  • Rice (Oryza Sativa) is an important source of food for the people of our country, even though of world also .It is also considered as the staple food of our country and we know agriculture is the main source country's economy, hence the crop of Rice plays a vital role over it. For increasing the growth and production of rice crop, ground-breaking technique for the detection of any type of disease occurring in rice can be detected and categorization of rice crop diseases has been proposed in this paper. In this research paper, we perform comparison between two classifiers namely MDC and Bayes' classifiers Survey over different digital image processing techniques has been done for the detection of disease in rice crops. The proposed technique involves the samples of 200 digital images of diseased rice leaf images of five different types of rice crop diseases. The overall accuracy that we achieved by using Bayes' Classifiers and MDC are 69.358 percent and 81.06 percent respectively.

  • This paper presented a brief introduction along with various wireless standards which provide an interactive way of interaction among the vehicles and provides effective communication in VANET. Security issues such as confidentiality, authenticity, integrity, availability and non-repudiation, which aims to secure communication between vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I). A detailed discussion and analysis of various possible attacks based on security services are also presented that address security and privacy concern in VANETs. Finally a general analysis of possible challenges is mentioned. This paper can serve as a source and reference in building the new technique for VANETs.

  • Au-Cu alloyed coating layer were found by Hg-amalgam process and it seemed to be used Cu-amalgam process similar to Au-amalgam. Coated layer is dense and unique, Thickness of layer was 1.5 to $18.0\mum$ which had 95.3 to 99.8% purity of gold Matrix metal mostly cosists of forged copper alloy which had high purity and ferrite ($\alpha$) strusture. It showed excellent refining technical level at that time. Aowever, the nail, ferrous matrix used for strength needed, composed of silver foil packed and gold layer for adherence between ferrous matrix and gold layer

  • We present observational estimation of the infrared (IR) luminosity function (LF) of local (z < 0.3) star-forming (SF) galaxies derived from the AKARI NEP-Wide samples. We made an analysis of the NEP-Wide data with optical spectroscopic information allowing an accurate determination of luminosity function. Spectroscopic redshifts for about 1650 objects were obtained with MMT/Hectospec and WIYN/Hydra, and the median redshifts is about 0.22. To measure the contribution of SF galaxies to the luminosity function, we excluded AGN sample by comparing their SEDs with various model template. Spectroscopic redshifts and the AKARI's continuous filter coverage in the mid-IR (MIR) wavelength (2 ~ 25 micron) enable us to avoid large uncertainties from the mid-IR SED of galaxies and corresponding k-corrections. The 8-micron luminosity function shows a good agreement with the previous works in the bright-end, whereas it seems not easy to constrain the faint-end slope. The comparison with the results of the NEP-Deep data (Goto et al. 2010) suggests the luminosity evolution to the higher redshifts, which is consistent with the down-sizing evolutionary pattern of galaxies.

  • We report preliminary results from our analyses on the star-forming galaxies in the Herschel/SPIRE survey data over the AKARI/NEP-Wide Field. In this work, we utilize a combination of the SPIRE point source catalogue containing ~ 4,800 sources distributed over the wide (5.6 sq. deg) field and the spectroscopic redshift (zSPEC) data for 1790 selected targets obtained by MMT/Hectospec and WIYN/Hydra. Our analyses take advantages of multi-wavelengths photometric data (28 bands at most) covering from u* to $500{\mu}m$ band as well as continuous MIR wavelengths sampling by AKARI and WISE (4 to $25{\mu}m$). Various physical properties such as total infrared luminosity (LTIR), star formation rate (SFR), and luminosity functions (LFs) will be presented.

  • This paper investigates the operational modes of buck dc-dc converters and their energy transmission methods. The operational modes of such converters are classified in two types, discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and continuous conduction mode (CCM). In this paper, the critical inductance relation of DCM and CCM is determined. The equations of the output voltage ripple (OVR) for each mode are obtained for a specific input voltage and load resistance range. The maximum output voltage ripple (MOVR) is also obtained for each mode. The filter size is decreased and the minimum required inductance value is calculated to guarantee the minimization of the MOVR. The experimental and simulation results in PSCAD/EMTDC prove the correctness of the presented theoretical concepts.

  • The magnetoimpedance of $Fe_{91.5-x}Zr_7B_xCu_1Al_{0.5}$alloys has been measured to investigate the influence of structural changes in the nanocrystallization process after thermal treatment. Annealing was performed at temperatures of $350^\circ{C}$, $450^\circ{C}$, and $550^\circ{C}$ for 1 hour in a vacuum. Ultra soft magnetic behavior was observed in the samples annealed at $550^\circ{C}$. The magnetoimpedance ratio and the longitudinal permeability ratio coincided with the softness of the magnetic properties of the thermally treated samples.

  • Star formation activities dominate the evolution of galaxies. Elliptical galaxies are believed to be old galaxies in the Hubble sequence, and elliptical galaxies at different evolution epochs might have different star formation activities and/or morphologies. We investigate the connection between star formation rates and the morphology of elliptical galaxies. With the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and the Galaxy Zoo, we select a sample of elliptical galaxies by morphology and consider their infrared emission as an index of star formation rate to study the relation between the star formation rates and their morphological properties, such as ellipticities. In addition, we select some nearby spiral galaxies with very low MIR emission to probe the mechanisms of these red spiral galaxies. We display our preliminary results and discuss their implication on the evolution of galaxies in this poster.

  • The Spitzer Public Legacy Survey of the UKIDSS Ultra Deep Survey (SpUDS) has been carried out with four IRAC bands and one MIPS band (24um). SpUDS surveys 1 square degree of the UDS field, that has been covered by one of the deepest near IR surveys and by various multiwavelength observations from X-ray to radio (XMM, GALEX, Subaru, SCUBA, VLA). We present a summary of the photometric data including number counts derived at 3.6-24 microns. In conjunction with extensive multiwavelengh data, we are able to show the multiwavelenght color distribution of MIR sources, and how different SED types contribute to the number counts.
