On The Development of the Color Sequential LCD

  • Color sequential display is a well know technology. Hower, due to the slow response time of LC,the CSD has not been used in LCD. We have developed a unique LC color display, which can improve LC response time, improve the driving system, improve the gamma drive issue and increase the color gamut to more than NTSC120%.It also can get very low power consumption merit.

  • Recently, the insulation breakdown accident happened at 6.6kV inverter driving motor brings out the reliability decrease to the motor driving system. We need to find the solution with system engineering level. The objectives of this study are developing the appropriate filter for the drive to protect the motor and the insulation system of motor which is driven by inverter. The circuit parameters of cable are calculated by EMTP(Electromagnetic Transient Program) to simulate the system. And we use MATLAB to find the appropriate filter parameter. The simulation and the test results are compared to verify the suitability of the filter parameter. We clarify the cause of the deterioration of the inverter driving motor through the analysis of insulation breakdown accidents. The endurance test scheme and the configuration method of insulation system are established.

  • This letter proposes a novel calibration method for a multiport amplifier (MPA) to achieve optimum port-to-port isolation by correcting both the amplitude and phase of the calibration signals. The proposed architecture allows for the detection of the phase error and amplitude error in each RF signal path simultaneously and can enhance the calibrated resolution by controlling the analog phase shifters and attenuators. The designed $2{\times}2$ and $4{\times}4$ MPAs show isolation characteristics of 30 dB and 27 dB over a frequency range of 19.5 GHz to 22.5 GHz, respectively.

  • According to the Gartner Group, the market for ERP software in Korea is growing rapidly. However, the number of successful ERP implementations is quite few. Standard(unmodified) ERP's are built based on best practices. Improvements expected from successful implementation are based on best practices built into the software. Many improvements are lost through modification to "standard" software. Even minor changes in software can significantly reduce benefits. Both implementation time and risk factors are increased with modifications. We introduce a methodology, called package Enable Re-engineering (PER) and the main components of change management program by Ernst & Young. "To-Be" model could be developed through the software capabilities. And change management processes such as continuous education and self-developments are required. The philosophy of the change management processes is to let the software package drive the re-engineering practices and avoid moving the software toward the "As-IS" process. Extensive top management involvement, major focus on speed, extensive communication program, and "clear" picture of the future are essential components of change management. We are sure that the complied experiences and model have implications for practice and for academicians for their endeavors in their fields.

다중 참조 영상 움직임 추정을 위한 고속 전역탐색법 (A fast full search algorithm for multiple reference image motion estimation)

  • 본 논문은 다중 참조영상(multiple reference image)에 적용 가능한 새로운 고속 전역탐색 움직임 추정 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 기존의 비트율을 고려한 연속제거알고리즘(rate constrained successive elimination algorithm: RSEA)을 다중 참조영상에 확대 적용하는 방법이다. 첫 번째 참조영상에 대한 움직임 추정의 계산량에 비해 그 이후 참조영상에 대한 움직임 추정의 계산량이 적어질 수 있음을 보일 것이다. 계산량 감축을 위해, 본 논문에서 최적 움직임 벡터의 후보 블록의 개수를 감소시킬 수 있는 새로운 조건을 소개한다. 실험 결과을 통해 제안된 방법이 기존의 RSEA과 동일한 움직임 추정오차를 가지면서도 계산량을 감소시킴을 보일 것이다.

  • 현대 사회에서 자동차는 가장 중요한 이동수단으로써 사용되고 있다. 그로 인해 교통사고 또한 증가되고 있는 추세이다. 교통사고의 가장 큰 요소는 운전자이다. 그렇기 때문에 운전자에 대한 연구는 반응속도, 심리상태, 생체 선호, 연령, 주행패턴 등으로 다양하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 운전자의 숙련도에 따른 장애물 인식 반응속도를 측정하기 위한 임베디드 시스템을 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 시스템은 브레이크 측정 모듈과 OBD-2 스캐너, 블루투스 전송 모듈로 구성되어있다. 또한, 측정된 데이터를 저장하고 분석하기 위해 GUI 프로그램과 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 제안된 시스템을 통해 운전자의 반응 속도를 측정한 결과, 운전 숙련도를 판단할 수 있었다.

Design of a Rotary Electromagnetic Actuator with Linear Torque Output for Fast Steering Mirror

  • This paper focuses on the design of a flux-biased rotary electromagnetic actuator with compact structure for fast steering mirror (FSM). The actuator has high force density and its torque output shows linear dependence on both excitation current and rotation angle. Benefiting from a new electromagnetic topology, no additional axial force is generated and an armature with small moment of inertia is achieved. To improve modeling accuracy, the actuator is modeled with flux leakage taken into account. In order to achieve an FSM with good performance, a design methodology is presented. The methodology aims to achieve a balance between torque output, torque density and required coil magnetomotive force. By using the design methodology, the actuator which will be used to drive our FSM is achieved. The finite element simulation results validate the design results, along with the concept design, magnetic analysis and torque output model.

The Effects of Affiliation with Export Service-Providers on Sustainable Competitive Advantage: A Perspective of Small- and Medium-sized Exporters

  • Purpose - An appreciable number of small- and medium-sized exporters have continuously succeeded in their export marketplaces even though they do not possess enough resources. Advocating that affiliation with an export service-provider plays an important role in this phenomenon, we aimed to theoretically explain how export service providers' competences and relational factors drive small- and medium-sized exporters' competitive advantages in the long-run. Design/methodology - Drawing prominently on the resource-based view and the relationship-marketing theory, we built an empirically testable model. The model showed the roles of exporter capabilities, export service-provider competences, and relational factors on small- and medium-sized exporters' sustainable competitive advantages. Findings - The results of our research showed that exporter production and branding capabilities positively influenced their sustainable competitive advantage. In addition, export service-providers' marketing competence and relationship-building competence positively moderated the effects of exporter capabilities on their parties' sustainable competitive advantages. Finally, affiliation parties' interfirm trust and relationship commitment positively moderated the effects of export service-provider competence on the relationship between exporter capabilities and sustainable competitive advantages. Originality/value - Although prior studies have highlighted the effects of an exporter's resources on export performance, our research filled a knowledge gap of the effects of other resources on export performance. First, we proposed two types of export service-provider, competence marketing and relationship-building, influencing exporters' competitive advantage. Second, the effects of relational factors were proposed in the context of export affiliations.

리치트럭의 3단 마스트 흔들림 능동 제어 (Active Vibration Control of Three-Stage Mast of Reach Truck)

  • The reach truck, which is mainly used in warehouses, is required to have high-mast to improve its working efficiency and space utilization. The high-mast takes advantage of more vertical space but severe vibrations are easily generated at the end of the high-mast. These vibrations may cause a collision or misplacement of loading location at work. In this study, the vibration characteristics of a three-stage high-mast of a reach truck are analyzed, and an active vibration controller verified through a similar experiment is designed to reduce this vibration. A similar experiment for reach truck mast verifies the performance of the active vibration controller. By applying an active vibration controller designed for a real reach truck, the operations of the reach truck are made more efficient through the reduction of the vibration amplitude.

재조합 hTPO를 생산하는 형질전환 닭의 개발 (Generation of Transgenic Chickens that Produce Bioactive Human Thrombopoietin)

  • 본 연구는 vesicular stomatitis virus G glycoprotein (VSV-G)으로 피막이 형성되는 replication-defective MoMLV-based vector를 이용한 hTPO 헝질전환 닭의 생산에 관한 연구이다. 실험에 사용한 retrovirus vector의 구조는 hTPO 유전자의 발현 조절을 위해 internal promoter인 hCMV promoter를 이용하였으며 외래 유전자의 발현을 증가시키기 위해 woodchurk hepatitis virus posttranascriptional regulatory element (WPRE) 서열을 도입하였다. 재조합한 vector는 GP2 293 포장세포에 도입하여 virus를 생산하였으며 이 virus를 이용하여 감염시킨 여러 표적세포에서 hTPO의 발현과 생물학적 활성을 확인하였다. 재조합 hTPO의 생물학적 활성은 시판되고 있는 재조합 hTPO에 비해 우월한 것으로 확인되었다. hTPO 형질전환 닭의 생산을 위하여 1,000배 이상 고농도로 농축된 virus를 stage X 단계의 계란의 배반엽 층에 미세주입하여 대리난각 방법으로 배양하였다. 미세주입한 132개의 계란 중 21일 후에 11개의 계란에서 병아리가 부화하였으며 그중 4마리가 형질전환 개체로 확인되었다. 그러나 생산된 4마리 중 3마리가 부화 후 1개월 이내에 원인불명으로 사망하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 상업적 이용 가능성이 있는 생물학적 활성을 가진 사람의 cytokine 단백질의 대량 생산을 위한 생체 반응기로서의 형질전환 닭 개발의 시례를 제공하는데 있다.
