Fundamental study on cancer therapy by blocking newborn blood vessels by magnetic force control

  • In this study, a cancer treatment by accumulating and aggregating ferromagnetic particles in newborn blood vessels was examined. It is necessary for this treatment to control dispersion-aggregation property of ferromagnetic particles. Ferromagnetic particles required in this method disperse at low magnetic field, aggregate at high magnetic field and maintain the aggregation even after removal of the magnetic field. In order to control the dispersion-aggregation property, the surface of magnetite particles was modified with higher fatty acids having different lengths. As a result, we succeeded to prepare propionic acid-modified magnetite particles that form irreversible aggregation by magnetic field. The model experiments simulating newborn blood vessels showed that these particles can block the flow by the magnetic field, and the blockage was maintained after removal of the magnetic field.

  • Purpose: To investigate factors influencing the evaluation of background parenchymal enhancement (BPE) at follow-up breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) after adjuvant endocrine therapy. Materials and Methods: One hundred twelve women with breast cancer and MRI of the contralateral unaffected breast before and after endocrine therapy were identified. Two readers in consensus performed blinded side-by-side comparison of BPE (minimal, mild, moderate, and marked) before and after therapy with categorical scales. Age, body mass index, menopausal status, treatment regimen (selective estrogen receptor modulator or aromatase inhibitor), chemotherapy, follow-up duration, BPE at baseline MRI, MRI field strength before and after therapy, and recurrence were analyzed for their influences on decreased BPE. Results: Younger age, premenopausal status, treatment with selective estrogen receptor modulator, MRI field strength, and moderate or marked baseline BPE were significantly associated with decreased BPE. In multivariate analysis, MRI field strength and baseline BPE showed a significant association. Conclusion: MRI field strength and baseline BPE before and after therapy .were associated with decreased BPE at post-therapy, follow-up MRI.

Specially, successful medical treatment introduction of magnetic field (MF) can was refered long ago in Avicenna's work, and is thought as age of medicine magnetology development recently. These development is achieved through biologist and biophysicist and clinician's joint effort, but, new mountings and relationship air tassel are developed steadily. Magnetic nerve stimulation treatment field designs treatment system by each function during long wave high-amplitude (traditional magneto therapy of greatly great that strong that) short time that CMF, VMF, PMF field etc. are representative but are HPMT technology in this research and manufacture and special quality did comparative analysis.

Effect of Magnetic Field Therapy Applied to Acupuncture Point on Dysmenorrhea Experienced by High School Girls (경혈점에 적용한 자장요법이 여고생의 월경통에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was investigate the effects of the magnetic field therapy applied to the acupuncture point on dysmenorrhea experienced by high school girls and to verify the possibility to use this therapy as an effective in-home nursing intervention. Data were collected from Feburary to April, 2006. The research procedure was that female students who visited in public health center had to fill in questionnaires with dysmenorrhea Grapic Rating Scale(GRS) and Adjective Labor Pain Rating Scale(ALPRS), the gauge of pain, before participating the experiment. And then each group was tested for 3 hours. Participants before and after applying magnetic treatment filled each questionnaires with dysmenorrhea GRS and ALPRS. The GRS points and ALPRS points in the experimental group, applied by Magnetic Field therapy on acupuncture point is lower than that in the comparison group. The above result has proved that the magnetic field therapy on acupuncture has an effect on the pain alleviation of dysmenorrhea of female students in high school. Therefore, propose this therapy to dysmenorrhea of female students. In this research, ALPRS indicated validity on dysmenorrhea, so for verifying validity, further research is necessary.

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the effects of magnetic therapy applying the principal of Sa-am Acupuncture on menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea in high school students. Methods: A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group, pre- and post-test design was used. Participants were 60 female high school students living in S city, 30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group. Data were collected from February to August 2008. Magnetic therapy was performed three days before menstruation for three menstrual cycles. Results: Magnetic therapy significantly reduced menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea. There was a significant difference in menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea between the experimental and control groups. Conclusion: Magnetic therapy may be an effective nursing intervention in reducing menstrual cramps and dysmenorrhea.

  • The outer-most electrons of metal atoms and the remining valence electrons of any molecular atoms make three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bondings. The electrons on the $\pi$-bonding orbital rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise and they then make electro-magnetic waves between atoms on the orbital because electron move between plus charged ions. The three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bonding orbitals are quantum-mechanically modeled by a cyclic Kronig-Penny Model and energy band structures are analyzed with their potential barrier thickness. The waves generated between plus charged ions are the particular $\pi$-far infrared rays, which have dual properties between material and electro-magnetic waves and can be measured not by modern electro-magnetic tester but biosensor such as finger's force tester. Because the $\pi$-rays can be modulated with electro-magnetic waves it can be applied for harmful electro-magnetic wave killers. Because the $\pi$-rays make new three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bonding orbitals in the material the food and drink can be transformed into a helpful physical constitutional property for human health. Distinction between crystalline and amorphous metals is possible because very strong crystalline $\pi$-bonding orbitals can not easily be transformed into another. The $\pi$-rays can also be applied for biofunctional diagnostics and therapy. Gravitational field is one of the electro-magnetic fields. Immediate Effects of Pulsed Magnetic Field in Subjects with Upper Trapezius Trigger Point

  • Purpose: This study was to determine the immediate effects of pulsed magnetic field (PMF) in subjects with upper trapezius (UT) trigger point (TrP). Methods: Fifteen subjects with UT TrP were recruited for the study's PMF group (pain threshold=$2.29kg/cm^2$), and 15 age-, weight-, and gender-matched subjects with UT TrP were recruited for control group (pain threshold=$2.25kg/cm^2$). Pressure algometer was used to measure pressure pain threshold on UT TrP and, cervical range of motion (ROM) inclinometer was used to measure cervical ROM. Surface electromyography was used to record UT, lower trapezius, and serratus anterior muscle activity and relative ratio during scapular plane abduction between pre- and post-treatment. Results: The PMF effectively improved pain threshold and concurrently increased ROM (rotation to the painful side, lateral flexion to the nonpainful side). In addition, the PMF may effectively deactivate UT activity during abduction and the muscle activity ratio between UT and serratus anterior. Conclusion: These findings provided empirical evidence that PMF can be an effective treatment method to reduce pain threshold, to increase cervical ROM, and deactivate UT activity in individuals with TrP.

  • Purpose: This paper describes a electron field presence of magnetic field, intensity and shape surface dose variation to clinical application possibility. Materials and Methods: The using 6 MeV electron and $10{\times}10\;cm^2$ field size, 9 hole to shielding block make the by measure the film, when the magnetic field position inside and outside of the X-Omat film and parallel plate ionization chamber using the surface dose measured. Results: Present of 4 cm to the side at angle about 3 degree from beam center, use of ring type magnetic is 0.9% increase the surface dose, lens block located in the magnetic field the surface dose 1.58% increase, half magnetic field's position on the side of them at the field center of the 3.6% increase of the surface dose. Conclusion: Surface dose variation is with magnetic field about the mean electron beam of progress direction change, orbit region patient's is inconvenient without surface dose increase percentage case goodness will be used as a useful way.
