Modified Finite Control Set-Model Predictive Controller (MFCS-MPC) for quasi Z-Source Inverters based on a Current Observer

  • The Finite Control Set-Model Predictive Controller (FCS-MPC) for quasi Z-Source Inverters (qZSIs) is designed to reduce the number of sensors by proposing a current observer for the inductor current. Unlike the traditional FCS-MPC algorithm, the proposed model removes the inductor current sensor and observes the inductor current value based on the deposited prior optimized state as well as the capacitor voltage during this state. The proposed observer has been validated versus a typical MPC. Then, a comparative study between the proposed Modified Finite Control Set-Model Predictive Controller (MFCS-MPC) and a linear PID controller is provided under the same operating conditions. This study demonstrates that the dynamic response of the control objectives by MFCS-MPC is faster than that of the PID. On the other hand, the PID controller has a lower Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) when compared to the MFCS-MPC at the same average switching. Experimental results validate both methods using a DSP F28335.

  • In this paper we developed the MPC sensor for steering control and steering control of the AGVDS(Autonomous Guided Vehicle Driving System) for Durability test. Among durability tests, the accelerated durability test has been widely used to evaluate the durability of vehicle structure and chassis parts in a short period of time on the designed road that has severe surface conditions. However it increased the drivers fatigue mainly caused by the severe driving conditions. The driver's difficulty to maintain the constant speed and control the steering wheel reduces the reliability of test results. In addition to the general detecting sensor for steering control was restricted by surrounding condition. So we need to develop steering control sensor was robust in the bad driving condition. In this paper we developed steering control sensor using magnetic induction which is robust in the bad driving condition and implemented the AGVDS.

센서 응용을 위해 포스포릴 콜린으로 개질된 고분자 막 표면의 미생물 점착 특성 (Adhesion properties of Microorganisms onto surfaces of phosphorylcholine(PC)-modified copolymer for sensor applications)

  • 본 연구에서는 포스포릴콜린 (MPC)을 이용하여 미생물의 점착현상을 방지하는 고분자 공중합체 막을 제조하여 각종 미생물에 대한 비점착 특성을 조사하였다. 즉, 유리, MPC를 함유하지 않은 PGMA, 그리고 5%, 10% MPC 함유량의 PGMA를 사용하여 E.coli. B.cereus, P.pastoris등 미생물의 점착특성을 그람염색과 SEM촬영을 통해 연구하였다. 그람음성 미생물 E.coli JM109는 MPC 개질 고분자 공중합체의 표면에 점착된 세포수가 유리나 MPC를 함유하지 않은 PGMA에 비해 96.5% 이상 감소하였다. 또한 그람양성 미생물 Bcereus 318은 유리 표면에 비해 MPC가 함유된 고분자 공중합체 표면에 점착된 세포수가 95% 이상 감소하였으며, 효모의 일종인 P.pastoris X-33은 유리나 MPC를 함유하지 않은 PGMA에 비해 MPC가 함유된 고분자 공중합체 표면에 92%이상 점착되지 않았다 한편, MPC 함량에 따른 고분자 공중합체 막에 점착된 미생물의 갯수는 MPC 함량이 각각 5%, 10%인 공중합체 표면에서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으므로 일정량 이상의 MPC가 고분자 공중합체 내에 함유될 때 비점착 효과는 크게 영향을 받지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과로부터 우수한 비점착 효과를 가진 MPC 개질 고분자 공중합체를 광학센서등의 검지부 표면에 코팅할 경우 미생물, 단백질등의 점착으로 인한 센서의 성능저하를 방지할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • This paper presents an event-triggered model predictive controller for adaptive cruise control system with sampled and quantized-data. Unlike existing works, a longitudinal continuous-time model is used for the predictive control of the system. To efficiently utilize network resources, event-trigger scheme is employed, which allows limited sensor and actuator signal satisfying the condition that the measurement of errors is over the ratio of a trigger level. The proposed control gain is obtained by solving a convex problem satisfying several linear matrix inequalities at every sampling times. Simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed design method.

  • 본 논문은 해군 호위함급에 장착/운용되는 LAS(Line Array Sensor, 예인선배열센서)로부터 A, B, C그룹 수중음향 신호의 시리얼 데이터를 입력 받아 약속된 Protocol로 Packing하여, 고속 데이터통신과 Optic-fiber채널 장거리 전송이 가능한 SFM(Serial FPDP Module)을 통해 신호처리단으로 실시간 전송하는 센서데이터 입출력처리보드의 설계/제작 및 시험에 관해 언급한다. VME(Versa Module Eurocard) 6U크기의 한정된 보드 공간을 고려하여 Freescale사의 PowerPC계열인 MPC8265 CPU와, 기존 외장 FIFO등의 외부디바이스를 줄이고 자체 시뮬레이션 데이터생성 등을 위해 Altera사의 CycloneIII 계열 FPGA등을 사용하여 설계하고, 실시간 데이터 전송을 보장하며 각종 Device Driver, Peripheral Controller등의 Library를 제공하는 RTOS인 VxWorks를 Porting하여 소프트웨어를 개발하였다.

An Approach for Identifying the Temperature of Inductance Motors by Estimating the Rotor Slot Harmonic Based on Model Predictive Control

  • In order to satisfy the urgent requirements for the overheating protection of induction motors, an approach that can be used to identify motor temperature has been proposed based on the rotor slots harmonic (RSH) in this paper. One method to accomplish this is to improve the calculation efficiency of the RSH by predicting the stator winding distribution harmonic order by analyzing the harmonics spectrum. Another approach is to increase the identification accuracy of the RSH by suppressing the influence of voltage flashes or current surges during temperature estimation based on model predictive control (MPC). First, an analytical expression of the stator inductance is extracted from a steady-state positive sequence motor equivalent circuit model developed from the rotor flux field orientation. Then a procedure that applies MPC for reducing the identification error of the rotor temperature caused by voltage sag or swell of the power system is given. Due to this work, the efficiency and accuracy of the RSH have been significantly improved and validated our experiments. This work can serves as a reference for the on-line temperature monitoring and overheating protection of an induction motor.

자율주행 버스의 주행 안전을 위한 차량 간 통신 및 모델 예측 제어 기반 종 방향 거동 계획 (Proactive Longitudinal Motion Planning for Improving Safety of Automated Bus using Chance-constrained MPC with V2V Communication)

  • This paper presents a proactive longitudinal motion planning algorithm for improving the safety of an automated bus. Since the field of view (FOV) of the autonomous vehicle was limited depending on onboard sensors' performance and surrounding environments, it was necessary to implement vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication for overcoming the limitation. After a virtual V2V-equipped target was constructed considering information obtained from V2V communication, the reference motion of the ego vehicle was determined by considering the state of both the V2V-equipped target and the sensor-detected target. Model predictive control (MPC) was implemented to calculate the optimal motion considering the reference motion and the chance constraint, which was deduced from manual driving data. The improvement in driving safety was confirmed through vehicle tests along actual urban roads.

  • The electrical properties of various metal phthalocyanine(MPc) thin film sensors were tested in the presence of $NO_x$ gas. Among the Phthalocyanine(Pc) thin films, lead phthalocyanine(PbPc) thin film showed the best results nd its sensitivity was over 80% at 5ppm of $NO_x$ gas. Optimal operating conditions including response time and cyclic treatment of $NO_x$ were tested and discussed.
