Recently, product life-cycles are shortening faster than ever before, and companies with a suggestion system are in better position to overcome this shortening life-cycle and thus promote customer satisfaction. Suggestion systems, however, are not actively utilized on the production floors in many firms. This study showed that small-sized and medium-sized firms where a suggestion system is properly functioning by a strong will of top management are not many in Gangwon-do area. In considerable number of companies, a suggestion system is informally and spontaneously applied by the workers on the production floors not by company-wide systems. A suggestion system is required as a means of creating future value-added and it is a matter of course that the role of top management, together with middle-class managements' influence is quite important in the course of the successful application of it. A suggestion system, to be successful, calls not only individual efforts but also positive corporate cultures.

BACnet is an international standard communication protocol especially designed for building automation and control systems. In this paper, a reference model of network management system for BACnet is proposed and its implementation method is introduced. In order to evaluate the feasibility and validity of proposed network management system, it is applied to a real experimental model of BACnet network system. Proposed network management system complies with standard BACnet protocol and its functions are implemented in software without hardware dependencies so that it can be applied not only to newly installed BACnet system but also to already installed BACnet system by software upgrade. The network management system and its implementation method introduced in this paper will help BACnet-based automation system to be managed efficiently and they can be practically applied in real BACnet-based automation systems.

Many organizations implement knowledge management initiates by developing knowledge management systems. This study aims at investigating knowledge sharing behaviors in a knowledge management system and identifying factors affecting such behaviors. To do this, we defined knowledge sharing behaviors in a knowledge management system as registration and view of knowledge at a system. Based on this definition, we established a research model by identifying seven factors affecting both behaviors as independent variables: Learning orientation, Pressure to share knowledge, Top management support, Reward for knowledge sharing, Level of experience in IT, System quality, and Knowledge quality. The 14 hypotheses derived from a research model were tested by a correlation analysis and a multiple regression analysis with data from 165 respondents of the 21 organizations which implemented knowledge management initiatives. As results, both of knowledge registration and knowledge review were strongly affected by the learning-orientedness of an organization. Finally, we discussed results and limitations of this study.

With rapid changes in the business environment, many organizations pursue to manage cost management and performance management of the organizational business activities over the concept of profit management strategically, But the strategic enterprise management system is implemented individually and is not integrated. And the integrated model of strategic enterprise management is ambiguous and many consulting firms didn't suggested the proper model yet. Therefore in this study we studied the strategic enterprise management system, And we studied how to try to integrate the various components of the strategic enterprise management system through the case of the domestic L company site that implemented ABC/ABM, ABS, BSC, business planning & forecasting system recently.

Needs of automation and computerization in the construction industry has been recognized but the implementation of e-business solutions with project management systems has not been fully explored. In order to cope with different management practices in home office and project sites, integration of two popular systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Project Management System (PMS) is essential. The objective of this study is to find ways to functionally and systematically integrate ERP and PMS. With the integration of ERP and PMS, a project will be managed much more efficiently and effectively. It is expected that this study will benefit system integrators and help them to understand construction management processes and integrate the solutions with minimized programming work.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the impact of FSSC 22000 food safety management system characteristics on the business performance of food-related companies and to verify the mediating effect of organizational capabilities in the relationship between them. Methods: To achieve this, a survey was conducted among employees of food companies in Seoul and the metropolitan area that have implemented the FSSC 22000 food safety management system, and the following main results were derived. Results: First, the FSSC food safety management system factors, such as measurement/analysis and improve- ment, documentation, management responsibility, and service and product realization, were found to have a significant positive (+) impact on organizational capabilities. The relative impact was in the order of measurement/analysis and improvement, documentation, management responsibility, and service and product realization. Second, organizational capabilities were found to have a significant positive (+) impact on business performance. Third, the FSSC food safety management system factors, such as measurement/analysis and improvement, management responsibility, resource management, and documentation, were found to have a significant positive (+) impact on business performance. The relative impact was in the order of measure- ment/analysis and improvement, management responsibility, resource management, and documentation. Fourth, the factors of management responsibility, resource management, measurement/analysis and improvement, and documentation, excluding resource management factors, were found to have a positive impact on business performance through the mediation of organizational capabilities. Conclusion: The results of this study may provide important implications for the implementation and efficient operation and management of the FSSC 22000 food safety management system in enhancing the business performance of food-related companies.

This study is aimed to develop a system to position and manage object flow in real time. Logistics management system which position objects and vans using GPS is required to load, unload and keep freight effectively and in real time at sea or airport. In this study, a management system which is consisted of five sub-systems is developed; GPS position analysis system, GPS interface system, mapping system, network system and database management system.

A web based watershed and sewer management system was developed for the analysis of stormwater runoff and sewer flow, and for optimal operation of sewer works using ArcView and SWMM. SWMM and ArcView were dynamically linked together using Avenue and Visual Basic in order to construct user-friendly management system. The developed system was applied to Choonchun city to verify its utilities. All the relevant field data were analyzed on the basis of developed system, and the modeling of runoff and sewer flow was implemented using RUNOFF and TRANSPORT blocks in SWMM. This system was connected to the management system of surface and subsurface environment management system in order to develop an integrated environmental management system. Futhermore, this system will be a critical part of overall control system of sewer works including sewer line and wastewater treatment plant. As this system can provide comprehensive prediction of flow and pollution profiles and analytical tool equipped with Web-GIS, it could serve widely as a tool not only for optimal management, but also for decision support system to examine the efficiency of planning and implementation of sewer projects.

Korean government and companies have given a lot of their efforts to exchange electronic documents between themselves and their partners. As the results of them. Korean EDI standards were made by Korean EDIFACT Committee and the standards have been used by companies and governmental organization in Korea. However, Korean export customs clearance EDI system is based on VAN(Value Added Network) and one VAN company ha monopolistic right to relay EDI documents to Korean Customs Service. Therefor is leads to a lot of problems such as inconvenient software, expensive transmission fee and the difficulty of connection with the in-house systems of user companies. To solve these problems, a few good solutions and systems have been suggested and one of them is the Internet EDI. we will suggest a new export customs clearance EDI system running on the Web. This system is basically an Internet EDI system, but we have developed this system using XML instead of HTML, XML is a new markup language with merit such as isolating data from style of documents. This system consists of 7 modules, schema/style/template management, XML/EDI document management, XML/EDI transformation, EDI transmission, certification management and log management. Also this system can be used with other traditional EDI systems that have UN/EDIFACT standards. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of XML/EDI system for customs clearance. The development of this system will be a leading study for XML/EDI standards in export clearance EDI system.

The purpose of this study is to review the changes in the aviation safety management system, how that system has evolved and what forces caused these changes to take place. Also included is an examination of the development process of the aviation safety management system in view of the new institutionalism, identifying the patterns of change. Based on the results of this study, I propose policy methods to design a desirable civil aviation safety system with a view toward raising the safety standards in the Korean civil aviation community. The major analysis variables are as follows: first, aviation accidents caused by external factors and international standards as independent variables; second, environmental changes and political processes affecting aviation safety management system as major mediating variables; and third, the aviation safety management legal system, the aviation safety management organizations and an expert participation system as dependent variables. The institutional changes and continuance of the aviation safety management system show that when specific circumstances arise, the continuance lasts depending on the path dependency, and in a certain circumstance, when immanent changing factors reach a critical point, the system suddenly changes by a punctuated equilibrium, which are all included in this study.
