실외 자기유도 무인운반차를 위한 자기 위치측정 장치 개발 (Development of Magnet Position Device for Outdoor Magnet Guidance Vehicle)

  • 본 연구는 자기 홀 센서의 특성으로 인해 실내 환경에서만 이용이 되었던 자기/자기-자이로유도 타입의 무인운반차를 실외 환경에서도 적용이 가능하도록 실외 주행용 자기 위치측정 장치를 설계 및 제작하는 것이다. 현재 이용되고 있는 자기 위치측정 장치는 측정 높이가 30mm로 바닥 환경이 고르고 평평한 실내 환경에 적합한 구조이다. 하지만 바닥 환경이 울퉁불퉁하거나 불균형적인 실외환경에 이용되는 무인운반차에는 부적합하다. 그 이유는 무인운반차 서스펜션이 부착되게 되고, 이 때 자기 위치측정 장치의 부착높이가 30mm 이하로 무인운반차에 가해진 충격으로 인해 장치와 바닥과의 충돌이 발생하게 되면 장치가 파손되기 때문이다. 따라서 실외 자기유도 무인운반차에 적용하기 위해서는 100mm 이상의 측정 높이를 가지는 자기 위치측정 장치가 필요하다. 현재 자기위치측정 장치의 성능 향상 및 개발에 관련된 다양한 연구들이 진행되었지만, 다양한 자기 홀 센서를 분석하여 본 논문에서는 자기위치측정 장치를 설계 및 제작하였고, 자기 홀 센서의 특성 정보를 이용한 특성 함수를 이용해 자성체의 위치를 검출하였다. 실험을 위하여 알루미늄을 이용한 실험 장비를 제작하였으며, 제안된 자기 위치측정 장치를 이용하여 실험한 결과 위치측정 정밀도 오차는 10mm 이하이고, 측정 높이는 평균 150mm 로 실외 자기유도 무인운반차에 적합한 것을 확인하였다.

홀센서를 이용한 파워 윈도우용 안티핀치 시스템 (Anti-Pinch System for Power Window by Using Hall Sensor)

  • Recently the power window system is widely used in automobiles to increase convenience of passengers and drivers. However some accidents or injuries have been caused by malfunction or misusage of the system. Therefore safety regulations of the system to cope up with these accidents have been strengthened gradually in many countries. Especially in America, since 2005, all vehicles which had power window system should be contented with FMVSS 118-S5 regulations. We suggest very low-cost anti-pinch window control system satisfying the regulation in this paper. Hall sensors are used and installed around a motor rotor with ring magnet to detect motor speed for anti-pinch. The optimum number of hall sensor and location angel of them are mainly investigated to get sufficient speed resolution for anti-pinch. Through some experiments, the validity of the suggested system was verified to satisfy the regulation.

Position Estimator Employing Kalman Filter for PM Motors Driven with Binary-type Hall Sensors

  • Application of vector control scheme for consumer products is enlarging to improve control performance. For the field-oriented control, accurate position detection is essential and generally requires expensive sensors. On the other hand, cost-reduction is important in home appliances, so that binary-type Hall-effect sensors are commonly used rather than using an expensive sensor such as an encoder. The control performance is directly influenced by the accuracy of the position information, and there exist non-uniformities related to Hall sensors in electrical and mechanical aspects, which result in distorted position information. Therefore, to get high-precision position information from low-resolution Hall sensors, this paper proposes a new position estimator consisting of a Kalman filter and feedforward compensation scheme, which generates a linearly changing position signal. The efficacy of the proposed scheme is verified by simulation and experimental results carried out with a 48-pole permanent magnet motor.

Rotor Position Detection of CPPM Belt Starter Generator with Trapezoidal Back EMF using Six Hall Sensors

  • Six-step commutation control widely used in brushless DC (BLDC) motor can be applied to consequent pole permanent magnet (CPPM) belt starter generator (BSG) with trapezoidal back electromotive force (EMF) in the starter state. However, rotor position detection with three Hall sensors in BLDC motor can hardly be employed in CPPM BSG due to asymmetric flux distribution in each pole side of CPPM BSG. This paper presents a low-cost rotor position detection method for CPPM BSG in which six Hall sensors are proposed to be used based on the analysis of flux distribution by 3D FEA. In the method, the six Hall sensors are divided into three groups and two signals in each group are combined through performing logic operations. In addition, offset angle between back EMF and the related Hall signal can be compensated by moving the Hall sensors. Experiments of a 2 kW CPPM BSG prototype have also been performed to verify the proposed method.

  • For the effective evaluation of superconducting properties of a coated conductor, with a long length, a non destructive characterization technique including a reel-to-reel (R2R) Hall measuring system have been developed. A non-contact R2R Hall sensor array system was particularly designed to measure the superconducting property of coated conductors. The superconducting properties of long length coated conductors were measured by using this device. It was demonstrated that this system was convenient to measure the intensity and distribution of the magnet field applied perpendicular to the surfaces of the coated conductors. Using this device, the defect and low critical current density(Jc) area of coated conductors could be detected in real-time measurement.

  • 자기테이프를 사용하는 대부분의 경량무인운반차들(AGCs)은 디지털 자기유도센서를 사용한다. 디지털 자기유도센서는 On/Off 타입으로 자기테이프의 위치측정 정밀도가 10~50 mm의 오차를 가진다. 또한 경량무인운반차에 설치된 모터의 자기장이나 주변 환경의 외부 자기장, 지자기 등으로 인하여 정확한 위치를 추정하기 힘들다. 이러한 오차로 인하여 경량무인운반차의 주행 시에 잦은 흔들림이 발생하게 되고, 정도가 심할 경우 이탈현상이 발생하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문은 양극성 아날로그 자기유도센서에 퍼지 추론 시스템의 적용을 제안한다. 퍼지는 다른 알고리즘에 비하여 내고장성과 불확실성에 강인하고, 실시간 작동에 유리하며, 비선형시스템에 사용하기 적합하다. 선행과제에서 제작한 양극성 아날로그 자기유도센서로 threshold를 두어 디지털 자기유도센서를 형성하고, 이를 이용하여 자석위치 값을 계산한다. On으로 인식된 아날로그 Hall sensor의 출력을 이용하여 퍼지 추론 시스템을 설계하고, 그 출력으로 디지털출력 값을 개선한다. 실험 결과, 제안된 방법이 기존의 자기유도센서보다 성능이 향상된 것을 확인하였다.

  • This paper supposes the vector control algorithm to estimate the rotor position of permanent magnet synchronous traction motor using the hall-effect sensor. The hall-effect provides 60 electrical degrees resolution in rotor position sensing and it is very low resolution. The algorithm makes resolution high as optical encoders or electromagnetic resolver. If necessary, the reference rotor position angle is controlled by adjusting the variable. When a rotor position sensor such as either a optical encoder or a electromagnetic resolver is misalignment, it is useful to align with those. The method on adjusting the reference rotor position angle can compensate for misalignment error degrees by 60 electrical degrees.

  • A high-accuracy magnetic field measurement device based on a cyclotron is being developed for accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS). In this study, a magnetic field measurement device consisting of a Hall probe sensor, piezo-motor, and step motor was developed to measure the magnetic field of the AMS cyclotron magnet. The Hall probe sensor was calibrated to achieve positional accuracy by using polar coordinates. The measurement results between the ratchet gear and piezo-motor, which are the instruments used for driving the measurement device, were analyzed. The measurement result of the device with a piezo-motor exhibits a difference of 5 Gauss (0.04%) as compared with the simulation result.

  • Generally, because of the cost and the restricted manufacture standard, the motor control for home appliance have been used the method using hall sensors or the sensorless method. In the conventional sensorless method using home appliance, the resistor and the back-EMF coefficient are varied by the motor speed and the load torque. Therefore, these variations cause the position error when the sensorless control is operated. This paper proposes the compensation method for sensorless position error using 2-hall sensor pulse signals.

Comparisons of Linear Characteristic for Shape of Stator Teeth of Hall Effect Torque Sensor

  • Electric Power Steering (EPS) system is superior to conventional Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS) system in aspect of fuel economy and environmental concerns. The EPS system consists of torque sensor, electric motor, ECU (Electric Control Unit), gears and etc. Among the elements, the torque sensor is one of the core technologies of which output signal is used for main input of EPS controller. Usually, the torque sensor has used torsion bar to transform torsion angle into torque and needs linear characteristic in terms of flux variation with respect to rotation angle of permanent magnet. The torsion angle of both ends of a torsion bar is measured by a contact variable resistor. In this paper, the sensor is accurately analyzed using 3D finite element method and its characteristics with respect to four different shapes of the stator teeth are compared. The four shapes are rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal and circular type.
