An Empirical Study on Moderating Effects of Espoused National Cultural Values on Internet Community Stickiness

  • Recently, the concept of web site stickiness receives attention as a measure of strategy to influence user's visit and behavior on web sites. Web site stickiness means site visit frequency and stay duration. This study investigates the moderating effect of espoused national cultural values on Internet community stickiness with the assumption that dimensional values of national culture can be internalized as individual’s espoused values. Espoused values (i.e., espoused national cultural values) are defined as the degree to which an individual embraces the values of his or her national culture. Our findings can be summarized as follows. First, femininity and power distance moderate the influence of user participation on Internet community stickiness. Second, uncertainty avoidance and power distance moderates the effect of social influence on Internet community stickiness. However, femininity and collectivism do not moderate the effect of social influence on Internet community stickiness. Third, uncertainty avoidance, femininity, and collectivism moderate the influence of network effect on Internet community stickiness. Fourth, masculinity does not moderate the influence of usefulness on Internet community stickiness.

  • Various fluoride films were investigated for a gate insulator of thin film transistor application. Conventional oxide containing materials like $SiO_2\;Ta_2O_5\; and \; Al_2O_3$ exhibited high interface states which lead to an increased threshold voltage and poor stability of TFT. In this paper, we investigated gate insulators using a binary matrix system of fluoride such as $CaF_2,\; SrF_2\; MgF_2,\; and\; BaF_2$. These materials exhibited an improvement in lattice mismatch, interface state and electrical stability. MIM and MIS devices were employed for an electrical characterization and structural property examination. Among the various fluoride materials, $CaF_2$ film showed an excellent lattice mismatch of 5%, breakdown electric field higher than 1.2MV/cm and leakage current density of $10^{-7}A/cm^2$. MIS diode having $Ca_2$ film as an insulation layer exhibited the interface states as low as $1.58\times10^{11}cm^{-2}eV^{-1}$. This paper probes a possibility of new gate insulator materials for TFT applications.

Temperature Dependence on Electrical Characterization of Epitaxially Grown AIN film on 6H-SiC Structures (6H-SiC 위에 형성한 에피택시 AIN 박막 구조에 대한 전기적 특성의 평가온도 의존성)

  • Epitaxial aluminum nitride films on 6H-SiC (0001) were fabricated using reactive RF magnetron sputtering and post-deposition rapid thermal annealing. The electrical properties of AIN films depending on film thickness and measurement temperature have been observed. Full width at half maximum of AIN (0002) was $0.1204^{\circ}$ (about 430 arcsec) X-ray rocking curve results. The equivalent oxide thickness (EOT) of AIN film was estimated as about 10 nm and the leakage current density was within the order of $10^{-8} 4/cm^2$. The dielectric constant of AIN film estimated from the accumulation region of C-V curve measured at $300^{\circ}C$ was 8.3. The dynamic dielectric constant was obtained as 5.1 from J vs. 1/T plots at the temperature ranging from R.T. to $300^{\circ}C$ From above, estimation temperature dependance of the electrical properties of Al/AIN/SiC MIS devices was affirmed and useful data compilation for the reliabilities of SiC MIS is expected.

Electrical Characteristics of MIS Type $Pb_{1-x}Sn_xTe$ (MIS형 $Pb_{1-x}Sn_xTe$ Diode의 전기적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is for the charge storage effect and C-V characteristics of MIS type diode which is the basic structural unit of charge-coupled device after growing the $Pb_{1-x}Sn_xTe$ crystal. $Pb_{1-x}Sn_xTe$ singlecrystal dbtained from the horizental furnace using Bridgman method. To judge whether the grown singlecrystal is suitable for specimen or not, it was investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis, thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis. The C-V characteristics of the specimen caused to anodic oxidation was the best when the insulator film's depth was 250[$\AA$]. Measuring the C-V characteristics aftermanufacturing MIS type diode resulted that the whole capacitance was the largest when the supply voltage was low, 0.3[V] and the capacitance also varied according to the variance frequence when the supply voltage is over 0.5[V]. From the above result, even if the supply voltage is low, the $Pb_{1-x}Sn_xTe$ also have a good charge storage effect.

Fabrication and Properties of AIN/SiC Structures using Reactive RF Magnetron Sputtering Method (반응성 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 법을 이용한 AIN/SiC 구조의 제작 및 특성)

  • Al/AlN/n-type 6H-SiC (0001) MIS structures were prepared by AlN layers on vicinal 6H-SiC(0001) substrates with reactive RF magnetron sputtering method. The AlN films were annealed at $900^{\circ}C$, $N_2$ atmosphere lot 1 minutes showed the best result. With XRD analysis, AlN(0002) peak was clearly found. The typical dielectric constant value of the AlN film in the MIS capacitors was obtained as 8.4 from photo C-V. Also, the gate leakage current density of the MlS capacitor was $10^{-10}\;A/cm^2$ order within the electric field of 1.8 MV/cm. Finally, the amount of interface trap densities, $D_{it}$, was evaluated as $5.3\times10^{10}\;eV^{-1}cm^{-2}$ at (Ec-0.85) eV.

Causes of Chronic Hip Pain Undiagnosed or Misdiagnosed by Primary Physicians in Young Adult Patients: a Retrospective Descriptive Study

  • Background: Hip pain is a common musculoskeletal complaint in general practice. Although comprehensive diagnostic approach on hip pain is mandatory for adequate treatment, un- or mis-diagnosis is not rare in primary care. The aim of this study was to analyze descriptively un- or mis-diagnosed hip pain cases referred from primary care to a tertiary hospital, especially in young adults ${\leq}50years\;old$. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed a consecutive cohort of 150 patients (${\leq}50years\;old$) with chronic hip pain (${\geq}6weeks$), which was not diagnosed or misdiagnosed based on the information provided on the referral form. Results: Overall an average 32 cases/month were referred due to hip pain without a diagnosis or with an incorrect diagnosis. Among them, 150 patients were enrolled in this study and 146 (97.3%) could be allocated to a specific disease by using data from routine clinical practice. Four common final diagnoses were femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome (55.3%), hip dysplasia (HD, 13.3%), referred pain from the lumbar spine (9.3%), and spondyloarthritis (SpA, 7.3%). In patients with FAI syndrome, 37 (44.0%) had pincer-type FAI and 33 (39.8%) had combined-type. Although the pain site or gender was not tightly clustered, the distribution of final diagnosis was significantly different according to hip pain location or gender. Especially, SpA or HD was not observed in younger women subgroup or elder men subgroup, respectively, when stratified by the mean age of participants. Conclusion: Most (> 80%) young patients with hip pain, a difficult issue to diagnosis for many primary physicians, had FAI syndrome, HD, spine lesions, and SpA. This study could give a chance to feedback information about cases with un- or mis-diagnosed hip pain, and it suggests that primary physicians need to be familiar with the diagnostic approach for these 4 diseases.

On the AR Coating Method of Al-MIS(p-Si) Solar Cel (Al-MIS(p-Si) 태양전지의 AR Coating 방법)

  • We found that the maximum efficiency of Al-MIS (p-Si) solar ceil was shown at 80$\AA$ thickness of Al-film which was deposited with slower velocity than 0.6$\AA$/sec. It was coated with ZnS and SiO for Anti-Reflecting. In single coating, ZnS and SiO film had maximum Isc at 570 and 690 A thickness, respectively. We confirmed that these results agreed well with the quarter coating condition; n1d1=λ/4. In double coating, we held the one layer with its optimum thickness in single coating and controlled the other layer. The maximum value of Isc in this case was almost the same with it in single coating but was maintained its value in so wide range of thickness. Keeping the relation; n1d1=n2d2 as another way, we made the total thickness of film thinner to 70-90% of the sum of each optimum thickness in single coating. In this case Isc was higher value than 20% of it in any other previous case and was retained so wide range of thickness.

Precision Analysis of GPS Surveying Using Continuos Stations (상시관측소의 데이터를 이용한 GPS측량의 정밀도분석)

  • This study is aimed to suggest a practical use of GPS continuous stations by conducting the precision analysis using its data. Currently dozens of continuous stations have been installed and operated since the first GPS continuous station built by KAO(Korea Astronomy Observation) in 1985. The utilization of the surveyed information, however, has been under-developed regardless of a significant investment, which leads the necessity of utilization plan. The results of this study show that the mis-closures between the two points at University of Incheon and Suwon/Seoul stations of NGI(National Geography Institute), Seoul stat ion of KAO, and Incheon station of MOGAHA(Ministry Of Government Administration and Home Affairs) are 0.0206m, 0.0118m, 0.0129m and 0.0024m respectively. It indicates that the analyzed mis-closures were less than the allowed values ill the primary/secondary control point specification for GPS surveying, i.e. a mis-closure less than 30mm for the distance less than 30km and a mis-closure less than $IPPM{\times}D(km)$ for the distance greater than 30km.

Severe SARS-CoV-2 Infection With Multiorgan Involvement Followed by MIS-C in an Adolescent

  • Children and adolescents with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) generally have mild symptoms. Severe infection due to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2) involving multiorgan dysfunction is rare in this population. Herein, we present an unusual case of severe SARS-CoV-2 infection with multiorgan involvement followed by multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) in a vaccinated 16-year-old boy. The patient was unconscious on initial presentation, and had severe paralytic ileus. On laboratory examination, there was severe metabolic acidosis, lymphocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, elevated inflammatory markers, elevated liver enzymes, and evidence of acute kidney injury with proteinuria and hematuria. His symptoms improved with the administration of remdesivir and dexamethasone. The patient briefly experienced MIS-C 2 weeks after the diagnosis of COVID-19, but the patient was discharged without any complications.

Dynamic Modeling and Repulsive Force Control of Medical Hpatic Master (의료용 햅틱 마스터의 동적 모델링과 힘 반향 제어)

  • In this research, a new type of haptic master device using electrorheological(ER) fluid for minimally invasive surgery(MIS) is devised and control performance of the proposed haptic master is evaluated. The proposed haptic master consists of ER bi-directional clutch/brake for 2 DOF rotational motion(X, Y) using gimbal structure and ER brake on the gripper for 1 DOF rotational motion (Z). Using Bingham characteristic of ER fluid and geometrical constraints, principal design variables of the haptic master are determined. Then, the generation of torque of the proposed master is experimentally evaluated as a function of applied field of voltage. A sliding mode controller which is robust to uncertainties is then designed and empirically realized. It has been demonstrated via experiment that the proposed haptic master associated with the controller can be effectively applied to MIS in real field conditions.
