Fabrication of Porous Calcium Phosphate by Using a Pre-Form of Nature Material (자연물의 미세구조를 활용한 다공성 인산칼슘 제조)

  • Porous calcium phosphates were successfully fabricated by using a cuttlefish bone. The cuttlefish bone, which is composed of $CaCO_3$, showed a special porous microstructure containing uniform-sized voids. In this study, the pre-forms infiltrated distilled phosphoric acid were sintered at $1200^{\circ}C$ in an air atmosphere. The porous microstructure of the pre-forms was kept their original pattern after sintering with a synthesis of calcium phosphate. The obtained porous calcium phosphate, sintered at $1200^{\circ}C$ for 3 h at 17% concentration of phosphoric acid, showed uniform open pores of 150 ${\mu}m$ in size and $\beta$-TCP phase in the XRD patterns. Above 16% concentration, CaO phase, derived from the decomposition of $CaCO_3$, decreased gradually in the sintered samples, and the measured Ca/P ratios of the samples prepared from 16% and 18% concentration were 1.67 and 1.43, which are close to stoichiometric HA (1.66) and $\beta$-TCP (1.50).

  • Today's robots consist of many hardware and software subsystems, depending on the functions needed for specific tasks. Integration of subsystems can require a great deal of effort, as both the communication method and protocol of the subsystem can vary. This paper proposes an expandable robotic system in which all subsystems are integrated under Robot Operation System (ROS) framework. To achieve this, the paper presents a software library, ROS_M, developed to implement the TCP/IP-based ROS communication protocol in different control environments such as MCU and RT kernel based embedded system. Then, all the subsystem including hardware can use ROS protocol consistently for communication, which makes adding new software or hardware subsystems to the robotic system easier. A latency measurement experiment reveals that the system built for loop control can be used in a soft real-time environment. Finally, an expandable mobile manipulator robot is introduced as an application of the proposed system. This robot consists of four subsystems that operate in different control environments.

  • Due to global warming, the need to secure an alternative resource has become more important nationally. Having very strong current on the west coast with up to 10 m tidal range, there are many suitable site for the application of TCP (Tidal Current Power) in Korea. On the south west regions between many islands that create strong current in the narrow channels. The rotor is one of the essential components which can convert tidal current energy into rotational energy to generate electricity. The design optimization of rotor is very important to maximize the power production. The performance of rotor can be determined by various parameters including number of blades, shape, sectional size, diameters and etc. This paper introduces the multi-layer vertical axis tidal current power system which can be applied to offshore jetties and piers effectively. Various cases of VAT turbine were designed. Specifically, the number of blades and turbine shape are changed in several cases. Also, performance analysis was carried out by CFD.

  • Due to the global warming, the need to secure the alternative resources has become more important worldwide. Having very strong current on the west coast with up to 10 m tidal range, there are many suitable sites for the application of TCP(Tidal current power) in Korea. Not only from the current produced from the high tidal range, but also it can be widely applied to the offshore jetties and piers. The VAT(Vertical axis turbine) system could be very effective tidal device to extract the energies from the attacking flow to the structures. For the relatively slow current speed, the VAT system could be more effective application than HAT(Horizontal axis turbine) device. The performance of VAT can be evaluated by various parameters including number of blades, shape, sectional size, diameters and etc. The paper introduces the multi-layer vertical axis tidal current power system with savonius turbine. The turbine was designed with consideration of optimal blade numbers and the performance was simulated by CFD analysis.

  • Dynamic routing uses routing protocols to select the best routes and to update the routing table. RP (Routing Information Protocol)using a distance-vector algorithm becomes generally known a routing protocol on the network. RIP selects the route with the lowest "hop count" (metric) as the best route. but RIP has a serious shortcoming. a mP router cannot maintain a complete routing table for a network that has destinations more than 15 hops away. To overcome this defect, It uses the OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) of link -state protocols developed for TCP/IP. It is suitable for very large networks and provides several advantages over RIP. This paper analyzes the traffic and the link efficiency between two protocols such as message delivery and delay, link utilization, message counts on the same network.e network.

  • 최근 네트워크의 가용성을 침해하는 DDoS공격으로 국내외 주요 사이트가 마비되는 사건이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 TCP와 UDP의 자기유사성을 이용하여 유효 대역폭을 측정하고 네트워크의 가용성을 보장하기 위한 한계 대응 시점을 예측하였다. 그리고 실험을 통해 한계 대응 시점의 예측이 정확함을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel probing mechanism for adaptive transmission of video data based on congestion control and client state. The proposed mechanism is friendly to the network dominant transport protocols (TCP) and can reduce fluctuations compared to the previous works.

  • 클러스터 파일 시스템은 데이터 입출력 대역폭을 극대화하여 효율성을 높이고 각 노드의 입출력 부담을 균등하게 부과하기 위하여 원본 파일을 여러 노드에 분산 저장한다. 이렇게 파일을 노드들에 분산 저장하기 위해서는 효율적인 노드간 데이터 통신을 필요로 하며, 노드 내부에서도 클러스터 파일 시스템과 어플리케이션과의 효율적인 전용 데이터 교환 메커니즘을 지원해야 한다. 이를 위해 사용자 수준 통신 프로토콜인 VIA를 선정하여 운영체제(Operating System)의 간섭으로 인한 네트워크 계층간의 데이터 복사에 의한 병목현상을 줄이고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 노드간 데이터 통신을 위해 M-VIA를 이용하여 통신모듈을 설계 및 구현하였다. 그리고 실제 성능테스트를 통하여 기존의 소켓 기반인 TCP/IP를 이용한 통신모듈과의 성능을 비교 평가하고 확인 한다.

  • This paper shows the development of remote control system for manipulators which consists of PHANToM Device as a master, Samsung FARA robot as a slave and TCP/IP based LAN fortheir Communication. This work includes the motion mapping between the master and the slave, Generation of virtual viscosity force preventing operator's unwilled action and 3D remote control simulators for the stable operation of the remote control system, etc. The remote control implementation has been performed and the results shows that the developed system can allow the operator to effectively control the manipulator.
