Comparative Effectiveness of Adjunctive Aripiprazole versus Bupropion Uses to Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor on the Specific Symptom of Depression : A post-hoc, Multi-Center, Open-Label, Randomized Study (세로토닌 재흡수 억제제에 대한 아리피프라졸 및 부프로피온 부가요법의 우울증 세부증상에 대한 효과 비교 : 다기관, 개방표지, 무작위 연구)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of adjunctive aripiprazole versus bupropion on specific symptoms of depression. Methods : Data were from 6-week, randomized, prospective, open-label multi-center study in 103 patients with major depressive disorders. Participants were randomized to receive aripiprazole (2.5-10 mg/day) or bupropion (150-300 mg/day) for 6 weeks. Change in four subscales of the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D17) that capture core depression symptoms was determined, and change in individual HAM-D17 items was also assessed. Changes in three composite subscales-anxiety, insomnia, and drive were also examined. Results : Within-group change in the four core subscales was large [effect size (ES)=1.30-1.47] and it was similar to that in the HAM-D17 total score. Differences between aripiprazole and bupropion were significant for each of the four core subscales and the HAM-D17 total score favored aripiprazole (p<0.001). On three composite scales, both treatments caused substantial changes in anxiety (within-group ES=1.10 (aripiprazole) vs. 1.00 (bupropion)], insomnia (ES=0.75 vs 0.50), and drive (ES=1.17 vs 1.15). Conclusion : This results suggested that both aripiprazole and bupropion adjunctive therapies with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors resulted in significant and clinically meaningful changes in core symptom subscales for depression.

Preliminary Design of a Urban Transit Passenger Guidance System Using Congestion Management Model (혼잡관리 모형을 이용한 도시철도 이용객 동선유도시스템 기본설계)

  • The congestion of railway vehicle and station shows up to 220%. Especially, transfer resistance of passenger increase rapidly by the collision of circulation. So increment of travel time, occurrence of safety accidents act as a factor that inhibits the utilization of urban railway station. In this paper, to improve traveling speed and comfort of urban rail passengers, urban transit passenger guidance system using congestion management model is proposed. The congestion management model that can mitigate a recurring/non-recurring congestion is constructed and the preliminary design of the system (middleware system, control system, guidance drive system) is carried out. Passenger Guidance System is configured by step for changing the external data into a form usable by the algorithm, step to perform the congestion management algorithm using the real-time data and historical data, step to control device based on the value that is calculated by congestion management algorithm, step to drive the device based on the information in the control system and circulation guidance devices. In the future, detail design will be performed based on the preliminary design. A prototype of the various devices according to the station structures and locations will be made. The control module of guidance device will be developed.

  • In the splay manufacturing process, conveyor systems are widely used for conveying panels. In this conveyor, a large number of grounding lines are used in order to prevent a product failure due to static electricity. In many cases, the grounding line is disconnected due to the rotation of the transporting roller or curling, leading to product failure. In order to solve such a problem, there is a growing need for a system capable of detecting disconnection of a ground wire in real time. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a disconnection monitoring system of ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) ground wire caused by friction between the conveyor drive part and the panel. The proposed system is a monitoring system that can detect disconnection and disconnection of ground wire using ATmega 2560 and Wheatstone Bridge circuit. It can detect disconnection of ground wire immediately and can take measures to reduce the defect rate due to static electricity. The system proposed in this paper is expected to be applicable to the production and test equipments of all industries where the ground wire is used.

  • This paper describes the speed control of the surface-mounted permanent-magent synchronous motors (SMPMSNM) for elevator drive. The elevator motor needs to be a compact and slim type. Essentially, the proposed scheme uses a vector control algorithm for a speed and torque control and Anti-windup technique is adopted to prevent a windup phenomenon. This system is implemented using a high speed 32-bit DSP (TMS320C31-50), a high-integrated logic device FPGA(EPF10K10TI144-3) to design compactly and inexpensively. The proposed scheme is verified by the results through digital simulation and experiments for a three-phase 13.3[kW] SMPMSM as a MRL(MachineRoomLess) elevator motor in the laboratory.

  • Permanent magnetic actuators (P.M.A.s) are widely used to drive medium-voltage-class vacuum circuit breakers (V.C.B.s). In this paper, a method for design optimization of a P.M.A. for V.C.B.s is discussed. An optimal design process employing the response surface method (R.S.M.) is proposed. In order to calculate electromagnetic and mechanical dynamic characteristics, an initial P.M.A. model is subjected to numerical analysis using finite element analysis (F.E.A.), which is validated by comparing the calculated dynamic characteristics of the initial P.M.A. model with no-load test results. Using tables of mixed orthogonal arrays and the R.S.M., the initial P.M.A. model is optimized to minimize the weight of the permanent magnet (P.M.) and to improve the dynamic characteristics. Finally, the dynamic characteristics of the optimally designed P.M.A. are compared to those of the initially designed P.M.A.

Improvement of Control Performance of PMSM in the low Speed Range (영구자석형 동기전동기의 저속도 영역에서 제어 성능 개선)

  • In this paper, improvement method of control performance by a full-order observer using reduced-order state equation is proposed in the low speed range. Full-order observer using reduced-order state equation is the motor speed and the disturbance torque observer. The proposed algorithm is very stable in the low speed range about 1.9[rpm]. The disturbance torque in the motor drive system degrades speed control performance in the low speed range. The proposed algorithm estimated both motor speed and disturbance torque. The estimated disturbance torque is used as a feedforward value in output of the speed controller, As a result, it improves the response of load torque in the low speed range(1.9rpm).

  • In this paper, the thermoacoustic refrigerating system was implemented and its operation was experimentally verified. The system is composed of several parts ,4 inch midrange speaker, speaker housing, chamber, stack housing, stack of plates, heat exchangers, thin pipe and cavity. The system is filled with He gas at 10 bar and contains T-type thermocouples and condenser microphone for measuring the temperature and pressure inside, respectively. In addition, cooling water is used for protecting speaker from thermal destruction and cooling down the hot heat exchanger. For the experimental verification of the implemented refigerating system, electrical impedance and resonance characteristics were measured. The results showed that it was most efficient to drive the system at 340 Hz. When operated at 340 Hz, $30^\circ{C}$ environments and 50 electical watts, the temperature of the cold region decreased by $16^\circ{C}$. The dissatisfaction mainly comes from the incomplete thermal insulation of the cold region. We also pointed out some guidelines to improve the performance for later study.

Rapid and Accurate Measurement of Diffusion Length of Minority Carriers of CIGS Solar Cells (CIGS 태양전지의 소수캐리어 확산 거리에 대한 새로운 측정 방안 연구)

  • Minority carrier diffusion length is one of the most important parameters of solar cells, especially for short circuit current density (Jsc). In this report, we proposed the calculating method of the minority carrier diffusion length ($L_n$) in CIGS solar cells through biased quantum efficiency (QE). To verify this method's reliability, we chose two CIGS samples which have different grain size and calculated $L_n$ for each sample. First of all, we calculated out that $L_n$ was 56nm and 97nm for small and large grain sized-cell through this method, respectively. Second, we found out the large grain sized-cell has about 7 times lower defect density than the small grain sized-cell using drive level capacitance profiling (DLCP) method. Consequently, we confirmed that $L_n$ was mainly affected by the micro-structure and defect density of CIGS layer, and could explain the cause of Jsc difference between two samples having same band gap.

  • The phase transformation in a film influences its surrounding. Effects of the precrystallization method, which removes influences on gate oxide caused by lateral crystallization, in metal-induced unilaterally crystallized polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistor devices and circuits were studied. Device by the method was shown to have a higher current drive, compared with conventional postcrystallized device. Moreover, we studied DC bias-induced changes in the performance of ring oscillator. PMOS inverters fabricated using precrystallized silicon films have very high dynamic and stable performance, compared with inverters fabricated using postcrystallized silicon films.
