This is to show some basic data for introducing both circulated aggregate and recycled powder producing waste concrete. Standard-mixing design for 24MPa has been basically used and added and replaced normal aggregate with recycled powder made of waste concrete. In addition, polycarboxylate high-range water reducing agent has been used because recycled powder is missing adhesive strength and it is not compare with cement's adhesive strength. Compressive strength with powder mixture of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% has been decreased down to 80% of normal concrete material strength without recycled powder mixture. $200^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$ heated concrete were compressively tested in order to find out concrete strength resistant to high temperature. heat capacity was also tested, based on the expectancy of its low conductivity. In addition, thermal conduction test was tested in order to find out concrete insulation. According to this test, when concrete was tested by fire resistance, it using the circulation aggregate was same resulted by concrete using the natural aggregate. also, recycle powder was not effecting insulation performance. but it is fit to standard on concrete insulation of building law.

Structural health monitoring to determine structural conditions at an early stage and to efficiently manage the energy requirements of buildings using systems that collects relevant data, is under active investigation. Structural monitoring requires cutting-edge technology in which construction, sensing, and ICT technologies are combined. However, the scope of application is limited because expensive sensors and specialized technical skills are often required. In this study, a Raspberry Pi module, one of the most widely used single board computers, a Lora module that is capable of long-distance communication at low power, and a high-performance accelerometer are used to construct a wireless edge computing system that can monitor building response over an extended time period. In addition, the Raspberry Pi module utilizes an edge computing algorithm, and only meaningful data is obtained from the vast amount of acceleration data acquired in real-time. The raw data acquired using Wi-Fi communication are compared to the Laura data to evaluate the accuracy of the data obtained using the system.

Mobile multi-robot teams are useful in many critical applications such as search and rescue. Explicit communication among robots in such mobile multi-robot teams is useful for the coordination of such teams as well as exchanging data. Since many applications for mobile robots involve scenarios in which communication infrastructure may be damaged or unavailable, mobile robot teams frequently need to communicate with each other via ad hoc networking. In such scenarios, low-overhead and energy-efficient routing protocols for delivering messages among robots are a key requirement. Two important primitives for communication are essential for enabling a wide variety of mobile robot applications. First, unicast communication (between two robots) needs to be provided to enable coordination and data exchange. Second, in many applications, group communication is required for flexible control, organization, and management of the mobile robots. Multicast provides a bandwidth-efficient communication method between a source and a group of robots. In this paper, we first propose and evaluate two unicast routing protocols tailored for use in ad hoc networks formed by mobile multi-robot teams: Mobile robot distance vector (MRDV) and mobile robot source routing (MRSR). Both protocols exploit the unique mobility characteristics of mobile robot networks to perform efficient routing. Our simulation study show that both MRDV and MRSR incur lower overhead while operating in mobile robot networks when compared to traditional mobile ad hoc network routing protocols such as DSR and AODV. We then propose and evaluate an efficient multicast protocol mobile robot mesh multicast (MRMM) for deployment in mobile robot networks. MRMM exploits the fact that mobile robots know what velocity they are instructed to move at and for what distance in building a long lifetime sparse mesh for group communication that is more efficient. Our results show that MRMM provides an efficient group communication mechanism that can potentially be used in many mobile robot application scenarios.

In this paper, we present an effective sound classification system for recognizing the real-time context of a smartphone user. Our system avoids unnecessary consumption of limited computational resource by filtering both silence and white noise out of input sound data in the pre-processing step. It also improves the classification performance on low energy-level sounds by amplifying them as pre-processing. Moreover, for efficient learning and application of HMM classification models, our system executes the dimension reduction and discretization on the feature vectors through k-means clustering. We collected a large amount of 8 different type sound data from daily life in a university research building and then conducted experiments using them. Through these experiments, our system showed high classification performance.
Building on/with expansive soils with no treatment brings complications. Compacted expansive soils specifically fall short in satisfying the minimum requirements for transport embankment infrastructures, requiring the adoption of hauled virgin mineral aggregates or a sustainable alternative. Use of hauled aggregates comes at a high carbon and economical cost. On average, every 9m high embankment built with quarried/hauled soils cost $12600MJ.m^{-2}$ Embodied Energy (EE). A prospect of using mixed cutting-arising expansive soils with industrial/domestic wastes can reduce the carbon cost and ease the pressure on landfills. The widespread use of recycled materials has been extensively limited due to concerns over their long-term performance, generally low shear strength and stiffness. In this contribution, hydromechanical properties of a waste tyre sand-sized rubber (a mixture of polybutadiene, polyisoprene, elastomers, and styrene-butadiene) and expansive silt is studied, allowing the short- and long-term behaviour of optimum compacted composites to be better established. The inclusion of tyre shred substantially decreased the swelling potential/pressure and modestly lowered the compression index. Silt-Tyre powder replacement lowered the bulk density, allowing construction of lighter reinforced earth structures. The shear strength and stiffness decreased on addition of tyre powder, yet the contribution of matric suction to the shear strength remained constant for tyre shred contents up to 20%. Reinforced soils adopted a ductile post-peak plastic behaviour with enhanced failure strain, offering the opportunity to build more flexible subgrades as recommended for expansive soils. Residual water content and tyre shred content are directly correlated; tyre-reinforced silt showed a greater capacity of water storage (than natural silts) and hence a sustainable solution to waterlogging and surficial flooding particularly in urban settings. Crushed fine tyre shred mixed with expansive silts/sands at 15 to 20 wt% appear to offer the maximum reduction in swelling-shrinking properties at minimum cracking, strength loss and enhanced compressibility expenses.

In Korea, the dependence on imported energy is very high, and research to reduce standby power is being conducted based on Zigbee, a low-power technology, to reduce wasted power and improve power efficiency. However, because Zigbee is not an IoT standard protocol and is not network-based, it is necessary to build a network with a separate gateway, and research on standby power is insufficient because the standards for international power consumption of devices are ambiguous. Therefore, in this paper, we applied the IoT standard protocol MQTT to the existing Zigbee technology to build a network network without a separate gateway, and designed and implemented a standby power reduction system that collects standby power degradation and user patterns. As a result of evaluating with the existing system, it was confirmed that about 7.11% of standby power was consumed compared to the existing system.

The practice of identifying the potential zones for mineral exploration in a speedy and low-cost method includes the use of satellite imagery analysis as a part of remote sensing techniques. It is challenging to explore the iron mineralization of a region through conventional methods which are a time-consuming process. The current study utilizes the Hyperion satellite imagery for mapping the iron mineralization and associated geological features in the Irikkur region, Kannur, Kerala. Along with the remote sensing results, the field study and laboratory-based analysis were conducted to retrieve the ground truth point and geochemical proportion to verify the iron ore mineralization. The MC simulation showed for shielding properties indicate an increase in the linear attenuation coefficient with raising the Fe2O3+SiO2 concentrations in the investigated rocks where it is varied at 0.662 MeV in the range 0.190 cm-1 - 0.222 cm-1 with rising the Fe2O3+SiO2 content from 57.86 wt% to 71.15 wt%. The analysis also revealed that when the γ-ray energy increased from 0.221 MeV to 2.506 MeV, sample 1 had the largest linear attenuation coefficient, ranging from 9.33 cm1 to 0.12 cm-1. Charnockite rocks were found to have exceptional shielding qualities, making them an excellent natural choice for radiation shielding applications.

In order to reduce cooling and heating, which is 40% of the energy consumption of buildings, it is important to improve the insulation of the skin. In order to improve the existing insulation, research is being conducted to apply a vacuum insulation panel(VIP) to buildings. However, VIP cannot be repaired, so we considered the metal vacuum insulation panel. Since the core of the metal vacuum pressure and have low thermal conductivity, foam concrete is adopted. However, preliminary experiments confirmed that the time to reach 0.001torr differs depending on the amount and nature of the bubbles. This effect is determined by the type of foaming agent and the density of the bubble slurry, the vacuum delivery time is determined to be the optimum foam concrete conditions are necessary. Therfore, this study aims to present basic data applicable to core materials by measuring vacuum delivery time and thermal conductivity change according to the foaming agent type and foam slurry density of foam large concrete which is core material of metal vacuum insulation panel. Experimental results and analysis show that compressive strength can be used regardless of the type of foam, In terms of thermal conductivity, it is stable to use vegetable foaming agents at 0.9g/㎤ or less. In terms of the vacuum delivery time, the foaming agent appeared similar regardless of the type of foaming agent, but it is considered suitable to use vegetable foaming agent based on compressive strength and thermal conductivity.

BIM models allow building spaces to be instantiated and recognized as unique objects independently of model elements. These instantiated spaces provide the required semantics that can be leveraged for building code checking, energy analysis, and evacuation route analysis. However, theses spaces or rooms need to be designated manually, which in practice, lead to errors and omissions. Thus, most BIM models today does not guarantee the semantic integrity of space designations, limiting their potential applicability. Recent studies have explored ways to automate space allocation in BIM models using artificial intelligence algorithms, but they are limited in their scope and relatively low classification accuracy. This study explored the use of Graph Convolutional Networks, an algorithm exclusively tailored for graph data structures. The goal was to utilize not only geometry information but also the semantic relational data between spaces and elements in the BIM model. Results of the study confirmed that the accuracy was improved by about 8% compared to algorithms that only used geometric distinctions of the individual spaces.

Recently, development of non-traditional energy such as oil sands has been actively conducted in the cold region such as Canada. Frozen soil has different thermal and mechanical characteristics from general soil due to its high organic contents. This study evaluated the impact of organic matter content on the thermal and mechanical behavior of frozen soil samples collected from Alberta, Canada, and Gangwon Province, South Korea. As the organic content increases, the maximum dry unit weight decreases and the optimum moisture content increases in compaction tests. In uniaxial compression tests under frozen conditions, the strength of the frozen specimens increased as the temperature decreased. The strength of Canada soil sample increased with higher organic matter content at low temperatures. However, the strength of frozen soil was not significantly affected by organic matter content due to the complex behavior and unfrozen water content. Thermal conductivity tests showed higher thermal conductivity in frozen conditions compared to unfrozen conditions, due to the higher thermal conductivity of ice compared to water. These findings provide essential data for geotechnical design and construction in large-scale projects such as oil sands development in cold regions. Further research is needed to explore the impact of organic matter content on different types of frozen soils.
