differences in core competences depending on engineering education accreditation, gender, admission types. To this end, we analyzed the differences in K-CESA results on self-management capabilities, resources & information use, global competency, higher order thinking competency, and interpersonal competency in 2017 for the fourth graders of S University. An ANOVA of major field showed that the humanities had high overall competencies. The results of t-test of engineering students showed that accredited students had relatively low "flexibility" of their global competency, and that the "analysis" of their higher order thinking competency was relatively high. There were no statistically significant differences between groups depending on the admission types. Through these analyses, we presented suggestions such as the provision of specialized programs based on differences among different groups, the development of comprehensive thinking skills such as capstone design, the need to secure flexibility in engineering education accreditation, and the enhancement of female students' resources & information use.
This study examined the background of the dietary life of North Korean defector adolescents born and raised in North Korea and their new South Korean dietary experiences after being settled in South Korea. The study included six North Korean defector adolescents enrolled in an alternative school located in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. This study's qualitative research methodology included two-by-two group interviews, followed by individual interviews and field observation. The study period was from September 14 to October 26, 2019. Before entering South Korea, they primarily ate food pickled with soybean and salt, a cooking method by which foods are preserved because refrigerators were unavailable. After settling in South Korea, they had difficulty adapting to South Korean foods because of the unfamiliar ingredients and recipes. On the other hand, they quickly adapted to some foods, such as chicken. The participants reported that North Korean foods are generally light, whereas South Korean foods are sweet, salty, and spicy; hence, they do not taste delicious. The results suggest that attention be paid to menu improvement and the provision of nutritional education by schools and the government to prevent undernourishment or malnourishment because of unfamiliar ingredients and recipes.
The purpose of this study is to explore effective and practical career plans reflecting demand of the field, in regard to education for university students who major in physical education, as the importance and necessity of career education at a university level are increasing. Systematic literature review (PRISMA) methodology was used for this study. From 38 pieces of literature that were finally selected for this study, research results were put together from three perspectives as follows: 1. 'Factors Related to Students' Decision-Making for Career' which should be considered in career education for physical education majors; 2. Problems of Career Education in the Physical Education Curriculum, and; 3. Improvement Plans. First, it was found that students' decision-making for career is affected by individuals' personal internal factors (i.e., satisfaction with major, self-efficacy, and career barrier) and external factors (i.e., counselling history on career paths, career conditions, and the status of related jobs). Second, the state of career education for physical education majors was found to be insufficient in terms of a lack of career education in the curriculum, a lack of support from major professors, and a lack of support for field experience. Third, improvement plans were suggested from the following perspectives: development of systematic career education curriculum (i.e., fostering leadership, reorganization of curriculum focused on career specialty, and operation of systematic curriculum); provision of an adequate environment for career education (i.e., establishment of infrastructure that links the university to society and collection of information on career paths for physical education majors). Moreover, the necessity to develop career education curriculum in connection with demand of students regarding career, the lack of systematic information on career paths of physical education majors, and the lack of researches on career education for physical education majors were discussed in this study.
In this study, in order to analyze the AI convergence education courses of 38 graduate schools of education, the analysis frame was constructed in terms of basic subject classification, content field of subject, and detailed subject composition by field. And as a result of analysis through this frame, it was found that the number of subjects currently operated by these graduate schools of education is very different from 14 subjects to 48 subjects. Therefore, it was judged that it was urgent to develop a standard curriculum for the AI convergence education major operated by each graduate school of education for the same purpose. The AI Convergence Education Major, which was established for the same purpose and operated in different forms, will eventually produce teachers with different competencies, so there is a risk of bringing confusion to the direction of AI Convergence Education in the school field.
