계층적 컨볼루션 신경망을 이용한 공작기계의 공구 상태 진단 (Machine Tool State Monitoring Using Hierarchical Convolution Neural Network)

  • 공작기계 상태 진단은 기계의 상태를 자동으로 감지하는 프로세스이다. 실제로 가공의 효율과 제조공정에서 제품의 품질은 공구 상태에 영향을 받으며 마모 및 파손된 공구는 공정 성능에 보다 심각한 문제를 일으키고 제품의 품질 저하를 일으킬 수 있다. 따라서 적절한 시기에 공구가 교체될 수 있도록 공구 마모 진행 및 공정 중 파손 방지 시스템 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 공구의 적절한 교체 시기 등을 진단하기 위해 딥러닝 기반의 계층적 컨볼루션 신경망을 이용하여 5가지 공구 상태를 진단하는 방법을 제안한다. 기계가 공작물을 절삭할 때 발생하는 1차원 음향 신호를 주파수 기반의 전력스펙트럼밀도 2차원 영상으로 변환하여 컨볼루션 신경망의 입력으로 사용한다. 학습 모델은 계층적 3단계를 거쳐 5가지 공구 상태를 진단한다. 제안한 방법은 기존의 방법과 비교하여 높은 정확도를 보였고, 실시간 연동을 통해 다양한 공작기계를 모니터링할 수 있는 스마트팩토리 고장 진단 시스템에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Human voice reacts very sensitively to human's minute physical condition. For instance, human voice disorders affect patients profoundly especially in the case of Parkinson's disease. Acoustic tools such as MDVP, can function as an equipment that measures various voice in different objects. Many different approaches have been applied for analyzing the voice disorders for diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. According to the voice data of suspected Parkinson's patients from UCI Machine Learning Repository, it is reported to have 23 people with Parkinson's disease and 8 healthy people. Applying Mahalanobis Taguchi System (MTS) for diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, the correct diagnosis performance is compared to previous research results.

Accordingly, multi-task machine tool takes a growing interest on the motion accuracy of feed drive system. In this study, measurement and diagnosis of motion errors ware attempted from circular pattern obtained by using DBB (Double ball bar) device. Those were obtained at both clockwise and counter clockwise motions in mutually perpendicularly intersecting three planes. The reliability of error measurement system for multi-task machine tool was verified by the direct test cutting.

  • In this paper, a method has been proposed for error measurement/diagnosis of CNC machine tools using the ball link bar on three dimensional space. For the circular motion error measurement, deviation between the desired and actual test path has been measured and analysed using a new type of ball link which incorporates ideal three point contact between reference balls and sockets. Computer program for the error evaluation has been developed and implemented under PC environment. Using the developed program, the circular test data on a CNC machine tool have been analysed, and thus, machine tool errors were effectively evaluated.

  • A rotor system is composed of a rotating shaft with supporting bearings. The rotor system is widely used in every rotating machinery such as the turbine generator and the high precision machine tools. A negligible error or malfunction in the rotor, however, can cause a catastrophic failure in the system then result in the environmental and economic disasters. A diagnosis of the rotor system is important in preventing these kinds of failures and disasters. Up to now, many researchers have devoted in the development of diagnosing tools for the system. The basic principles behind the tools are to retrieve the data through the sensors for a specific state of the system and then to identify the specific state through the heuristic methods such as neural network, fuzzy logic, and decision matrix. The proper usage of the heuristic methods will enhance the performance of the diagnostic procedure when together used with the statistical signal processing. In this paper, the methodologies in using the above 3 heuristic methods for the diagnostics of the rotor system are established and also tested and validated for the data retrieved from the rolling element bearing and journal bearing supported system.

  • In order to monitior machine tool condition and diagnose alarm states due to electrical and mechanical faults, and expert system using diagnostic parameters of NC machine tools was developed. A model-based knowledge base was constructed via searching and comparing procedures of diagnostic parameters and state parameters of the machine tool. Diagnostic monitoring results generate through a successive type inference engine were graphically displayed on the screen of the console. The validity and reliability of the expert system was rcrified on a vertical machining center equipped with FANUC OMC through a series of experiments.

  • In this study, it is developed the interactive DNC(Direct Numerical Control) system, in using RS-232C cable and auxiliary computer, through the diagnosis of planning process and information evaluation. this DNC system recognize the Manufacturing planning and control it. This DNC system has a different notation. It can be done by an operator who hasn't knowledge about personnel computer. It is operated with automatic planning and measurement tec. by operator, using part program on the NC(Numerical Control).

  • Most of the machine learning-based intrusion detection tools developed for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) are trained on network packet captures, and they rely on monitoring network layer traffic alone for intrusion detection. This approach produces weak intrusion detection systems, as ICS cyber-attacks have a real and significant impact on the process variables. A limited number of researchers consider integrating process measurements. However, in complex systems, process variable changes could result from different combinations of abnormal occurrences. This paper examines recent advances in intrusion detection algorithms, their limitations, challenges and the status of their application in critical infrastructures. We also introduce the discussion on the similarities and conflicts observed in the development of machine learning tools and techniques for fault diagnosis and cybersecurity in the protection of complex systems and the need to establish a clear difference between them. As a case study, we discuss special characteristics in nuclear power control systems and the factors that constraint the direct integration of security algorithms. Moreover, we discuss data reliability issues and present references and direct URL to recent open-source data repositories to aid researchers in developing data-driven ICS intrusion detection systems.

  • To meet the requirements of high performance and reliability as a industrial motor drive, we developed an integrated oil-line fault diagnosis and monitoring system which consists of DSP-based controller and PC-based MMI (Man-machine interface) program. The dedicated controller performs real-lime fault detections and protections. The MMI program monitors the on-line fault status of the drive system and offers full explanations of the fault name(WHAT?), deducible causes of the fault operation(WHY?), and chock points (HOW?) based upon the experiences of the expert. Also the TRACE data which was stored just before and after the accident can be scrutinized using MMI tools.
