사출 성형 조건에 따른 PC 색상별 수축률 편차에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Shrinkage Deviation in PC-Collors by the Injection Molding Conditions)

  • In the data from synthetic resin makers, there is no shrinkage deviation through injection molding. But, after making the required products, even in the same conditions, there are some size-deviation in colors. Into our research, we checked main factor by the injection molding conditions. Our tests have shown this results, there are some shrinkage deviation in collors and, in the injection molding conditions, packing pressure is the main factor.

다단분사를 적용한 바이오디젤 연료의 분무 미립화 특성 (Spray-atomization Characteristics of Biodiesel Fuel with Multiple Injection)

  • This study deals with the investigation about the effect of the pilot and split injection strategies on the spray-atomization characteristics of biodiesel fuel derived from a soybean oil. Experimental results were compared with the calculation results obtained from the numerical analysis. Fuel properties of biodiesel according to the variation of the fuel temperature were inserted to the fuel library in the KIVA code. The amount of fuel injection is divided into equal mass for each split and main injection. In this work, the pilot injection strategy can be achieved by the amount of fuel injection shortly before the start of the main injection. A spray tip penetration, radial distance and spray area were measured for the analysis of macroscopic spray characteristics. In addition, the local and overall droplet size distribution were calculated by using KIVA-3V code to study the effect of split and pilot injection on the atomization performance under high ambient pressure. From these studies, the experimental results showed the multiple injection induced the decrease of the spray tip penetration due to the reduction and division of the spray momentum compared to single injection. In the atomization performance, the droplet size increased in the case of the multiple injection a little. Moreover, the SMD slightly increased as the fuel droplets goes through the axial direction. The spray behavior of numerical results were well predicted the experimental multiple spray characteristics of biodiesel fuel.

냉시동 조건에서 디젤 연소 특성 및 연소 개선에 대한 연구 (Improment of Diesel Combustion using multiple injection under Cold Start Condition)

  • 디젤엔진은 저온 상태의 냉시동 조건에서 디젤 미립화 특성 악화로 인한 시동성 및 유해배출가스 생성의 문제를 안고 있다. 본 연구에서는 냉시동 시의 연소개선을 위한 방안으로 다단분사 전략 적용 시의 연소 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 냉시동성 개선을 위해 방안으로 다단분사 적용 시의 연소 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 정적 연소 챔버 내에 설치한 압력센서를 이용하여 취득한 연소압 및 열방출율, 직접 화염 가시화기법을 적용한 화염강도를 이용하여 연소현상을 분석하고자 하였다. 시험 결과 단일 분사 대비하여 다단 분사 적용 시, 주분사에 의한 최대 연소압력 및 열방출 상승률이 증가하며, 주분사에 의한 화염 감지 기간이 단축됨을 확인하였다. 파일럿 분사량 변경을 통해 분사량 증대 시 파일럿 연소에 의한 열방출 향상에 기인한 주분사에 의한 연소가 개선됨을 확인하였다. 또한 분사압력 증대 시 연료 미립화 개선으로 인한 연소개선을 화염 강도 증대를 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 다만 분사량 및 분사압 증대는 벽면적심현상으로 인한 HC, CO의 배출 수준 악화를 초래할 수 있으므로, 실제 엔진 개발 시 이에 대한 정밀한 선정이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 환형 노즐을 갖는 불화중수소 화학레이저 시스템에서 레이저빔 발진은 불소 원자와 중수소 분자의 혼합을 통해서 얻어진다. 초음속 연소기에서 연료의 분사각이 성능에 큰 영향을 미친다는 연구에 근거하여, 혼합률을 증진시키기 위한 연구로서 주유동과 일정각을 가지고 분사되는 중수소의 불소 원자와의 혼합률 증진에 대한 수치적 연구를 수행하였다. 중요 결과로서 중수소 분사각(10, 20, 40도)이 커짐에 따라서 최대 소신호 광학이득계수와 레이저 공동내의 압력이 상승하게 된다. 또한, 광학이득계수와 공동압력의 관점에서 불화중수소 화학레이저 발진을 위한 최대 성능은 20~40도 사이의 중수소 분사각에서 나타난다.

희박연소를 위한 혼합기의 성층급기와 유동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Induced Mixture Flows and the Stratified Charge for a Lean Burn)

  • In the present study, the IDI-type constant volume chamber, which utilizes the indirect injection stratified charge method, is used to solve several problems including misfires and cycle-variations caused by unstable initial ignitions. A subchamber has been used to make an ignitable mixture under the low mean equivalence ratio. After burned in the subchamber, the flame jet getting through the passage hode enters the main chamber and burns the lean charge. There are many factors which affect the combustion characteristics of the indirect injection stratified engine. The passage hole angle is the most important since it determines the direction of flame flows into the main chamber. In the present study, we measured the combustion pressure, and the wall temperature, and computed the heat flux through the cylinder wall in order to understand the combustion characteristics depending on passage hole angle and the equivalence ratio.

  • The characteristics of combustion and emissions were investigated in a single cylinder DI diesel engine equipped with a common rail injection system. This study presents an experimental study of the effect of engine speed, injection timing, injection pressure and pilot injection timing on the combustion and exhaust emissions. The engine speeds were 1000 and 2000rpm and the corresponding injection pressures were 50 and 100MPa. Experimental results show that NOx emissions decrease with retarded injection timing, while HC and CO emissions increases. Higher injection pressure increases NOx with lower soot emissions. For the case with the pilot injection prior to main injection, the ignition delay is shortened and the premixed combustion ratio decreases. Also NOx and soot emissions are decreased with increase of pilot injection advance.

  • Although permeating injection is ideal for grouting reservoir embankments, it is usually combined with fracturing injection for grouting, which can disturb the original soil. Compaction with low expansive pressure followed by grout injection can overcome this problem. An expansive compaction (EC) packer was developed in this work to easily apply sequential injection and compaction at a work site. Furthermore, to achieve compaction around the grouting hole, a mixture of expansive admixtures and grout was injected with the EC packer to trigger an increase in volume of the grout material. This work verifies the compaction effect of the EC packer and the expansive admixture. It reports the concepts of the EC packer, the range of expansive compaction, the effectiveness of injection, and the results of indoor tests performed to verify the effectiveness of the expansive admixtures. The indoor testing comprised a preparatory test and the main test. The preparatory test assessed the admixtures for their compaction effects, while the main test measured and analyzed the admixtures' expansive force, pressure, and compaction effect with a mold to verify the effectiveness of the compaction effect.

열회수를 고려한 소형 증기분사 가스터빈 시스템 해석 (Analysis of a small steam injected gas turbine system with heat recovery)

  • This paper describes a methodology and results for the analysis of a small steam injected gas turbine cogeneration system. A performance analysis program for the gas turbine engine is utilized with modifications required for the model of steam injection and the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). The object of simulation is a simple cycle gas turbine engine under development which adopts a centrifugal compressor. The analysis is based on the off-design operation of the gas turbine and the compressor performance map is utilized. Analyses are carried out with the injection ratio as the main parameter. The effect of steam injection on the power and efficiency of gas turbine and cogeneration capacity is investigated. Also presented is the variation in the main operating parameters inside the HRSG. Remarkable reduction in NOx generation by steam injection is confirmed. In addition, it is observed that for the 100% power operation the temperature of the cooled first nozzle blade decreases by 100.deg. C at full steam injection, which seems to have a favorable effect on the engine life time.

디젤 엔진의 디젤-에탄올 혼합연료 적용이 엔진 진동 및 배기가스 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Diesel-ethanol Blended Fuel on the Vibration and Emission Characteristics in a Diesel Engine)

  • This study described the effect of the multiple injections and diesel-ethanol on the NVH, combustion and emission characteristics of 4 cylinder common rail diesel engine. In order to investigate the influence of diesel-ethanol blended fuel in a light-duty common rail diesel engine, the injection strategy was varied with pilot injection, double pilot injections, and one main injection at various operating conditions. The results showed that diesel-ethanol blended fuel had longer ignition delay than that of the ultra low diesel fuel(ULSD). Also, in the case of multiple injections, the combustion pressure is increased smoothly near the TDC and the NVH are decreased. In the emission characteristics, diesel-ethanol blended fuel produced lower indicated specific nitrogen oxides(IS-NOX) and indicated specific Soot(IS-soot) emissions, however, indicated specific unburned hydrocarbon(IS-HC) and indicated specific carbon monoxide(IS-CO) emissions are slightly increased.

단기통 디젤엔진에서 함정용 디젤유의 전·후 분사시기가 연소 및 배출가스 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of pre-post injection timing of diesel fuel for naval vessel on the combustion and emission characteristics in an optically-accessible single cylinder diesel engine)

  • 본 논문에서는 함정에 탑재된 추진용 엔진에 사용되는 디젤연료(MDO)의 분사상태를 가시화가 가능한 단기통 디젤엔진에 적용시켜 전 후 분사시기에 따른 연소특성, 일산화탄소(CO) 및 탄화수소(HC) 배출특성을 규명하고, 연소과정의 가시화를 통하여 연소특성을 분석하는데 초점을 두었다. 전 분사시기가 주 분사시기 쪽으로 지연될수록 실린더 내부 평균유효압력($P_{me}$) 및 최고압력($P_m$)은 상승했으나, 주 분사의 방열율은 저감되고, 일산화탄소 및 탄화수소의 발생량 또한 감소하였다. 후 분사시기가 빨라질 경우 주 분사에 의해 형성된 고온, 고압 하에서 연소가 이루어짐에 따라 실린더 내부 평균유효압력 및 최고압력은 증가하였고, 일산화탄소 및 탄화수소 배출수준 또한 증가하였다. 연소과정을 분석한 결과, 전 분사시기가 늦어질수록 주 분사 시 발생되는 착화지연은 매우 짧아지며, 화염강도는 매우 상승하였다. 분사시기에 관계없이 후 분사 시 착화지연 현상은 발생하지 않았으며, 후 분사시기가 늦어질수록 화염의 강도는 점점 떨어졌다.
