A 3-dimensional model of curved steel box girder bridges without diaphragm was presented. This model yielded results that were consistent with those of the parameter analysis using the BEF and Ritz methods. Se veralmodels with diaphragms were analyzed to estimate the appropriate diaphragm spacing. In case of 50m span, models A-10, A-20, A-30, B-10, B-20, and B-30 were found to have 5(8.3m), 7(6.25m), 8(5.5m), 4(10m), 6(7.1m), and 7(6.25m) diaphragms, respectively. In addition, a formula that presents the ratio of distortional stress to bending stresswas created from the results of the 3-dimensional FEM model analysis.

This study evaluates the efficacy of titanium tetrachloride ($TiCl_4$) on phosphorus (P) removal in synthetic wastewater. Jar test experiments were performed at various $TiCl_4$ concentration (0.25-0.59 mM), and intensities of slow (30-60 rpm) and rapid (100-250 rpm) mixings to determine the conditions at which P removal was most efficient. The P-removal efficiency was highest (about 99%) at $TiCl_4$ concentration $([TiCl_4])=0.39mM$ with rapid-mixing intensity=100 rpm and slow-mixing intensity=30 rpm. The slow-mixing intensity was more sensitive than the rapid-mixing intensity to the P removal efficiency when [$TiCl_4$] was low ($0.25{\leq}[TiCl_4]{\leq}0.27mM$).
Artificial canals were prepared by means of engine reamer on the slab which was made of clear acrylic resin. The shape of this canal is similar to the natural canal, the size is almost same as Kerr File No. 70, and the length is about 20mm. Sealer, Zine oxide eugenol mixture was prepared as matched to spatula test. Lentulo filler was inserted as deep as middle portion and apical one-third portion of the canal and the dental engine was driven in the speed of 1,000 and 3,000 r.p.m. in 30 seconds and 60 seconds with feeding of the sealer. The author measured the excess flow of the canal sealer from Lentulo end. Following are the results obtained from this study. 1. Lentulo insertion at the middle portion 1,000 r.p.m. in 30 seconds case: 0.21mm Same as above in 60 seconds: 0.20mm 2. Lentulo insertion at apical-thirds. 1,000 r.p.m. in 30 seconds: 0.22mm. Same as above in 60 seconds: 0.20mm. 3. Lentulo insertion at middle portion. 3,000 r.p.m. in 30 seconds: 0.14mm Same as above in 60 seconds: 0.25mm. 4. Lentulo insertion at apical-thirds, 3,000 r.p.m. in 30 seconds: 0.11mm Same as above in 60 seconds: 0.27mm.
Since it has been reported that the depolarization-induced NE release is inhibited by activation of presynaptic $A_1-adenosine$ heteroreceptor in hippocampus, a large body of experimental data on the post-receptor mechanism of this process has been accumulated. But, the post-receptor mechanism of presynaptic $A_1-adenosine$ receptor on the NE release has not been clearly elucidated yet. Therefore, it was attempted to clarify the participation of $K^+-channel$ in the post-receptor mechanisms of the $A_1-adenosine$ receptor-mediated control of NE release in this study. Slices from rat hippocampus were equilibrated with $^3H-norepinephrine$ and the release of the labelled products was evoked by electrical stimulation (3 Hz, 5 $VCm^{-1}$, 2 ms, rectangular pulses), and the influence of various agents on the evoked tritium-outflow was investigated. Adenosine, in concentrations ranging from $1{\sim}30\;{\mu}M$, decreased the NE release in a dose-dependent manner, without affecting the basal rate of release. 4AP $(1{\sim}30{\mu}M)$, a specific A-type $K^+-channel$ blocker, increased the evoked NE release in a dose-related fashion, and the basal rate of release is increased by 10 and $30{\mu}M$. TEA $(1{\sim}10{\mu}\;M)$, a nonspecific $K^+-channel$ blocker, increased the evoked NE release in a dose-dependent manner without affecting basal release. The adenosine effects were significantly inhibites by 3 ${\mu}M$ 4AP and 10 mM TEA treatment. 4AP $(30{\mu}M)-$ and TEA (10 mM)-induced increments of evoked NE release were completely abolished in $Ca^{++} free, but these were recoverd in low $Ca^{++} medium. And the effects of $K^+-channel$ blockers in low $Ca^{++} medium were inhibites and abolishes by $Mg^{++} (4 mM) adding and TTX $(0.3{\mu}M)$ adding medium, respectively. These results suggest that the decrement of the evoked NE-release by $A_1-adenosine$ receptor is mediated by 4AP and TEA sensitive $K^+-channel$.
To improve the properties of non-waxy rice flours for baking, soaked-wet milled rice flour (SWRF) was adjusted moisture content (MC) to 30 and 50 % and heated at 50 and $70^{\circ}C$ in a shaking water bath for 6 and 18 hrs, respectively. Moisture-heat treated rice flours were investigated with regard to particle size distribution, and morphological, physicochemical and pasting properties for comparing dry and wet milled flours. The particle size of rice flour treated with 30% MC was distributed between $4-20{\mu}m\;and\;100-200{\mu}m$, like SWRF. The particles above $200{\mu}m$ in the flour were produced at higher heating temperature. By SEM, starch granules were found in the rice flours treated with 30% MC, who whereas aggregated starch granules were shown in the flours treated with 50% MC. Moisture-heat treatment using higher MC and heating temperature decreased the lightness and increased the yellowness of non-waxy rice flours. Water binding capacity of 30% moisture treated rice flour was similar to that of SWRF. In the same moisture treated rice flour, swelling power was higher, but solubility was lower at $50^{\circ}C$ than at $70^{\circ}C$. The initial pasting temperature by RVA increased after moisture-heat treatment. The peak viscosity of moisture-heat treated rice flour was higher for 30% moisture than that of the others. The rice flour treated with 30% MC and heated at $50^{\circ}C$ showed low setback and increased stability for retrogradation.
In the Cheju Island, there are high salinity water yield in the coastal area. There are various reason; the main reason is low-groundwater level by the structure of geology, and over-yielding etc. This study analysis water quality, the distribution of high salinity wells. 16 sample well logged the electronic geology survey. As result of distribution of Cl$^-$ is the East Area is high than other areas. Water quality test data divides 6 group by sea level of well bottom: over Om, Om~-1Om, -10~-20m, -20~-30m, -30~-40m, under -40m. According collect data of Kriging, and logged the electronic geology survey, and other survey are related chlorine(Cl$^-$). The map of Cl$^-$ distribution was made. Bukcheju Gun, Hallim Up, there are 2 wells prevent high salinity water. Both of well are effective grout sill salinity water intrusion aquifer.

Three polyphenol oxidase(polyphenol oxidase I, II and III ) were isolated from the crude extract of a Spuriopimpinella bracycarpa by $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ precipitation and subsequent Sephadex G-150 chromatography. The final preparation thus obtained showed three peaks of enzyme activity. Optimum pH and temperature for the activity of polyphenol oxidase were 7.5 and $30^{\circ}C$, respectively. The enzyme was completely inactivated when i4 was treated at$70^{\circ}C$ for 30min and at $80^{\circ}C$ for 5min at pH 6.5. The enzyme was partially inactivated by ascorbic acid, glutathione and potassium cyanide (0.1mM), and was completely inhibited by L-cysteine, ascorbic acid, glutathione and potassium cyanide(0.5 and 1.0mM). The enzyme has good activity on catechol and 3,4-dihydroxytoluene but was strongly inactivated on pyrogallol, dopamine and DL-dopa. The Michaelis cons4ant of the enzyme was 86.5mM with catechol as a substrate.

A halotolerant and extracellular pretense producing yeast was isolated from traditional Meju and identified as a strain of Hansenular sp. S-9 by investigation of its microbiological characteristics. The optimum pH, temperature and NaCl concentration for growth of Hansenular sp. S-9 were pH 7.5, $30^{\circ}C$ and 0.5M, respectively. The protease production from Hansenular sp. S-9 was maximized when it was grown on BD medium containing 1.0% beef extract, 1.0% glucose and 0.5M NaCl for 72 h at $30^{\circ}C$.
We present CCD UBVI photometry for more than 10,000 stars in $20'.5{\times}20'.5$ field of the halo globular cluster M30. From a color-magnitude diagram, main sequence turnoff was obtained when $V_{TO},\;(B-V)_{TO},\;and\;(V-I)_{TO}\;are\;8.63{\pm}0.05,\;0.44{\pm}0.05\;and\;0.63{\pm}0.05$, respectively. From a (U-B)-(B-V) diagram, reddening parameter, E(B-V) equals $0.05{\pm}0.01$ and a UV color excess ${\delta}(U-B)\;is\;0.27{\pm}0.01$. The abundance is derived, where [Fe/H] equals $-2.05{\pm}0.09$ according to the photometric method and spectroscopic data. The observed luminosity function of M30 shows an excess in the number of red giants relative to the number of turnoff stars, when comparing with the predictions of canonical models. Using the Hipparcos parallaxes for subdwarfs, we estimate distance modulus, $(m-M)_o\;as\;14.75{\pm}0.12$. Using the R and R' method, we find helium abundances, Y(R) as $0.23{\pm}0.02$, Y(R') as $0.29{\pm}0.02$, respectively. Finally, the cluster' sage dispersion was deduced from 10.71 Gyr to 17 Gyr.
