Monte Carlo calculations were performed to demonstrate the dose modulation with dynamic magnetic fields in phantom. The goal of this study is to obtain the uniform dose distributions at a depth region as a target on the central axis of photon beam under moving transverse magnetic field. We have calculated the depth dose curves for two cases of moving magnetic field along a depth line, constant speed and optimal speed. We introduced step-by-step shift and time factor of the position of the electromagnet as an approximations of continuous moving. The optimal time factors as a function of magnetic field position were calculated by least square methods using depth dose data for static magnetic field. We have verified that the flat depth dose is produced by varying the speed of magnetic field as a function of position as a results of Monte Carlo calculations. For 3 T magnetic field, the dose enhancement was 10.1% in comparison to without magnetic field at the center of the target.

In this study, a Magnetic stimulation Pulse Train control technique is introduced and applied to Flyback converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode. In contrast to the conventional pulse width modulation control scheme, the principal idea of a Magnetic stimulation Pulse Train is to achieve output voltage regulation using high and low power pulses. The proposed technique is applicable to any converter operating in discontinuous conduction. However, this work mainly focuses on Flyback topology. In this paper, the main mathematical concept of the new control algorithm is introduced and simulations as well as experimental results are presented.

Pneumatic servo valve is an electro-mechanical device which change electric signals to a proper pneumatic signals, that is, flowrate and pressure. In this study, a pneumatic servo valve was designed and each simulation was conducted on any variation in the flowrate depending upon the magnetic force of the linear force motor and the displacement of the spool. And permanent magnet was used as a material for the plunger of the servo valve. Thereby, a low electrical power consumption type coil was desinged. And a modeling for the coil design was conducted by using the magnetic circuit. also, the feasibility of the modeling was verified by using a commercial magnetic field analysis program. The designed and fabrication of the spool and sleeve, position sensor, servo controller and the dynamic characteristic verified by the experiment.
Semiconductor quantum structures are often characterized by their energy gaps which are modified by the quantum size effect. Energy levels in semiconductors can be realized by optical transitions within confined structures. Photoluminescence spectroscopy in magnetic fields at low temperatures has proved to be a powerful technique for investigating the electronic states of quantum semiconductor heterostructures and offers a complimentary tool to electrical transport studies. In this review, we examine comprehensive investigations of magneto-excitonic and Landau transitions in a large variety of undoped and doped quantum-well structures. Strong magnetic fields change the diamagnetic energy shift of free excitons from quadratic to linear in B in undoped single quantum well samples. Two-dimensional electron gas induced by modulation doping shows pronounce quantum oscillations in integer quantum Hall regime and discontinuous transition at ${\nu}=1$. Such discontinuous transition can be explained as the formation of spin waves or Skyrmions.
This study was purpose to quantitative assessment of the resolution characteristics by using American college of radiology(ACR) phantom for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The MRI equipment was used (Achiva 3.0T MRI, Philips system, Netherlands) and the head/neck matrix shim SENSE head coil were 32 channels(elements) receive MR coil. And the MRI equipment was used (Discovery MR 750, 3.0T MRI, GE medical system, America) and the head/neck matrix shim MC 3003G-32R 32-CH head coil were receive MR coil. As for the modulation transfer function(MTF) comparison result by using ACR magnetic resonance imaging phantom, the MTF value of the ACR standard T2 image in GE equipment is 0.199 when the frequency is 1.0 mm-1 and the MTF value of the hospital T2 image in Philips equipment is 0.528. It was used efficiently by using a general sequence more than the standard sequence method using the ACR phantom. In addition it is significant that the quantitative quality assurance evaluation method for resolution characteristics was applied mutatis mutandis, and the result values of the physical image characteristics of the 3.0T MRI device were presented.

In this study, We applied the magnetic field that has CW frequency and AM frequency to heating magnetic nano powder. For this experiment, We set up the devices flat-type magnetic field generator with CW frequency and AM frequency. We supplied the current to encircling coil by adjusting the power of generating of magnetic field device for AC voltage through Slidacs and using way of LC resonance circuit and SMPS(Switching Mode Power Supply). Above the encircling coil, We covered the circular flat insulator like glass. And we located the well plate containing the magnetic nano powder liquor above the circular flat insulator and exposed the magnetic field to this well plate. Using the flat-type magnetic field generator with CW and AM frequency and the magnetic field measurement sensor(Magnetic pick up coil or Hall sensor), We measured the strength of the magnetic field of circular flat insulator's surface in each position. The temperature of the magnetic nano powder in the well plate was quantitatively measured by the magnetic field strength through the Fluoroptic thermometer.
We have developed an alternating magnetic field stimulation system consisting of a switched-mode power supply and a digital control circuit which modulates a duty ratio to maintain a magnetic field intensity of a few mT even while the frequency increases up to 4 kHz with a controllable coil temperature below $30^{\circ}C$ in air. This duty ratio modulation and water circulation are advantageous for cell culture under ac-magnetic field stimulation by preventing the incubator from exceeding a cell-viable temperature of $37^{\circ}C$. Although the temperature of the coil when subjected to a sinusoidal voltage rapidly increased, that of our system modulated by the duty factor did not change. This is a potentially valuable method to investigate the effects of intermediate frequency magnetic field stimulation on biological entities such as cells, tissues and organs.

As most of today's automatic transmissions in passenger car adopt a electro-hydraulic control system, the role of electronically controlled solenoid valves occupies an important position and it is essential to predict solenoid transient characteristics in order to design and evaluate the performance of the hydraulic control system. However, in general, both the magnetic and electrical parameters f the solenoid system are hardly known and it is not easy to model this section with moderate complexity although mechanical system could be developed using the classical second order system. This paper presents a dynamic modelling technique of a solenoid valve, that is controlled by pulse width modulation for an automatic transmission, in terms of system identification theory. In nonlinear computer simulation, it is shown that the identified systems which produce magnetic force to input duty cycle for various excitation signals predict the static and dynamic performance very well near the operating point and in experiment conducted to confirm the validity of identification theory for PWM solenoid valve, we find that there is a good agreement between the experimental data and simulation result. Hence, this model can be utilized in the development of pressure control system with PWM solenoid valve.
In order to measure fine rotation angles by magneto-optic effects of magneto-optical recording thin films, a polarization modulation method is used. In the experiment, the polarization of laser (He-Ne laser) beam is modulated by a Faraday rotator and the amplified modulated signals are selectively detected by phase sensitive detector. The magnetic Kerr rotation and Faraday rotation hysteresis loops are investigated by this method for thermally evaporated amorphous TbFeCo thin films and RF sputtered garnet thin films. Rotation angles about $0.25^{\circ}$ are measured easily from TaFeCo thin films. In the case of longitudinal Kerr rotation, very small rotation angle of $2.5\times10^{-3^\circ}$ is measured with good accuracy of the measurement (about $1\times10^{-3^\circ}$). And it is found that each thin films have the hysteresis curves of high coercivity and good squareness.
