Faraday효과를 이용한 광CT 기술 개발 연구 (The Study on The Skil Development of Optical CT Using Faraday Effects)

  • 본 논문에서는 초고압 전력설비에서의 대전류 측정을 위한 광CT(optical current transformer)개발을 목적으로한 기초 연구를 하였다. 자기장에 의해서 광신호의 편광특성이 변화되는 Faraday 효과를 기본 이론으로 하며, 1310[nm] Laser Diode를 광원으로 사용하고 5[m], 10pm], 20[m]의 길이가 서로 다른 광섬유로 센싱부를 구성하였다. 전류의 측정은 400[A]에서 1300[A]까지의 범위에서 측정하였으며 센싱부를 구성한 광섬유의 길이에 따른 출력 특성을 파악하기 위한 실험을 하였다. 동일한 실험환경에서 각각의 출력의 크기 및 선형성은 인가 전류 및 광섬유의 길이에 비례하여 증가하였으며, 5[m]광섬유를 센싱부로 사용한 것은 최대 -11.1%의 오차율을, 10[m], 20[m]의 경우 각각 최대 -3.5%, 1.7%의 오차율을 나타냈다.

RADIAL AND AZIMUTHAL OSCILLATIONS OF HALO CORONAL MASS EJECTIONS

  • We present the first observational detection of radial and azimuthal oscillations in full halo coronal mass ejections (HCMEs). We analyze nine HCMEs well-observed by LASCO from Feb 2011 to Jun 2011. Using the LASCO C3 running difference images, we estimated the instantaneous apparent speeds of the HCMEs in different radial directions from the solar disk center. We find that the development of all these HCMEs is accompanied with quasi-periodic variations of the instantaneous radial velocity with the periods ranging from 24 to 48 mins. The amplitudes of the instant speed variations reach about a half of the projected speeds. The amplitudes are found to anti-correlate with the periods and correlate with the HCME speed, indicating the nonlinear nature of the process. The oscillations have a clear azimuthal structure in the heliocentric polar coordinate system. The oscillations in seven events are found to be associated with distinct azimuthal wave modes with the azimuthal wave number m=1 for six events and m=2 for one event. The polarization of the oscillations in these seven HCMEs is broadly consistent with those of their position angles with the mean difference of $42.5^{\circ}$. The oscillations may be connected with natural oscillations of the plasmoids around a dynamical equilibrium, or self-oscillatory processes, e.g. the periodic shedding of Alfvenic vortices. Our results indicate the need for advanced theory of oscillatory processes in CMEs.

Constraints on dark radiation from cosmological probes

  • We present joint constraints on the number of effective neutrino species $N_{eff}$ and the sum of neutrino masses ${\Sigma}m_{\nu}$, based on a technique which exploits the full information contained in the one-dimensional Lyman-${\alpha}$ forest flux power spectrum, complemented by additional cosmological probes. In particular, we obtain $N_{eff}=2.91{\pm}0.22$ (95% CL) and ${\Sigma}m_{\nu}$ < 0.15 eV (95% CL) when we combine BOSS Lyman-${\alpha}$ forest data with CMB (Planck+ACT+SPT+WMAP polarization) measurements, and $N_{eff}=2.88{\pm}0.20$ (95% CL) and ${Sigma}m_{\nu}$ < 0.14 eV (95% CL) when we further add baryon acoustic oscillations. Our results tend to favor the normal hierarchy scenario for the masses of the active neutrino species, provide strong evidence for the Cosmic Neutrino Background from $N_{eff}{\approx}3$($N_{eff}=0$ is rejected at more than $14{\sigma}$), and rule out the possibility of a sterile neutrino thermalized with active neutrinos (i.e., $N_{eff}=4$) - or more generally any decoupled relativistic relic with $${\Delta}N_{eff}{\sim_=}1$$ - at a significance of over $5{\sigma}$, the strongest bound to date, implying that there is no need for exotic neutrino physics in the concordance ${\Lambda}CDM$ model.

PMW-PNN-PZT계 세라믹스의 유전및 압전특성 (Dielectric and Piezoelectric Properties of PMW-PNN-PZT System Ceramics)

  • In this paper the structural dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb[(M $g_{1}$2// $W_{1}$2/)$_{x}$-(N $i_{1}$3//N $b_{2}$3/)$_{0.15-x-(Zr_{0.5})}$ $Ti_{0.5}$)$_{0.85}$$O_3$ (x=0.0~0.10) ceramic were investigated with the substitution of Pb(M $g_{1}$2// $W_{1}$2/) $O_3$. According to the substitution of Pb(M $g_{1}$2//W/1/2/) $O_3$ curie temperatures were slightly decrease due to the decrease of the tetrag-onality of crystal structure and coercive fields were decreased. Up to the substitution of Pb(M $g_{1}$2// $W_{1}$2/) $O_3$ 3mol%,remnant polarization dielectric constant piezoelectric constant were increased. Dielectric constant and electro-mechanical coupling factor( $k_{p}$, $k_{31}$ ) were appeared the highest value of 2230, 0.64, and 0.38 and piezoelectric constant( $d_{33}$ , $d_{31}$ ) was the largest value of 418, 202($\times$10$^{-12}$ /C/N), respectively, when the substitution amount of Pb(M $g_{1}$2// $W_{1}$2/N) respectively, when the substitution amount of Pb(M $g_{1}$2// $W_{1}$2/) $O_3$ was 3mol%.s 3mol%.%.

430 스테인리스강의 틈부식 발생기구에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanism of Crevice Corrosion for 430 Stainless Steel)

  • Crevice corrosion is localized form of corrosion usually associated with a stagnant solution on the micro-environmental level. Such stagnant micro environments tend to occur in crevices (shielded areas) such as those formed under gaskets washers insulation material. fastener heads. surface deposits. disbonded coatings. threads. lap joints and clamps. Crevice corrosion is initiated by changes in located electrochemical reaction within the crevice such as a) depletion of inhibitor in the crevice b) depletion of oxygen in the crevice c) a shift to acid conditions in the crevice and d) build-up of aggressive ion species (e.g chloride) in the crevice. In this study. the mechanism of crevice corrosion for Type 430 stainless steel is investigated undercondition that the size of specimen is $15{\times}20\{times}3mm$, in 1N $H_2SO_4$ + 0.05N NaCl solution. and the artificial crevice gap size of 3 x 0.2 x 15 mm. Crevice corrosion is measured under applied potential -300mV(SCE) to the external surface. The obtained result of this study showed that 1) the induced time for initiation of crevice is 750 seconds. 2) potential of the crevice was about from -320mV to -399mV. which is lower than that of external surface potential of -300mV It is considered that potential drop in the crevice is one of mechanisms for the crevice corrosion

In Situ Scanning Tunneling Microscope of Cyanide and Thiocyanate Adsorption on Pt(111)

  • Cyclic voltammetry and in situ STM were employed to examine the interfacial structures of a Pt(111) electrode in 0.1 mM KCN (pH9.5) and 0.1 mM KSCN (pH7) solutions. In situ STM atomic resolution revealed well ordered (2${\surd}$3${\times}$2${\surd}$3)$R30^{\circ}$-6CN and ($2{\times}2$)-2SCN structures within the double layer charging region. Six CN adsorbates formed a hollow hexagon, which embraced a coadsorbed $K^+$ cation. In contrast, the coadsorbed $K^+$ cations on the SCN covered Pt(111) were poorly ordered, despite adsorbed SCN formed a long range ordered ($2{\times}2$)-2SCN adlattice. In situ STM revealed the pronounced influence of potential in controlling the structures of compact layers at the proximity of a Pt electrode. Cathodic polarization facilitated the replacement of the coadsorbed cations by protons.

TiN 이온 플레이팅한 강판의 내식성에 관한 연구 (II)-Ni 및 Ni-Ti 하지코팅의 영향- (Corrosion Behavior of TiN Ion Plated Steel Plate(II)-Effects of Ni and Ni/Ti interlayers-)

  • The effect of interlayer coating of Ni and Ti on corrosion behavior was studied in TiN ion plated steel plate. Interlayer coating was carried out in a single and bi-layer to a various thickness combination prior to final TiN coating of $2\mu\textrm{m}$. Corrosion behavior was evaluated by anodic polarization test in 1N H2SO4 as well as salt spray test. Porosity of each coating was also tested by using SO2 test. Corrosion resistance was improved with increasing the thickness of Ni interlayer coating and Ni-Ti interlayer coating markedly enhanced the corrosion resistance. Ni/Ti interlayer coating of $2\mu\textrm{m}$/2$\mu\textrm{m}$ prior to $2\mu\textrm{m}$ TiN coating decreased the corrosion current density of active range by an order of 4 and that of passive range by an order of 1. This improvement was associated with the retardation of corrosive agent penetration with increasing coating thickness and inherent corrosion resistance of Ni and Ti interlayers, Ni/Ti interlayers coating were also very effective in improvement of corrosion resistance under salt atmosphere.

  • Electrolytic corrosion of the ship's hull can be occurred due to stray current during welding work using shore power and electrical leakage using shore power supply. The electrolytic corrosion characteristics were investigated for Al5083-H321 through potentiodynamic polarization and galvanostatic corrosion test in natural seawater. Experiments of electrolytic corrosion were tested at various current densities ranging from $0.01mA/cm^2$ to $10mA/cm^2$ for 30 minutes, and at various applied time ranging from 60 to 240 minutes. Evaluation of electrolytic corrosion was carried out by Tafel extrapolation, weight loss, surface analysis after the experiment. In the electrolytic corrosion characteristics of Al5083-H321 as the current density increased, the surface damage tended to proportionally increase. In the current density of $0.01mA/cm^2$ for a applied long time, the damage tended to grow on the surface. In the case of $10mA/cm^2$ current density for a applied long time, the damage progressed to the depth direction of the surface, and the amount of weight loss per hour increased to 4 mg/hr.

Dependence of Poling Field on Pyroelectric Property of $Pb_{0.9}La_{0.1}TiO_3$ Ceramics

  • The pyroelectric property of $Pb_{0.9}La$_{0.1}TiO_3$ceramics in a range of 1.3-4.1$\mu\textrm{m}$, fabricated by conventional solid sintering, was investigated as a function of poling field. The pyroelectric of the 4.1$\mu\textrm{m}$ of $Pb_{0.9}La$_{0.1}TiO_3$ceramics is higher than that of the 1.3$\mu\textrm{m}$ and 1.7$\mu\textrm{m}$ of $Pb_{0.9}La$_{0.1}TiO_3$ceramics at a low poling field and the pyroelectric coefficient is 25nC/$\textrm{cm}^2$K at a 4kV/mm poling field in every grain size. In order to explain this phenomenon, the intrinsic and extrinsic effects in view of the definition of the pyroelectric coefficient are introduced. The intrinsic and extrinsic effects on the pyroelectric property were investigated by measuring the tetragonal ratio and the $I_{002}$ with temperature with high temperature X-ray diffractometer. The change of spontaneous polarization and the $90^{\circ}$domain wall motion with temperature in the 1.3$\mu\textrm{m}$ and 4.2$\mu\textrm{m}$ of $Pb_{0.9}La$_{0.1}TiO_3$ceramics have no effects on the pyroelectric coefficient. In our study, it can be seen that the pyroelectric coefficient is related to the quantity of $180^{\circ}$domain switching after poling treatment.

Improvement of the Figure of Merit in Pb[(Mg1/3Ta2/3)0.7Ti0.3]O3 Systems

  • The $Pb[(Mg_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})_{0.7}Ti_{0.3}]O_3$+xwt%PbO systems at temperature of $1250^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours was successful synthesized. In this study, PbO-doped $Pb[(Mg_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})_{0.7}Ti_{0.3}]O_3$ systems with non-linear behaviors showed ordering-degree dependence at the low temperature range were prepared using the columbite precursor method. And the characteristic of remnant polarization vs. electric field were analyzed. The pyroelectric, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of partially disordered $Pb[(Mg_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})_{0.7}Ti_{0.3}]O_3$+xwt%PbO solid solutions were studied as a function of temperature, frequency, and electric field. It showed distinct features of temperature dependent of pyroelectric coefficient, spontaneous polarization and dielectric constant at about $50^{\circ}C$. The figure of merit was calculated as pyroelectric coefficient, dielectric constant and dissipation factor. It was found that the high voltage responsivity FV, high detectivity FD were $0.0373m^2/C$ and $0.6735{\times}10^{-4}Pa{-1/2}$, respectively, in the $Pb[(Mg_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})_{0.7}Ti_{0.3}]O_3$+3.0 wt%PbO system.
