A Study on CNC Performance Test System using the Dynamometer (Dynamometer를 이용한 CNC제어기 성능평가 시스템 개발)

  • It is difficult to separate those of NC controller from the error of machine tools because the conventional testing methods to inspect the performance are including the errors of moving system, therefore it has been used as the methods that compare the other controllers. Also, it is hard to predict the machine itself errors with the methods assembling the NC controller and moving system on machine because of the variable load conditions. In this study, the performance inspecting system was developed by analyse the $axis\_rotating$ properties of servo system finally outputting from NC controller. The axis torque was controlled by motor dynamometer and the rotating position accuracy was measured by this developed system.

  • For elderly people, an advanced training machine that uses actuator and can adjust load according to muscle activity is proposed. The proposed machine allows users to have a safe and effective training through exercise close to ordinal motion appears in daily life such as stretching or stooping motion. A muscle activity sensor real-timely monitors the activation level of user's muscle during the exercise and the training load is adjusted based on the measured data. The training load is exerted and continuously controlled by electric/pneumatic actuator.

  • In order to improve the international competitiveness of ferrule industry, the core technology of the second stage for ferrule grinding system is under developing. A high speed (10,000RPM) and high precision spindle system(Radial Runout 0.2 micrometer) bearing more cutting torque and force is designed considering the limitation of cost and size, the effect of heat, and various work-piece materials. A CAE software for machine elements and general machine system is used for preliminary evaluation and selection of design parameters. A dedicated program for the analysis of spindle system is used for final evaluation and selection of design parameter. The process how to evaluate and select using such tools are presented.

  • The tool wear that is developed by long-term machining in mold manufacturing with machining center makes a severe influence to the accuracy and the surface roughness. In this reason, tool-wear supervising system which has guaranteed high accuracy and high speed is needed to improve the measurement quality. Touching probe and touch sensor are widely used to measure the tool profile at on-machine measurement. In this paper, using the newly developed electric touch point measuring system, the Automatic Tool Compensation System is developed to correct the error of tool diameter resulted from the wear, and the operating method of this system is also provided.

  • This paper is about the development of automatic inspection system of welded nuts on Support hinge using machine vision for the improvement of working condition. Until now, projection welding process was performed by operator. Also, inspection of welded nuts is performed manually and recorded by the operator's naked eye. So these processes caused the produce of poorly-made articles. To improve this manual operation, inspection system using machine vision is introduced. Test algorithm, lighting system and program showed good results to the designed inspection system and led to the increment of productivity.

  • In this study, we developed rotating machine vibration condition monitoring system based upon Windows NT and DSP Board. Developed system includes signal analysis module, trend monitoring and simple diagnosis using threshold value. Trend analysis and report generation are offered with database management tool which was developed in MS-ACCESS environment. Post-processor, based upon Matlab, is developed for vibration signal analysis and fault detection using statistical pattern recognition scheme based upon Bayes discrimination rule and neural networks. Concerning to Bayes discrimination rule, the developed system contains the linear discrimination rule with common covariance matrices and the quadratic discrimination rule under different covariance matrices. Also the system contains k-nearest neighbor method to directly estimate a posterior probability of each class. The result of case studies with the data acquired from Pyung-tak LNG pump and experimental setup show that the system developed in this research is very effective and useful.

  • There are many attempts to apply AI technology to diagnose facilities or improve the work efficiency of the power industry. The emergence of new machine learning technologies, such as deep learning, is accelerating the digital transformation of the power sector. The problem is that traditional power systems face security risks when adopting state-of-the-art AI systems. This adoption has convergence characteristics and reveals new cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities to the power system. This paper deals with the security measures and implementations of the power system using machine learning. Through building a commercial facility operations forecasting system using machine learning technology utilizing power big data, this paper identifies and addresses security vulnerabilities that must compensated to protect customer information and power system safety. Furthermore, it provides security guidelines by generalizing security measures to be considered when applying AI.

  • We have investigated the variation of dwell and warm-up time for effects of positioning accuracy of the CNC machine tools with an laser measuring system. Also, we strdied the effect of improvement of the positioning accuracy by variation of the temperature for hollow ball screw, which mostly used as drive mechanism of CNC machine tools. We dbtained the effectiveness of cooling effect of the new cooling system, compared with the conventional cooling system.

  • To control internal temperature distribution of moulding machine is very important in molding products such as Polycabonate. Nylon and PVDF. In this experiment, we developed temperature measurement system in order to control temperature of moulding machine. It was measured by telemetering system because of rotational mechanism. Form experimental results, it was sufficient to apply to moulding machine under 250 .deg C.

  • In this paper we present the concepts of fuzzy submachine, which are the generalized form of crisp submachine of a fuzzy finite state machine. Also we extend the concepts of system of generators to fuzzified form.
