적층 압전액츄억이터 소자의 온도해 따른 전기적 특성 (Electrical properties of multilayer piezoelectric actuator with the variations of temperature)

  • In this paper, multilayer piezoelectric actuator was fabricated in order to develop ultrasonic linear motor. Multilayer actuator showed a high density of 7.78[$g/cm^3$], a large effective electromechanical coupling factor($K_{eff}$) of 0.259, a high mechanical quality factor( Qm ') of 1301, and high capacitance(c) of 19.32[nF]. Curie temperature was $343[^{\circ}C]$.

Input Noise Immunity of Multilayer Perceptrons

  • In this paper, the robustness of the artificial neural networks to noise is demonstrated with a multilayer perceptron, and the reason of robustness is due to the statistical orthogonality among hidden nodes and its hierarchical information extraction capability. Also, the misclassification probability of a well-trained multilayer perceptron is derived without any linear approximations when the inputs are contaminated with random noises. The misclassification probability for a noisy pattern is shown to be a function of the input pattern, noise variances, the weight matrices, and the nonlinear transformations. The result is verified with a handwritten digit recognition problem, which shows better result than that using linear approximations.

  • The method for immittance conversion and its mathematical properties are discussed. Some design methods for complex multilayer embeddeding networks are proposed. Furthermore, as an application of multilayer embedding networks, the equivalent circuit model of a blood vessel is shown with its simulation results.

  • In this work, we present a comprehensive and systematic approach for the derivation of the dc voltage generated by a magnetic multilayer undergoing ferromagnetic resonance, originally derived by Berger. Our alternative derivation applies especially in the limit of the spin diffusion length much longer than the carrier mean free path.

  • The characteristics and adhesion strength of TiN layer deposited by D. C. magnetron sputtering were investigated. Three types of TiN layers were deposited on STS304 stainless steel. Scratch tests were performed to determine the effect of deposition temperature, the thickness of coated TiN layer and the titanium inter-layer on the adhesion strength. TiN multilayer with titanium inter-layer showed the highest critical load in the deposition temperature range of $25^{\circ}C$ to $300^{\circ}C$. Adhesion strength of TiN multilayer with titanium inter-layer was raised from 15N to 20N by raising deposition temperature from $25^{\circ}C$ to $400^{\circ}C$. Adhesion strength was raised from 18N to 38N by increasing the thickness of outer layer of TiN multilayer from 2.1 $\mu\textrm{m}$ to 9.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$.

  • This paper is to determine the effect of binder burnout time and heating rate on the electrical propertries of type II multilayer ceramic capacitors(MLC). The quality of multilayer ceramic capacitor depends suitable on the binder burnout time, which is determined for at least 24 hours in the PVB-binder system. It is suggested that theelectrical properties of multilayer ceramic capacitor is due to the control of heating rate, with the dipole moment density from grain size distributiion. Comparing the fast firing with slow, we observed a small but consistent improvement in the electrical properties.

  • We propose a way to show the inherent learning complexity for the multilayer perceptron. We display the solution space and the error surfaces on the input space of a single neuron with two inputs. The evolution of its weights will follow one of the two error surfaces. We observe that when we use the back-propagation(BP) learning algorithm (1), the wight cam not jump to the lower error surface due to the implicit continuity constraint on the changes of weight. The self-relaxation approach is to explicity find out the best combination of all neurons' two error surfaces. The time complexity of training a multilayer perceptron by self-relaxationis exponential to the number of neurons.

OCT에 의한 다층 박막의 Spot Marking 분석 (Investigation of Spot Marking in Multilayer Thin Films using OCT)

  • We propose a novel application of optical coherence tomography (OCT) to monitor pit formation in laser irradiated optical storage materials. A multilayer optical storage recordable compact disk, is composed of multiple layers, each of different structure. Disks were irradiated with aQ-Switched Nd:YAG laser with an energy of 373 mJ. Post-irradiated disks were evaluated by OCT and those images were compared with optical microscopy. Our results indicate that OCT is a useful instrument to investigate pit formation in multilayer optical storage disks and might also provide information to optimize optical memory technology.

Self-assembly Coloration Approach on Cotton Fibers using Porphyrin

  • In this work, poly(diallyldimethylammoniumchloride) (PDDAC) and meso-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin were considered to produce the self-assembly fabrication films. This method is based on the layer-by-layer (LbL) deposition produced by the electrostatic attraction between positively charged PDDAC and negatively charged porphyrin ions. The result of multilayer fabrication was discussed with the level of color strength (K/S). K/S spectra of the fabricated multilayer films showed gradual increase behaviors. In addition, the color photo images of the fabricated multilayer films showed that PDDAC and porphyrin were successfully attracted by electrostatic self-assembly forces.

  • In this study, low temperature sintering multilayer piezoelectric transformer for DC-DC converter were manufactured using (PbCaSr)Ti(MnSb)$O_3$ ceramics and thin their electrical properties were investigated according to the vanation of frequency and load resistance. The voltage step-up ratio of multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed the maximum value m the vicinity of 1.3MHz and increased according to the increase of load resistance. When the output impedance coincided with the load resistance, the piezoelectric transformer showed the temperature rise of about $21^{\circ}C$ under the output power of 6W.
