Efficient and Secure Authenticated Key Exchange

  • The Key exchange protocols are very crucial tools to provide the secure communication in the broadband satellite access network. They should be required to satisfy various requirements such as security, Key confirmation, and Key freshness. In this paper, Two authenticated key exchange protocols TPEKE-E(Two Pass Encrypted Key Exchange-Exchange-Efficient) and TPEKE-S(Two Pass Encrypted Key xchange-Secure) are introduced. A basic idea of the protocols is that a password can be represented by modular addition N, and the number of possible modular addition N representing the password is $2^N$. The TPEKE-E is secure against the attacks including main-in-the-middle attack and off-line dictionary attack, and the performance is excellent so as beyond to comparison with other authenticated key exchange protocols. The TPEKE-S is a slight modification of the TPEKE-E. The TPEKE-S provides computational in feasibility for learning the password without having performed off line dictionary attack while preserving the performance of the TPEKE-E.

전력선 통신 채널의 단 구간 변화에 대한 분석 (An analysis of the short-term variation of the power line as a communication channel)

  • The power line channel has time-variant characteristics caused by various kind of electrical devices. This characteristics are synchronized with the main voltage by their own characteristics. The main factors of disturbance are the variation of the channel impedance and noises. In other papers, the synchronous noise modeling has been achieved. But the modeling is not satisfied simultaneously with the time domain and the frequency domain and there are not any discussion about short-term variations of the channel impedance which cause to the signal fading. Therefore, this paper researched to solve problems about the signal fading by analyzing the short-term variation of the channel impedance, and proposed the synchronous noise modeling which is satisfied simultaneously in the time domain and the frequency domain.

  • The fault current has increased due to growth of distributed generations for the large power demand in power distribution system. To solve some problem such as excess of the circuit breaker's cut-off ratings, the superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) has been progressed. However, the operational characteristics of the relay is changed by SFCL. Therefore, the proper impedance for the SFCL should be selected to keep protective coordination with the SFCL when SFCL is introduced on the neutral line of main transformer in distribution system. In this paper, the proper normal conducting resistance was suggested to solve the problem in case of the protection coordination with SFCL.

원전 격실에 대한 최적 침수분석 방법 (Optimized Flooding Analysis Method for Compartment for Nuclear Power Plant)

  • 본 논문은 원자력발전소의 대형탱크 또는 배관파단에 따른 격실의 침수분석을 수행함에 있어 최적평가방법을 개발하여 원전에 실제로 적용하는 방법에 관한 논문을 작성하는데 목적이 있다. 주급수관파단사고 분석을 위해 RETRAN 전산코드를 사용하였다. 유출수 질량유량을 계산하는데 있어서 주급수제어밸브가 계통설계에 의거 원자로정지 후 5.0초 만에 닫히는 것으로 모델링하여 분석하였다. 출력 70% 운전시 방출유량이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 방출 질량유량을 가지고 침수위를 계산한 결과 주급수관 격실의 최대 침수위는 1.43m로서 이는 안전성기기가 설치된 위치보다 낮아 원전의 안전정지에 미치는 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다.

The MARS Simulation of the ATLAS Main Steam Line Break Experiment

  • A main steam line break (MSLB) test at the ATLAS facility was simulated using the best-estimate thermal-hydraulic system code, MARS-KS. This has been performed as an activity at the third domestic standard problem for code benchmark (DSP-03) that has been organized by Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). The results of the MSLB experiment and the MARS input data prepared for the previous DSP-02 using the ATLAS facility were provided to participants. The preliminary MSLB simulation using the base input data, however, showed unphysical results in the primary-to-secondary heat transfer. To resolve the problems, some improvements were implemented in the MARS input modelling. These include the use of fine meshes for the bottom region of the steam generator secondary side and proper thermal-hydraulics calculation options. Other input model improvements in the heat loss and the flow restrictor models were also made and the results were investigated in detail. From the results of simulations, the limitations and further improvement areas of the MARS code were identified.

An Optimization Method for the Calculation of SCADA Main Grid's Theoretical Line Loss Based on DBSCAN

  • In recent years, the problem of data drifted of the smart grid due to manual operation has been widely studied by researchers in the related domain areas. It has become an important research topic to effectively and reliably find the reasonable data needed in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system has become an important research topic. This paper analyzes the data composition of the smart grid, and explains the power model in two smart grid applications, followed by an analysis on the application of each parameter in density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) algorithm. Then a comparison is carried out for the processing effects of the boxplot method, probability weight analysis method and DBSCAN clustering algorithm on the big data driven power grid. According to the comparison results, the performance of the DBSCAN algorithm outperforming other methods in processing effect. The experimental verification shows that the DBSCAN clustering algorithm can effectively screen the power grid data, thereby significantly improving the accuracy and reliability of the calculation result of the main grid's theoretical line loss.

실습선 새바다호의 선체진동에 관하여 (On the Hull Vibration of the Training Ship Sae-Ba-Da)

  • This paper describes on the measurement of the deck vibration produced by the main engine vibration of stern trawler MjS SAE-BA-DA (2,275GT, 3,600PS) while the ship is cruising and drifting. The obtained results are as follows; 1. The deck vibration level was the highest point at vertical line which pass main engine and the lowest point at vertical line which pass top bridge while the crusing. 2. The vibration source level of the main engine, screw shaft and screw propeller were respectively 110, 90 and 80% while the crusing. 3. The main deck vibration pressure level at the check points 2, 20, 30, 40, 60, 70, 80, 86m from the bow to stern was respectively 9, 8, 7, 10, 22, 45, 18, 23%. 4. The frequency distributions of the rr.ain engine, screw shaft, screw propeller vibration were from 3 Hz to 10 KHz, predominant frequency was 1 KHz, each vibration accelration the highest level were respectively 1. 3, 0.8, 0.5 $mm/s^2.$ 5. The predominant frequency distributions of the main deck, second deck, bridge deck and top bridge deck-s vibration were from 10 to 30 Hz, and each vibration accelration level were respectively 0.7, 0.05, 0.07, 0.04 $mm/s^2.$

3D Line Segment Extraction Based on Line Fitting of Elevation Data

  • In this paper, we are concerned with a 3D line segment extraction method by area-based stereo matching technique. The main idea is based on line fitting of elevation data on 2D line coordinates of ortho-image. Elevation data and ortho-image can be obtained by well-known area-based stereo matching technique. In order to use elevation in line fitting, the elevation itself should be reliable. To measure the reliability of elevation, in this paper, we employ the concept of self-consistency. We test the effectiveness of the proposed method with a quantitative accuracy analysis using synthetic images generated from Avenches data set of Ascona aerial images. Experimental results indicate that our method generates 3D line segments almost 7.5 times more accurate than raw elevations obtained by area-based method.

용량모수 평가체계 (Systematic Parameter Analysis for Line Capacity)

  • Railway system is consisted of resources such as rail-line, signalling system, and railcars. It is necessary to efficiently utilize these limited and expensive resources as much as possible up to given line capacity. So far, we treat the line capacity as the criteria for evaluating investment alternatives or for restricting train frequencies, and this criteria is calculated statical and experimental numerical formula. But, line capacity has special attribute that changes dynamically according to operational conditions, so there is a need of new line capacity estimation system. In this paper, we present systematic line capacity analysis model. The proposed model has three main components; TPS(tain performance simulator), PES(parameter evaluation simulator), LCS(line capacity simulator).
