Analysis on the Driving Safety and Investment Effect using Severity Model of Fatal Traffic Accidents (대형교통사고 심각도 모형에 의한 주행안전성 및 투자효과 분석)

  • In this study, we discuss a fatal accident severity model obtained from the analysis of 112 crash sites collected since 2000, and the resulting relationship between fatal accidents and roadway geometry design. From the 720 times computer simulations for improving driving safety, we then reached the following conclusions:. First, the result of cross and frequency-analyses on the car accident sites showed that 43.7% of the accidents occurred on the curved roads, 60.7% on the vertical curve section, 57.2% on the roadways with radius of curvature of 0 to 24m, 83.9% on the roads with superelevation of 0.1 to 2.0% and 49.1% on the one-way 2-lane roads; vehicle types involved are passenger vehicles (33.0%), trucks (20.5%) and buses (14.3%) in order of frequency. The results also show that the superelevation is the most influencing factor for the fatal accidents. Second, employing the Ordered Probit Model (OPM), we developed a severity model for fatal accidents being a function of on various road conditions so as to the damages can be predicted. The proposed model possibly assists the practitioners to predict dangerous roadway segments, and to take appropriate measures in advance. Third, computer simulation runs show that providing adequate superelevation on the segment where a fatal accident occurred could reduce similar fatal accidents by at least 85%. This result indicates that the regulations specified in the Rule for Road Structure and Facility Standard (description and guidelines) should be enhanced to include more specific requirement for providing the superelevation.

  • 최근 인구의 과밀화와 이에 따른 지가의 상승 등으로 대표적인 주거용 빌딩인 아파트의 고층화가 급속하게 진행되고 있고 아파트에 설치되는 엘리베이터도 점차 대형화, 고속화 되고 있다. 실례로 15층 아파트의 경우 11인승, 60m/min의 엘리베이터가 일반적으로 사용되는 반면, 20층 아파트의 경우 17인승, 90m/min이 주로 사용된다. 이와 같이 엘리베이터의 용량과 운행 속도가 증가함에 따라 필연적으로 소음 및 진동 문제가 발생하게 된다. 특히 아파트의 경우 침실, 공부방 등 고도의 정숙을 요하는 생활 공간이 많고, 내부 공간의 활용도를 높이기 위하여 이들 방들이 엘리베이터 기계실 또는 운행 통로와 직접 접하여 있는 경우도 있어 이 경우 소음, 진동 문제는 아주 심각한 문제로 대두된다. 본 연구소가 측정한 방에 의하면 S신도시 L아파트의 경우 아파트 최상층 방에서 실내 소음도가 46dB(A), 벽의 진동가속도가 3.4mm/s$^{2}$(RMS)으로 나타났다. 진동의 경우 생활에 직접적인 악영향을 미칠 수준은 아니지만 소음의 경우 ASHRAE 권장 주택소음 기준치가 35dB(A) 이하임ㅇㄹ 감안하면 주거에 곤란한 수준이다. 수년전, 고층 아파트가 보급될 초기에는 아파트에 엘리베이터가 설치되어있다는 그 자체만으로 충분한 장점이 되어 다소음 소음, 진동문제는 큰 불만거리가 되지 않았지만 엘리베이터가 보편화된 지금에는 엘리베이터의 편리성만으로는 점점더 크게 요구되는 정숙성이 보상되지 않는다. 따라서 전반적인 아파트의 소음, 진동 문제에 큰 비중을 차지하는 엘리베이터에 의한 소음, 진동에 관하여 체계적인 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본고에서는 엘리베이터에 의한 아파트의 소음 및 진동에 관하여 그 현황, 원인 그리고 대책에 관한여 논하고자 한다.감 방법을 연구하였고, T.Sakai는 5자유도 모델을 이용하여 엔진 공회전시 발생하는 치타음에 대해 이론과 실험을 통해 해석하고, 엔진 회전수 변동, 클러치 특성, 변속기의 드래그(drag) 토크의 영향과 치타음 저감을 위한 개선된 클러치 특성을 제시하였다. 이 외에도 Thomas C.T.와 E.P.Petkus는 특정 차량에 대한 동력전달계의 비틀림 진동 현상에 대해 연구하였다. 이러한 연구들로 볼 때, 자동차 동력전달계에서 발생하는 진동은 이론과 실험을 통해 그 해석이 가능하며 설계에 매우 유용하게 이용되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 4 실린더 4 싸이클 1.5 L 엔진을 장착한 경승용차의 실차 주행실험을 통해 가속 페달의 급조작에 따른 차체의 종진동 현상을 측정하고, 엔진-변속기-타이어-차체의 반환정계 4자유도 진동모델로 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 실차 주행실험의 결과치와 비교, 분석한 후 클러치 비틀림 특성을 비롯한 자동차 동력전달계의 각 설계인자들이 차체의 종진동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 해석하고자 한다.be presented.LIFO, 우선 순위 방식등을 선택할 수 있도록 확장하였다. Identification of the quantitative trait loci for breaking and bending types lodging resistance in rice, using recombinant inbred lines derived from Koshihikari and a strong culm variety, leaf star

  • To develop rice cultivars with increased biomass and grain yield, superior lodging resistance is an essential trait. The new breeding approach can be adopted for the improvement of stem lodging resistance by enhancing culm strength. The resistance to breaking type lodging is attributed to bending moment of basal culm (M), which is composed of the section modulus (SM) and bending stress (BS). The resistance to the bending type lodging is attributed to flexural rigidity (FR) of stem, which is composed of the secondary moment of inertia (SMI) and Young's modulus (YM). Starch and cell wall components such as cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin also play a significant role in physical strength of culm, and thus affect lodging. Leaf Star has a superior lodging resistance due to its thick and stiff culm because of its high M and FR compared with Koshihikari. Furthermore, Leaf Star contains high densities of hemicellulose, cellulose and low lignin density in culm compared with Koshihikari. In this study, we performed QTL analysis for these traits associated with culm strength, using 94 recombinant inbred lines (RILs, $F_8$), derived from a cross between Leaf Star and Koshihikari. The SM in the RILs showed a continuous distribution. QTLs for SM were detected on chrs.2, 3 and 10. Leaf Star alleles increased SM on chrs. 2 and 3, but Koshihikari allele increased on chr.10. These QTLs overlapped with those QTLs identified using backcrossed inbred line derived from a cross between Chugoku 117 and Koshihikari, the parents of Leaf Star. The FR in Leaf Star was higher than that in Koshihikari due to the larger SMI and YM. 3 QTLs for SMI were detected on chrs.2, 3 and 10. Leaf Star alleles increased SMI on chrs.2 and 3, and Koshihikari alleles increased on chr.10. One QTL on chr.3 and two QTLs on chr.5 for hollocelulose content were detected with Leaf Star alleles contribution. Moreover, two QTLs were detected for hemicellulose density on chrs.3 and 5. Leaf Star allele increased hemicellulose density on chr.5, and Koshihikari allele increased on chr.3. Furthermore, two QTLs for cellulose density were detected on chr.5, and one QTL on chr.2. For starch content, one QTL on chr.3 and two QTLs on chr.5 with Leaf Star alleles contribution were detected. TULK-6 carrying a chromosome segment of Leaf Star on chr.5 in the Koshihikari genetic background showed higher densities of starch and hemicellulose than those in Koshihikari. These results suggest that the detected QTLs for culm strength could be utilized for the improvement of lodging resistance in rice by marker-assisted selection.

브라디키닌 수용체 발현 및 길항제개발에 관한 연구

  • 신장에서 브라디키닌(Bradikinin, BK)의 생리적 역할을 규명하기 위한 첫 단계로 토끼신장 근위세뇨관의 일차배양세포를 이용, BK 수용체를 ($^3$H) BK를 이용하여 수용체결합실험을 함과 아울러 세포배양과정에서 여러 성장인자들의 BK 수용체발현에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 첫째, 토끼 신장의 피질, 수질 및 근 위세뇨관 둥 각 부위에 대한 BK 수용체결합 실험결과 신수질 부분에 가장 많은 BK 수용체가 발견되었으며 이때 해리항수는 0.52 nM, 그리고 최대결합부위는 mg 단배질당 112.5 fmol이었다. 둘째, serum free 배지에서 insulin, transferrin 그리고 hydrocortisone이 성장인자로 사용될 때 BK 수용체발현이 가장 높았으며 이 중 인슐린에 가장 큰 영향을 받았다. 한편 인슐린의 최적농도를 결정하는 실험의 결과 5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml매서 가장 높은 수용체발현을 나타내었으며 그 이상에서는 별다른 차이를 보이지 못했다. 세째, 위의 세 성장인자에 prostaglandin E$_1$이나 triiodothyronine을 첨가시 BK 수용체발현은 오히려 저하되었다. 네째, fetal bovine serum (FBS)과 위의 세 성장인자간의 수용체발현능을 비교한 실험에서 세포배양 후 첫 일주일에는 FBS가 세 성장인자보다 약간 나은 수용체발현능을 나타내었으나 그후 이주째에는 세 성장인자가 BK 수용체발현에 더 적절한 요소임을 보여주었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 토끼 근위세뇨관 상피세포에서의 BK 수용체발현은 세포성장인자로 insulin, transferrin, hydrocortisone 중 insulin에 가장 큰 영향을 받는것으로 보이며, 이들 세가지 성장인자는 serum free 배지에서 세포성장 및 기능에 많은 영향을 주는 것으로 생각된다.prolidine이 $K_{M}$ /K$_{H}$ 비가 가장 높았고 diphenidol이 가장 낮았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 항 histamine제의 muscarinic receptor 차단작용은 이들 약물의 항 alleragy 효과에 필요한 작용이 아니며 본 실험에서 추정된 항 histamine제의 H$_1$-receptor와 muscarinic receptor에 대한 상대적 역가는 이들 약물의 선택과 평가에 중요한 지표가 될수 있을 것으로 생각된다.ing ischemic insults.   • In this study, we analyzed the effect of the Eungam Loop Line of Seoul Subway Line 6 on the sale price of adjacent row and multi-family houses on the accessibility and structural characteristics of subway stations. This study empirically analyzed a total of 17,938 cases from 2006 to 2017 based on data on the sale price of row and multi-family houses. In summary, the results of this study using the Hedonic Price Model are as follows. First, this study confirms that the Eungam Loop Line characteristics have a positive effect on the sale price as it is adjacent to the subway station. It is noteworthy that the sale price of 100-200m segment has a positive effect, and the sale price of Bulgwang station, which has excellent mobility and connectivity with CBD, YBD and GBD, has a positive effect. Second, this study shows the locational characteristics such as distance to bus stop, distance to mart, and distance to school have influence on the sale price. Third, this study finds the land characteristics such as land area, land shape, land facing, and road width, have significant effects on the sale price. Fourth, this study discovers the sale price is also is also affected by building and floor characteristics such as the type of housing, building area, the number of households, building age, elevator, and floor level.

Prestenotic Bronchial Radioaerosol Deposition: A New Lung Scan Sign of Bronchial Obstruction (기관지 협착 근위부의 연무 침착: 폐스캔에서 기관지 폐색의 특이한 지표)

  • The present study has been carried out to assess the diagnostic usefulness of radioaerosol lung scan in complete bronchial obstruction (n=7) and bronchial narrowing (n=1) of varying causes. $^{99m}Tc$-phytate lung scan was performed using the aerosol generated by a BARC nebulizer. Scan alterations were correlated with those of chest radiography, bronchography, lung CT and/or brochoscopy. In every case scan showed characteristic intense deposition of radioaerosol in a short slightly dilated, bronchial segment immediately proximal to obstruction or stenosis. Characteristically it was accompanied by an airspace aerosol deposition defect distally. The finding of a short, clubbed, bronchial radioaerosol deposition with distal airspace defect is a sensitive, specific indicator of bronchial obstruction or stenosis. It was especially useful in the detection of the obstruction of a small bronchus at the lobar and sublobar levels. We propose to name it the prestenotic aerosol deposition sign.

Mobile Robot Localization and Mapping using Scale-Invariant Features (스케일 불변 특징을 이용한 이동 로봇의 위치 추정 및 매핑)

  • A key component of an autonomous mobile robot is to localize itself accurately and build a map of the environment simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a vision-based mobile robot localization and mapping algorithm using scale-invariant features. A camera with fisheye lens facing toward to ceiling is attached to the robot to acquire high-level features with scale invariance. These features are used in map building and localization process. As pre-processing, input images from fisheye lens are calibrated to remove radial distortion then labeling and convex hull techniques are used to segment ceiling region from wall region. At initial map building process, features are calculated for segmented regions and stored in map database. Features are continuously calculated from sequential input images and matched against existing map until map building process is finished. If features are not matched, they are added to the existing map. Localization is done simultaneously with feature matching at map building process. Localization. is performed when features are matched with existing map and map building database is updated at same time. The proposed method can perform a map building in 2 minutes on $50m^2$ area. The positioning accuracy is ${\pm}13cm$, the average error on robot angle with the positioning is ${\pm}3$ degree.

Evaluation of Seismic Performance of Prefabricated Bridge Piers with a Circular Solid Section (중실원형단면 조립식 교각의 내진 성능 평가)

  • Fast bridge construction has been increasingly needed according to the changed construction environment. This paper deals with quasi-static tests on precast piers for bridge substructures. One of the most crucial aspect of the design of precast prestressed concrete bridge piers is the seismic performance. Seven precast pier elements were fabricated. The amount of prestressing bars, the prestressing force, and the location and number of the joint between segments were the main test parameters. Test results showed that the introduced axial prestress made the restoration of the deformation under small lateral displacement and minor damage. However, there was no effect of the prestress when the plastic hinge region was damaged severely due to large lateral displacement. Judging from the observed damage, the design of the joints in precast piers should be done for the first joint between the foundation and the pier segment. The amount of the necessary prestressing steel may be designed to satisfy the P-M diagram according to the service loads, not by having the same steel ratio as normal RC bridge piers. In order to satisfy the current required displacement ductility, it is necessary to have the same amount of the transverse reinforcements as RC piers. As the steel ratio increases, the energy absorption capacity increases. The number of joints showed a little influence on the energy absorption capacity.

  • External morphology characteristics of the greenhouse whitefly, Trialeurodes vaporarium were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The antennae of the greenhouse whitefly was 6 segments. rod-shape, and 0.3mm length. On the 6th segment, there were many sensilla for searching host-plant as olfactory receptor. The mouthpart of the greenhouse whitefly was a piercing-sucing type, then its stylet was well developed for piercing plant leaf tissue. Claw of the foreleg was a 3-way hook shape including paranychium for attaching plant surface to pierce and lay egg.

A Study of Statistic Behavior of Segmental U-shaped Prestressed Concrete Girder Applied with Integrated Tensioning Systems (복합긴장방식이 적용된 세그멘탈 U형 거더 정적 거동 연구)

  • Purpose: This study verified the safety of the improved box-type girder behavior by comparing and evaluating the bending behavior results of a full-scale specimen based on the analytical behavior of the splice element PSC U-shaped girder with integrated tensioning systems. Method: Based on the results of the service and strength limit state design using the bridge design standard(limit state design method), the applied load of a 40m full-scale specimen was calculated and a static loading experiment using the four-point loading method was performed. Result: When the design load, crack load, and ultimate load were applied, the specimen deflection occurred at 97.1%, 98.5%, and 79.0% of the analytical deflection value. When the design load, crack load, and ultimate load were applied, the crack gauge was measured at 0.009~0.035mm, 0.014~0.050mm, and 6.383~5.522mm at each connection. Conclusion: The specimen behaved linear-elastically until the crack load was applied, and after cracks occurred, it showed strainhardening up to the ultimate load, and it was confirmed that the resistance of bending behavior was clearly displayed against the applied load. The cracks in the dry joints were less than 25% of grade B based on the evaluation of facility condition standard. The final residual deformation after removing the ultimate load was 0.114mm, confirming the stable behavior of the segment connection.
