In this paper we propose a poll system using e-mail. This system expects to increase the response ratio because of including a questionnaire inner e-mail. Especially, this system automatically provides a general paper which is a result of categorical data analysis.

When the existing mail system is attacked by the third party, its content is exposed fully. To solve this problem, designed is the mail encryption system which can send and receive mail safely by the sessionkey. The mail receiver opens encrypted mail with the session key. In the traditional mail system, the server administrator can view mail content. However, in the proposed protocol, the server can only save mail as encryption/decryption is applied. Also, the ARIA encryption algorithm is used in encryption/decryption for better safety, and fast XOR operations are used to reduce the amount of operations.

Internet mail has become a common communication method around the world because of tremendous Internet service usage increment. In other respect, Most Internet users' mail addresses are exposed to spammer, and the damage of Junk mail is growing bigger and bigger. These days, Junk mail delivery problem is becoming more serious, because this is used for an attack or propagation scheme of malicious code. It's a most dangerous dominant cause for computer system accident. This paper shows the Junk mail filtering model and implementation which is based on FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) check and evaluates it for proposing advanced scheme against Junk mail.

As the transaction using mail order sales mediating sites such as Auction rapidly increase, consumer damages are also increasing. Therefore, in this study, the methods to remedy consumer damages occurring from transactions through mail order sales mediating sites such as the Payment Deposit System, the systems to resolve disputes without any litigation and the systems in relation to the Consumer Basic Act have been examined and measures to improve the systems have been groped. For the transactions using mail order sales intermediating sites, it is necessary to impose more responsibility on mail order sales mediators although the responsibility may not be required to be at the level of mail order sellers such as internet shopping malls. Therefore, institutional supports are necessary to effectively protect consumers in the transactions using mail order sales mediating sites and to induce damaged consumers to actively file claims for compensations. In relation to this, the Collective Dispute Mediation System and the Consumer Group Litigation System under the Consumer Basic Act may become good examples. The consumers who have been subject to the same or similar damages in the transactions using mail order sales mediating sites should also be allowed to participate in the Collective Dispute Mediation under the Consumer Basic Act or actively utilize the Consumer Group Litigation System. Also, it is desirable to reflect these systems on 'the Act on Consumer Protection in E-Commerce etc' so that these systems can also be directly applied to the transactions using mail order sales mediating sites.

As computers and networks become popular, distributing information on the Internet is common in our daily life. Also, the explosion of the Internet, of wireless digital communication and data exchange on Internet has rapidly changed the way we connect with other people. But secure mail is gaining popularity abroad and domestically because of their nature of providing security. That is. It has been used a variety of fields such as general mail and e-mail for advertisement. But, As the data transmitted on network can be easily opened or forged with simple operations. Most of existing e-mail system don't have any security on the transmitted information. Thus, security mail system need to provide security including message encryption, content integrity, message origin authentication, and non-repudiation. In this paper, we design and implement secure mail system with secure key agreement algorithm, non-repudiation service, and encryption capability to provide services for certification of delivery and certification of content as well as the basic security services.

In this paper, we constructed a two-phase spam-mail filtering system based on the lexical and conceptual information. There are two kinds of information that can distinguish the spam mail from the ham (non-spam) mail. The definite information is the mail sender's information, URL, a certain spam keyword list, and the less definite information is the word list and concept codes extracted from the mail body. We first classified the spam mail by using the definite information, and then used the less definite information. We used the lexical information and concept codes contained in the email body for SVM learning in the 2nd phase. According to our results the ham misclassification rate was reduced if more lexical information was used as features, and the spam misclassification rate was reduced when the concept codes were included in features as well.

E-mail system is the most important service that enterprises and normal users in internet use. However, because a data security is not satisfied yet, and E-mail system with security service is essential. In this paper, We implemented the E-mail system with Certification of Delivery that was not provided in prior mail system with basic security services and can prove that sender's document is properly sent to the intended receipt. And an implementation of the system used Java Cryptography API.

The purpose of Email system is used to transmit important information between companies in today. But Email system has vulnerabilities such that changing email address of sender by attacker. So it is important to authenticate mail server and user using mail server. This paper proposed mail proxy located between mail servers that evaluate authority and authenticate sender and receiver. The proposed email platform has some functions to compose trusted domain and to authenticate mail servers in the domain. Also, if sender and recipient are valid users in mail system, each exchanges a key for confidentiality and the sender sends an e-mail encrypted with exchanged key to recipient. In this paper, we propose a key exchange scheme in proposed platform and verify this protocol using Casper which is the formal analysis tool. In the future research, we will study the overall platform of the domain configuration for the security of mail.

E-mail system has been widely used for information transmission. As multimedia technologies are developed, many Internet services support multimedia. E-mail system only transmits 7bit ASCII data using simple mail transfer protocol(SMTP) specified in RFC 821. E-mail system can't support the authoring and the transmission of multimedia data. In this study multimedia mail authoring system has been designed and implemented in order to provide message integration. Multimedia messages can be authored and transformed into text types with this system. Transformed messages are transmitted from sender's mail transfer agent (MTA) to receiver's MTA by means of SMTP. Messages can be authored in hypertext markup language (HTML) including text, image, audio and video. This system provides integrated messages which consist or various media. BASE64 Encoding method is used in order to transform multimedia messages into text types. Received mails are managed by multimedia user agent (MUA) which is proposed in this study. Convenience for user is improved in this system.

This study reviews several innovative electronic reference services that will be transformed in the age of the virtual library. This study focused on reference service via E-mail and electronic bulletin board which is regarded as the most important service in a variety of electronic reference services. Through E-mail and the electronic bulletin board, the user submits questions and the librarian responds with the answer. Though interest in using E-mail and electronic bulletin board as a basis for reference service has grown considerably in recent years, it is still in its infancy in Korea. Thus the purpose of this study is to propose a model electronic reference service system using E-mail and the electronic bulletin board for university libraries in Korea. This system consists of the following modules: electronic reference services policy, open reference service via electronic bulletin board, closed reference service via E-mail, and FAQ. This system is meant to be a guide for those considering implementing such a service.
